Thoroughly enjoyable stay. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our wedding was co-ordinated perfectly from the moment we arrived. The food was always lovely, especially the Sri Lankan cuisine. Only slight negative was the Spa, they seemed disinterested and unhelpful both times we attempted to book a massage. This doesn't really detract from a wonderful Hotel, Country and Holiday. read more

    Who something to moan about has it is your own fault. (there were of course) There is always something new that you can try. Whether fleisch'fresser' or vegetarian. The foodies come fully at their expense. The chairs would have been, at long last, a new reference need-many stofen in the country should not be difficult.

    The waiters were always friendly, also without light. The is there then, if you have the consistent friendliness to see. The room was always very thoroughly cleaned. Nice bed decorations! With english one gets ahead. The doctor we needed came quickly and was efficient.

    Who thinks on vacation sleep and then still (or 2) beach chair (s) to get here is somehow wrong. After we explained to the first 3 days it proceed cautiously and then left stupid launched, we made it as the other. I went to 6:00 a. m. at the beach walk around in the port the loungers to occupied. But i was never the first! Very bad the pensioner, from her arduous lives as pensioners need of recovery. If you just paarurlaubstage every year has must also there over its pure fight!

    A hotel for people who wants to have it pretty silent. The sea very rough-not a pure beach holiday possible. Partly very dangerous because of the really strong undercurrent. The hotel outside, only with tuk tuk or taxi to leave. With prices always negotiate!

First visit to Sri Lanka very enjoyable the staff at the hotel could not have been more accomodating the went out of there way to be helpful in all areas of the hotel. The hotel is quite away from any other ammenities so you are a captive audiance. The food was excellent so much choice the head chef was out talking to guest evey night so if you had any complaints he was there to listen. The best rooms are the sea view villas with stunning views of the beach and the sea. The hotel is to close some parts ... from May to October to be refurbished it does need it some areas looks a bit sad but once this is done it will be even better. The one complaint I have is that the entertainment at night in the bar is very poor because there is no where else to go you are kind of stuck with it, you can sit outside but its not always possible to get a seat. read more

The second time in Dolphin area was very nice for my 4 friends and me and my woman Maybe we come again! The sea was a little bit high, but I love this waves. The big pool is a sensation near the bar. Please go their!!!! read more

The offer the food as well as their taste was perfect, there was for any taste Somewhat, from the international to the pure sinhalese kitchen everything was there. The only fault is the sea, for inexperienced swimmer and children less recommendable, as it is quite high waves there was (up to 1,5 meters) and a strong undercurrent. Red warnflagge at the beach is permanent. read more

    The buffet at lunch and in the evening was very varied and it was really there is something for everybody. We loved it, that daily a wide choice at native ones meals. The cocktails were for all inclusive absolutely okay!

    The staff was always very friendly and willing to help. In case of any problems one helped to us always immediately. Sometimes the restaurant little understaffed, so that one longer for its beverages to wait had-but since one on vacation is, you as you know, time!

    The hotel is somewhat off the beaten track. If you want to relax and in the evening no 'Halli Galli' custom, it is perfect. Very early in the morning or at night one needed about 30 minutes to the airport. On the day, a bit longer.

We are in the late afternoon and were right warmly welcomed. The check-in went smoothly. One could equal first talks with the staff when needed, since the german language to approaches was available. The hotel complex is large and well located. The rooms are divided into standard rooms (with a pool- or garden view) and bungalows, the at the beach are. The hotel is somewhat older, but everything is very clean, there is a daily everything cleaned, the garden is made, leaves swept etc. The rooms, the restaurants, the pool etc. Were all clean. We have universe inclusive in use. ... Wifi is in the hotel free and the reception is also good. While we were there, there were very many germans there. Also british, austrians and swiss were represented. To the end, the russian surplus, which is not so was pleasant, since these are very noisy. The average age was 40 years. Young and old were represented, In the large and whole was the hotel very nice. read more

    The rooms had a nice size, however all slightly outdated. This is the next months as amended, it is possible that is undergoing renovations. There is a large closet, a dresser, a large tv, table, chairs, desk, water digester, safe (free of charge), hair dryer, air conditioning, fridge etc.. So everything you to be comfortable and living needs. The bathroom was also large and well equipped. What has disturbed us was, the shower head was already slightly calcified and not so strong water came out. Also smelled the abfüsse in the shower or in between. Otherwise was the room very nice.

