A good-sized bedroom, light and airy with an enchanting view of the small square across the way to the railway station and - further away - the valley with snowcapped mountains on either side. Facilities in the room included a handy safe and sufficient wardrobe space. A television (with built-in radio) offered a wide choice of stations/programmes from many countries around the world. If I could be permitted to suggest one minor improvement it would be that a small kettle be included in the specification of every room to allow for a cup of tea or coffee to be made ... in the early morning or late at night. read more

    In a word... 'perfect'. All was spotlessly clean and just felt so 'new'. Everything worked. No complaints. As simple as that.

    During our stay we dined in both the hotel's 'bistro bar' and 'a-la-carte' restaurant: the menu and quality of food was superb and creatively presented and, as a bonus, the waiters were sufficiently informed to help in our choice of meals. It was uplifting to meet the chef to praise him personally for the wonderful creations coming from his kitchen!

    From the manager/chef through to the team of waiters, all were extremely helpful, polite and knowledgable for both the hotel menu/services and local information, and were able to express themselves in perfect English... to my embarrassment with my second-rate schoolboy-level German language proficiency. Overall, service was faultless and sufficiently informal to make for a comfortable atmosphere.

The hotel has a family character. Accommodation and service are very good. The food and presentation are very plush and provide a cosy atmosphere. We had a package (accommodation with ski pass and half board) basis, which is worth of its price. The hotel is fully recommendable and we are definitely coming again. read more

Very nice and great equipped small boutique hotel in the direct vicinity of the meiringer train station. Room bright and clean and small fruit dish in the room. Beautiful lounge with tea /water and fresh fruit. Very good and big breakfast. Unfortunately no free wi-fi in the hotel/room. read more

It is a very nice modern hotel with a high level of hospitality. The restaurant service and quality are super. The food is delicious. Located in the center of Meiringen. Very easy to get to the ski resort, Sherlock Holmes Museum, Rheihenbach Fall. We will definitely stay there again! read more

The owner of the hotel, mr A., was extremely friendly and kind. At the very at short notice posting date telephone he was very accommodating. Pleasantly also its kind for his guests to care including energetic support for the recreation. The service was very attentive. Breakfast was great and the kitchen for special wishes in any case accessible. We stayed therefore clearly longer than originally planned and will gladly come again. read more

'also here we have cleaned for you!' Sweet this text on the practitioners under the beds, in which we slept soundly. To that fresh fruit, flat-screen tv, flowers, mountain views, everything very nice. Otherwise difference our superior room for chf 250 not the usual hotel room. The local railway nearby we heard hardly. The breakfast was varied and good. Special requests such as eggs were fulfilled. The parking behind the house are especially friday and saturday nights about. The dinner is somewhat high cheered. We had scallops next to a lot of salad and bacon. Gault millau-worthy was the sea ... bass with polenta. read more

Rather by chance, we on the Hotel Victoria in Meiringen encountered. From the outside rather bland, we were quickly a better informeth! The hotel is tastefully and charmingly decorated with a touch 'alpine chic'. We immediately felt really good. Our seven-year was very pleased and will be charged at the lovingly prepositioned play pleased. Our host ( family Anderegg ) were extremely attentive and helpful. Our triple room was rather small, but absolutely appropriate and nicely furnished. Meticulously clean, even under the bed;-). About the Kärtli bottom bed we had to, while searching for our socks, hearty laugh. The ... food was another, unexpected highlight. Simon Anderegg each of its 14 Gault Millau points more than earned. The breakfast the next morning was very diverse and it was really have thought of everything. Compliment! We felt very much at ease and thanks again for the hospitality. We can Victoria Meiringen really everyone really warmly recommend. PS: our jackets (which we in the closet had forgotten) were in record time forwarded. What a service! read more

We stayed as a small family group from England and had a great few days rediscovering the delights of Meiringen. The Victoria hotel played a major part in our enjoyment of the holiday. We chose it because it appeared to be modern, simply designed, well located with a good reputation for its culinary arts! We were not mistaken. We felt Simon and his wife ran an impeccable establishment alongside delightful and professional staff at a fair tariff. Its central location was great for our needs and the dining and bar areas, both inside and out allowed us to reflect upon ... the days activities whilst watching the world go by in a thoroughly relaxed manner. We spend only one night in Hotel Victoria and were completely contented. The hotel, as well as the rooms were very clean. The rooms however a bit small, which did not disturb us however. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet with huge choice. read more

We had a very warm welcome, a beautiful, spotless room, and wonderful food, served by charming friendly staff. We can hardly wait to return! Thanks to all staff, and Herr und Frau Anderegg. We had the summer package, dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner in the evening was a four course meal, with at least three choices of main course, and excellent cuisine. The breakfast buffet was so good, and so tempting,that we just took some fruit (always fresh in the residents' lounge) for lunch. We went for a walking holiday, and the weather was very kind, with only one ... wet day. The flowers were beautiful high up on the alps at this time of year. Meiringen is a wonderful base from which to explore the Oberland, because of its excellent transport links, and the Hotel Victoria is very conveniently placed to access this transport. read more

    the bathroom was great and the room was a nice size...very clean and cool, comfortable bedding...great water pressure and lots of hot water...very upscale soaps, shampoo and creams

    great menu with first quality food, presentation...alot of caring in evidence breakfast buffet was huge with nothing missing...museli was great as was the coffee

    for a small boutique hotel, the common facilities were pleasant and comfortable...particularly the outdoor seating looking at the reichenbach falls and the rosenhorn

    Very spacious and tasteful with lots of closet space and big bathroom with bath tub. The sleep experience was just perfect, comfortable mattresses and soft duvets and pillows allowed us to recharge our batteries after a long and busy day.

    Variety of breakfast buffet items is wide and satisfies everyone's expectations. If you would prefer something else, waitress will offer you scrambled, boiled or fried eggs with bacon or ham. Regular menu includes some delightful dishes accompanied with carefully selected wine choices; everything under close and careful Simon's supervision.

    Service and cleanliness of the hotel is superb. Everyone is friendly end greet the guests with the smile and warmth. Every staff member speaks English and Deutsch so there is no language barrier.

    The location of the hotel offers many different options for skiing, hiking and traveling. Good connection to other places by car or train (hotel located just next to train station) or nearby Hasliberg ski/hike center by gondola allows lots of flexibility in planning your activities.
