Was in a round trip and before stay in a other hotel in Cuba not so very satisfied. Staff at the reception very unfriendly where you already with arrival no more desire had. Hotel in good condition and the hotel a dream. Two downside are the 'lake' in front of the beach where thousands of mosquitos and one despite repellent much zerstochen was, as well as the bad quality of the water the café and cocktails very tasted. read more

To many positive reviews my girlfriend and i were decided for this hotel. We regret it, however you should not luxury hotel expect. In a nutshell:
Positive:
- proximity to the beach
- clean beach
- good, clean pool
- well maintained hotel
- much evening entertainment
Negative:
- chlorwassergeschmack in a lot of drinks (coffee, cocktails)
- chlorwassergeschmack in many dishes (rice pudding, pasta)
- often no brand name drinks (both soft drinks, as well as alcohol)
All together the hotel you can for the price recommend. I am very sensitive, what these chlorwassergeschmack regards (some people have it ... not at all notice), which is why i no 2 time would book. Where however everybody agreed is, that the coffee because of the tap water not enjoyable is. read more

By hurricane shortly before our trip were still some areas of the reconstruction but in the second week almost everything was reconstituted. The time was way too short and the vacation just great.
A hotel, the mostly by canadians visited but also German, french and English were there.
The beach was very nice, however you could the first week only with bathing shoes into the sea as it is very stony. In the second week sand was started and you could stay safely into the sea.
For us it was a very nice vacation. read more

Nice hotel and beach, good and varied food, pleasant staff.
Positive:
+ choice and quality the cocktails (exception Mojito, there was hardly any mint inside)
+ 4-5 kochplätze in the buffet restaurant, where you can have a freshly prepared
+ the ice-cream parlor
Negative:
- bad evening entertainment (found in 2 weeks only once on the stage instead, otherwise always only in the lobby). I in guardelavaca already so much better (for example in brisas).
- dishes at the buffet often cold, particularly the egg dishes for breakfast
- beach nothing special large (about 1 kilometer)
- chairs on the ... beach uncomfortable (by the pool much better)
- the daily plate of the chairs. Does for the beach boys a lot of tips, if every morning the loungers on demand deliver, i was annoyed read more

A hotel with many faces and surprises, dining perfect, rooms could be improved.
Never a room ground level book otherwise they are during the next downpour a flooding of the room.
Tv not really beneficial, frequently no electricity and no water.
Tip is a must, otherwise goes nothing at all more. Especially the getränkedienung, but it is in Cuba normal.
Perfect is the small beach restaurant, especially good and fresh fish.
They are friendly all.
Beach clean, sea clean and peaceful, many loungers with perfect service, help with 2-3 cuc weekly shortened the waiting time. Also beer works wonders.

The hotel is quite okay, whereas it has gotten a bit old. In the hotel you have to however some drawbacks, which in Cuba is normal. In some areas is in need of renovation available, especially in the pool area, where some of the Plastikgitter on the overflow missing (danger of injury!). The access to the individual houses is tiled, the uneven laid, so that trip hazard is. The staff are nice and willing to help. In the buffet restaurant are the tables certainly newly restocked, and one must sometimes a bit wait, until you were served respectively the food. ... But finally one is on vacation. Recommendable are the specialty restaurant, here particularly the Japanese. read more

Hotel consists of a number of bungalows situated on a campus. YOu can reach the beach via a bridge over a swamp. The beach is quiet, the sea cristal clear. Area is cleaned every day and every night the area is gased to kill Mosquitos.
Service : All in, but special restaurants need to be paid extra.
Majority of guests are Canadians, followed by English, French, German. Age 30+
Rooms have a convenient size, but infrastructure and furniture is aged.
Tennis courts available, but also aged. read more

A in the days surrounding hotel where ever smaller defects arise, whether lack of tiles in the pool, clogged drains in the bathroom, broken TV and so on
Staff put in so much effort in the care of the guests.
What when traveling in the region holguin definitely should be mentioned, who with Cuban passport travels must adjust oneself to the fact, that he made during the offered excursions (everything with the sea respectively with boats to do) will be excluded!
In summary one could say, that the visit in this hotel and the region was quite good, the hotel ... however no 4 stars plus rating, as I have more beautiful hotels in Cuba with 4 stars read more