    In the hotel there was a buffet restaurant and a snack bar by the pool. The à la carte restaurant are liable to pay the costs. In the buffet restaurant one could in the morning, lunch and dinner. There was a variety of food and they were always tasty. Particularly the dessertraum was perfect. Very wide choice and everything super fresh. To the snack-bars knows one from a menu card choose. Either a burger with fries, a sandwich or salad. Everything very delicious. Drinks were available at various bars. Wether by the pool, in stay hall or in the disco, everywhere there were a wide range of lots of tasty drinks. Everything was always clean. Also the atmosphere was always pleasant. There is nothing to complain about.

    The service one cannot say anything negative. The people there are very pleasant and always anxious to please. It was brought us drinks, tables were selected and bekamman always a nice smile. Many employees could fractions the german language. Some more the other less. English could however as good as any. The cleaning of the rooms was super! There were new towels every day (also enough), sometimes were the beds beautifully decked out and you were always friendly welcome. About a tip the valet boys very. With complaints was immediately done. For example our safe not, since the batteries were empty, but they were immediately replaced. Moreover, we have additional ceilings, since we only a little was cool at night. The service was super:-)

    To sport i can only the court evaluate. The was very alright. Rackets and balls were good. You could also badminton or squash. Entertainment was by the pool available. All animateure were great dear, have to participate to (however not forced) and have a quantity fun joined in. Also the evening entertainment was always good. Every evening was another show. Either the entertainers what lessons or foreign. The disco was clean and nice, but at our time not busy. For the children there were many entertainment possibilities. The pool was always clean and this at a incredible size. The pool-boys have a on request beach chairs or umbrellas in/out privileges. For the well-being was definitely catered for. The pool chairs were pleasant, there were showers by the pool and everything was clean. Again nothing to complain about.

    The hotel is directly at the beach. The sand is slightly reddish and somewhat sharp, since many shells with inbetween. Swim in the sea not really feasible, as most of the time waves are. The flag is however apparently always red, as it at the beach no lifeguard there (it was so reported). The water temperature was to our time certainly at about 26 degrees. To the airport you had to about 45 minutes drive, depending on traffic. The next larger place is negombo the about minutes away is. Generally the hotel rather shaded from the outside world. Opposite the entrance is a river. The streets to the hotel are not the best. In the hotel itself, are a few shops and a disco. We have two routes joined in: 1. a tour to kandy. With intermediate stops at the elephant orphanage, elephant riding, herb garden, botanical garden, tooth temple and tea factory. Everything was very interesting, but perhaps too much for a day. We booked the tours of the tour guide (TUI) booked, 2. a tour to negombo, with a visit to the fish market, with a train ride and a boat safari. We had our tour much more presented and were very dissatisfied. But then we had to complain a part of the money from the tour operator refunded. There were, of course, other nice tours were offered, but the accompanying travel time by for us too long.

A typical family hotel with an "All inclusive" concept. We used the hotel as intermediate hotel starting our round trip through Sri Lanka. Due to the "All in" concept it would not be our choice for a long stay, but All-in lovers will appreciate the hotel I think. On the other hand we were not able to order cocktails (fresh juice) at the pool side as they were only free available for All-in guests, although we would accept any reasonable price. Only bottled drinks were available for us. read more

Room service needs to be improved and we experienced that some of the Linen provided are damaged. Condition of the room is very poor and also it was not cleaned properly. Attending for issues are ok. read more

    2 restaurants, 4 bars Choice and Quality of food is very great and there are much different drinks, of course wine is very expensive. Everything is very clean. There are a big choice of national and international dishes, also fish. The atmosphere in the main reataurant is free and easy, at ala carte Rest. higher class.

    The friendliness of all members of stuff does exeed all expectations. Everybody speaks English very good and several also a little German. Room cleaning was excekkent absolutely. Everybody is extreme helpful. Should there be a complaint it was repaired immidiately.

    There are many animations dayly around the pool bar, but nobody will be pressed to go in. Only the music mostly is extreme loud and does disturb therefore sometimes. Pool an relaxing area are very clean, but there are a lot of dogs coming in from outsides, mostly through feeding by unreasonable guests. This is very unpleasent. Pool water quality is good, swimming in the sea because of the high waves not possible. When hotel is booked full beds and umbrellas are too few.

    Direct situated on the beach, next city is Negombo (20 km), Airport 17 km Many excursions are possible from halfday-trip to longer roundtravels. We made in the 8 Years many excursions only by Harald and we always were satisfied.

