Hotel Mar Ipanema ^{(2.5 stars)}

The location is ideal: a few minutes walk to the beach of ipanema (beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels in the room free of charge) and in the other direction facing the lagoon. With the bus one comes into the city and to all directions. Shopping possibilities are right outside the door. Breakfast and restaurant was very delicious and with good friendly service. In the lobby there is (only!) 1 internet access using obsolete hardware (as often in hotels). The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful! Very derogatory is the street noise and the noise the air ... conditioning. A part of the room has some newer and quieter air conditioning. read more