The ' Playa Costa Verde' we have to relax after a 1-week tour ' across Cuba -from West to Ost' elected. After various vacations in Karibik this was our first visit in Cuba, with our expectations at the hotel Qualities meaningly held themselves within limits. Surprisingly, the rundreisehotels as acceptable presented and we looked forward to a really beautiful seaside holiday.
The first impression when entering the lobby reminded us other Versus, unfortunately was the room our friends not finished yet, they had still to after 15 o'clock wait. The whole area consists of 31 houses in the bungalow-style each ... with 16 rooms. 'OUR' house 27 lay proximity to the beach, the garden-environment made however a bit neglected impression. The area the houses 3. And 4. Was well kept.
Service
All employees were very friendly, especially 'oUR' service Dunja in the main restaurant and the always good cheerful cook Irma.
Only the service evenings at the lobby bar pushed to its limits, we felt so, as if the staff behind the desk only at its predetermined stages thought and long queues in the socialism just normal are.
Dining
The food variety in the main restaurant was extensive, there was no supply. One could under various fish- and meat and the freshly prepared. By the specialties -restaurants we only went to the steak house and the Creole visited. The steak was although it is very large, unfortunately but also a bit tough. It was certainly well intentioned and you should just nevertheless somewhat more by a 'Cuban' issues-)
In 'El Conuco' we liked it, the food was tasty and the portions more than enough
Evening entertainment
The evening entertainment program was.
LAAAUUUT!
Probably because of the volatile weather the evening program mostly in the lobby instead of. Unfortunately the number of opportunities to sit in borders, especially there were too few tables. The artwork everyone must judge for themselves, but the sound design we found in certain places already badly annoying, even in the farthest corner of the lobby was the often distorted/overloaded music from stentorian on radiator strengthen hard to escape.
A comfortable spot for an evening drink unfortunately we did not find. As a non-smoker one could sit in the freezing 'cigar lounge' 't really feel at home, in 'the beers corner' we arrived us the feeling of being in a kiosk with a table and Plastikstühlchen and the snack-bar 'Los Caneyes ' made with your weak lighting not very inviting impression on us.
Location/ beach:
Certainly possesses the pcvs the most beautiful beach section at the Playa Pesquero, there is enough shade under sun screens and trees. Sunbeds from helpful forces to the desired capacity transported-a obolus you will always gladly taken-)
Our proposal to improve: upholstering for the (on duration quite hard) and a few showers at the beach. The way through the biotope to next toilet/ shower at the Creole restaurant is quite far!
At the end the Bay is a new hotel complex under construction! Often was the sound of the sea with hour long rattle by pneumatic drills (sounded almost after dismantling of-) mixed. The guests from the hotel blue Costa Verde there will certainly be more affected.
Pool:
We didn't use the pool, we fly without reason so far, the sun, sand and sea to enjoy.
One was obviously the cleanliness of the pools hard, daily scrubbed and cleaned, several times had a entire group from staff this, on the edge standing, refereed. Strong rains may pool condition but quickly unbalance. A evenings we observed an almost continuous white layer on the water Surface-probably was any chemical spread has been. The next morning however was this layer disappeared, it swam now green seaweeds on the surface.
In short:
Altogether seen, we would the pcvs in the category 3. 5 to 4 stars in order. It was a beautiful complete our round trip ' Through Cuba -from West to East', however we have the impression won, that some of our existing versus in Karibik more quality ( at a comparable price) received. read more

The hotel is really recommendable. It meets the 4 stars wholeheartedly.
Variety and quantity the food I would stay with very good bewertuen, the table wine is also quite good.
And we thought that the white wine better than the red wine is, what however also Geschmacksabhängig is.
The few deductions for the hotel existence of it, that the chairs on the beach no cushions have, so you on the Plastikstuhl is, what after some time uncomfortable. Also the chairs on the beach like 'reserved'.
The Creole-restaurant ( Lobsteressen ) was not exactly a highlight ( exception: the dessert). The ... Japanese was not particularly, whereas one had to say, that the show cooking some has made up. read more

We flew on the 25/4/2012 with Thomas Cook it takes nine hours to Cuba but it is worth it when you get there this was our tenth visit, the welcome you get from the T.C. reps is just like meeting old friends and our number one Nancy,this was our fifth visit to the P.C.V. we had champagne as we book in, then we where taken to our room by golf buggy the rooms are nice and big and are kept good and clean all our stay,There is a good selection in the buttet restaurant there ... is four cooking stations and there is the al a cart restaurants we recommend the Cuban, there is a good beach i would recommend some beach shoes there are a few rocks to get past as you walk in to the sea,the hotel has a large pool with lots of sun loungers, and there is a snack bar near the pool with a good menu, But most of all we would like to say a big thank you to all the staff or should i say our friends for making our holiday so wonderful as ever at this great hotel the P.C.V. read more

Very nice generous complex, the houses are all in good condition.
The beach is very beautiful and via a small jetty easy to reach. There were enough chairs on the beach available and many shady places to get. You have to not always in the first row beach chairs.
The staff were always very friendly and tried, even if it not always tip gave.
The food was very diverse and tasty. There were 4 restaurants where restricted
And a very good buffet restaurant, what we always used. The water is not recommendable, as it always after chlorine tasted. But we ... had every day a half liter bottle of water in the room, that was sufficient for us. At the bars you can delicious drinks get, the best were at the beach bar. read more

I had on the whole vacation nothing to complain about. The staff were super friendly and unlocked. Repairs were taken care of immediately. On the one hand it was quiet, on the other hand there was enough animation. The food was a benefit, except for the bread (rather Italian). Several a-la-minute chefs for fresh dishes.

very large, good laid out complex in a garden.
too many canadian guests, one recognizes you easily to the thermal you drink containers at the beach and pool constant refill.
the age of the guests ranged from 0-100 I would think.
some contain are a bit pushed open.
at the beach there are no showers or toilets.
You need to cross the lagoon, just behind the bridge showers and toilets are with the 2 ladies toilet' s overloaded and usually quite dirty. Toilet paper rarity, the doors left earlier time to close. Now you can take part in the life ... of the neighbor garage.
for us the biggest minus the area: probably by the lagoon we were greeted by mosquitoes and other Insects such battered, that we never again vacation would make. Beach fleas seem active to be. We were five people, it looked like streuselkuchen 4, a woman had it not so remarkable. Autan not these bites protected, therefore the presumption, there are not only mosquito!
and hundreds of bites (no mosquitos), one of our friends in the bed in/Out privileges.
the problem does not seem to be unaware of. The pest controller came in the morning and has everything? Sprayed and then 48 hours peace. Afterwards 'they' were there again. With geschärftem view, we have this chamber hunter operations there more often observed.