Had a bungalow. This was very clean and decorated up to date. As our bungalow to the date of arrival, however, was still occupied, we had to pay for one night in a superior room. This was very worn out and not recommendable. Were great happy the next day to move to may. The hotel is beautiful and spacious. All the restaurants and lounges are in very good condition and very clean. The hotel has two different pools. The larger of the whole day entertainment and music and to the other the quiescent pool, we preferred anyway. This was our ... opinion more beautiful location. A password for the free internet access was at the front desk available. The majority of of the guests came from Germany or Austria. The remainder consisted of englishmen, frenchmen and russians. read more

    We had a bungalow (number 89 ; very centrally located) in 2. number. This was very an advantage, because not everyone on our terrace passed them, as it in the bungalows in the first row the case was, since the main path walk along. The bungalow was 2010 renovated and is that's why very decorated up to date. Bathrooms with glass cabin shower and rain shower. Tv available (only dw), as well as a dvd player. Air conditioning and ceiling ventilator worked very well.

    In the hotel there were a total of 3 restaurants, as well as the three times weekly offered 'fishmarket'. The sands was the main restaurant. Here breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet form offered. Unlike many other hotels the dolphin primarily dishes typical of the country (curry, etc.) Offered, which we very much appreciated, as we on vacation gladly local food try. The choice was very large ; the food extremely good. Especially worth mentioning is the dessertraum. Here there was the lunch and dinner always fresh fruits, as well as a wide choice various desserts. The dishes in the two à la carte restaurants had to be payed for. Through our ' entschädigungsessen' waves we can say, that the food very good and absolutely recommendable is. The pizzeria we didn't visit. Lunch was at one of the two poolside bars possible. Here there were snacks such as burgers and sandwiches. Especially recommendable is the fishmarket. Here can fresh fish and seafood (prawns, crayfish and squid) even be selected, the then on the grill. Overall very convenient. The restaurants are all very clean. In addition to the two aforementioned pool bars (during the day) there was a small bar at the theater (evening program), and the bar (live music) nearby of the lobby. Here you got free drinks like beer, soft drinks, cocktails and juices. Wine is not included.

    The staff in all areas was of the hotel very friendly and courteous. Communication with all employee in english without any problems possible. Some could also speak german. The cleaning of the rooms was always immaculate. Towels for the pool use were from the hotel provided. As our bungalow only one day later and therefore one night in a superior room to sleep in, we were given as' compensation ' a gratisessen in the à la carte restaurant, waves.

    In the hotel there are two pools. A large swimming pool, where during the day the entertainment and a quiescent pool, we preferred. During our stay, there were always enough sunbeds at the quiet pool available. At the pool bars is it always possible drinks such as soft drinks, tea and coffee, and other drinks. The beach is very beautiful. Unfortunately it is not always safe into the sea to go, since the current partly very strong. The best way to get in the breakwater (left-and rechtsgelegen ) into the water. You should still always be very careful.

    The arrival from the airport to the hotel took about 40 minutes. Since we had a bungalow in 2. number had, was the entfernunug to the beach about 20 metres. If you the hotel complex over the beach leaves, can be found on both sides, small shops, in which one beverages, cigarettes and souvenirs could be bought. The shop at the exit pool well-kept and convenient. Otherwise in the immediate area of the hotel only a restaurant, that we however not visited, as well as two small ' shops' and providers.

It was all in all a successful vacation, the staff worked very hard, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food was good, but the coverings of the armchair require really urgently a cleaning. Wine is unfortunately not all inclusive and also overpriced. The pool is very nice and there were also always enough loungers available. Not reasonable we find, as with the dogs bypasses. Friendly and peaceful sleeping animals are indicated holzprügel displaced, some gardener attempted even the dogs with a cord to catch, the a dog the neck away. Excursions we have Harald tours undertaken, with ... the we very satisfied were. Caution the baden in the sea offered, a tourist is on a stingray entered -bathing shoe recommendable! read more

A very nice hotel with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. We felt like we were in paradise, wishes from the eyes. Even individual wishes by of the kitchen were fulfilled. Many thanks to the chef zoyza. Whoever complained here finds just reasons. We have already been here for the 2. time and come definitely again. The hotel is this year newly renovated it will be beautiful. The entertainment team is great, tried very hard the vacationers to converse. read more

Very beautiful hotel for relaxation after a round trip, pleasant and constantly helpful staff. What disturbed us, were the stühlbezüge in the restaurant - the need urgently a renovation or Cleaning. We had booked all inclusive, but the extra charges like for instance wine, are very high and for us, even if it import is, incomprehensible. This club -facilitities are besides a paradise for smokers, it is everywhere smoke-free. Since we non-smokers belong, for us it was a bit of getting used to-we german are already spoiled. Tip: if you go on excursions want-ask to Harald - we can really ... recommend. read more
