The hotel is completely enough for a new York stay. The check in was ok, the employees very pleasant, we had to however at 15:30 o'clock good 45 minutes to wait, until our room was ready. It is advisable, a room to the backyard to take, the to the street are quite loud, because the hotel in the access area to Holland tunnel is here always a massive traffic prevails. Unfortunately we had also the luck, that just before our room the ice machine was, but thank god from 21 to 6 o'clock be cut off. The room was ... not big, except for the bed there was a armchair and a chair as seating possibility. The closet has plenty of storage space, free safe in the closet. Air conditioning was good to adjust. As always in USA the king bed only one big blanket. Breakfast was for american standards quite good with bagels station and waffle station, 3 different kinds of 'coffee' ( defined yes as everyone else.-) ), however all with disposable crockery, speaks paper plates, paper cups and plastic cutlery. Which us unfortunately also noticed, that the roof in the conservatory not close, when a rainstorm it rained purely. Late check in until 12 o'clock, but you could store your luggage safely. read more

Price/performance ratio completely OK!

For a hotel in New York the Hampton Inn has a sufficient price/performance ratio, the award of the 'sunset', of course, the current situation in New York and is not comparable to that of a hotel in Egypt or Turkey.-)The room including the bathroom a good size for NY. Breakfast was in our opinion for NY (usually the hotels are without breakfast) very good. The room was cleaned partly a bit superficial. About 3-4 minutes away from the subway/train station Canal Street from which you both toward the south ferry, so financial district and Times square North or Central ... park. In about ten minutes walk one was in Chinatown. For a city trip to New York the Hampton inn is absolutely OK! You should not miss a U-in itinerary! read more

The hotel has by price / performance absolutely satisfied! A very well located hotel, with great rooms, you will find for the price in Manhattan difficult. When we arrived our room was not ready, but put the bags in the hotel and checked in. From the roof terrace has a good view to New Jersey, and also to Manhattan. Very nice place to start the day, if you get up early because of the jet lag is, or enjoy the lights in the evening. I would reccomend this hotel any time and again. read more

The room had a moderate size, but as we heard, on New York pretty standard. same time so both bags on the floor open and free and easy going to move, was a bit difficult. First off, the bed was spectacular! Never before have I slept so well!! We had a king bed and I would love to me the mattress immediately order for my home (which in principle possible, but to Germany is apparently very expensive; -) ) The room was simple modern decor. The air conditioning is next to the bed though, which can be very uncomfortable in the long run, but it can individually rules and serve. There is a desk and closets, on the wall a LCD TV. mini-bar, but unfortunately, there were no ice machine on every floor where you could get ice cubes. The bathroom was also very nice and modern. Dark and no unnecessary frills. A walk in shower, sink, quite large and toiletries. Overall, the room was really great.

We had breakfast included, which was nice, the breakfast "room" offers 2 dressers with various drinks (coffee, milk, tea, orange juice) and cereal, as well as different items, depending on the day the type. They had toast, bagels, donuts, muffins, waffles to choice and a hot item, as for example breakfast pizza, scrambled eggs, sausage, ... We like bagels & cream cheese and so it was for us, it was more than enough, although the coffee was not that good, but we should not really expect in the US; otherwise it's maybe a small complaint would be that you paper or that styrofoam cups and plates and plastic silverware used.

The rooms were cleaned every day and were therefore very clean and tidy. The staff was ok so far, I guess it depends on who you at the front desk got, but the staff was helpful and friendly. No German spoken, but we did not expect that.

The hotel is located in the Watts street, Soho, so it was very centrally located in Manhattan. They have a choice of 3 subway stops in the immediate area, with which one could quickly the desired destination town. Some could put out that in the street of the hotel is the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, but we personally in the room did not really quite unnoticeable. Directly at the hotel there were no shopping possibilities, but few minutes walk in different directions, restaurants, fast food restaurants and small shops. The location of this hotel is in walking distance to many activities and can thus also many different faces from New York to meet. You will pass to a different Classy)boutiques, but also on smaller shops, €14.00 down the small shops of Chinese illegal (which often sell things under the counter, as we were told)
