Pan american hotel lies in the district of Queens at a large exit road queen boulevard. The next subway station (elmhurst ave) is approximately 8 minutes walk away. From there you can get a good connection to Manhattan (about 20 minutes drive) and to JFK Airport (about 40 minutes). At the subway station there are also various shops and restaurants (almost only chinese however). For new york dimensions it is quite a good alternative to the very expensive hotels in downtown. From the outside the hotel is not particularly beautiful, a 6-storied gray building made from prefabricated slabs, also the ... area is not really so attractive with some autohändlern, workshops and small shops, but everything. The rooms to the rear are surprisingly quiet and large. The furnishing is standard with a tv, but everything clean and reasonable. Not super new, but maintained and the mattresses pleasantly hard. Same goes for the bathroom. The staff are reasonable, although not exaggerated friendly. So if you a tidy room and clean bathroom finds, one is here absolutely correctly. Real comfort and cosiness you get however definitely not. With a bit over 50 Euro per night was the price for new york standards extremely good and the service really. Recommendable! read more

The hotel was dirty and worn. Bathroom and bed in a condition, that you not even a short night to spend there would like. Even with vicinity of the airport and relatively cheap price the hotel is not anbietbar. read more

An ageing hotel but the room service is OK, every day is the room were cleaned. About 10 minutes footpath to the next underground station. On each floor are off and free parking in the courtyard are also abundant. Since we every day late in the evening on the way were, we didn't need the room only for sleeping, therefore completely sufficient. read more

Thus I found it in general very good. From 1-10 (10 the best) I would the hotel a 9 to give. The area is OK. There are around 5 minutes away on foot to the subway. On the way you will pass a Chinese baker past, the delicious and cheap. To Manhattan it are with the train circa 15 to 20 minutes read more

we had the hotel for our last night elected. The room we had 1 day before booked over the Internet. Convinced we enjoyed the hotel shuttle to the airport( subject to a charge) and the nearby Metro station, as we on the final day the rental car in Manhattan and with Metro back to the hotel. The room was OK, for the price we didn't luxury expected but it was quite large and relatively clean. In direct nearby was a Mc Donalds and a Chinese restaurant inclusive Supermarkz. A bit further away about 20 minutes footpath was a big Macy's ... and other shops. For the last night we can recommend this hotel in any case. read more

I chose the hotel for a short stay in new York because of the relatively low price.HCLFHLNearby the hotel is located on the way to the subway station a larger cheaper kiosk with nice staff.HCLFHLThe subway station is relatively close to the hotel.HCLFHLThe staff speaks no German but during my stay in seven different places to stay in the United States, no problem.HCLFHLThe bathroom was relatively small but perfectly adequate.HCLFHLFacing the street there is an oversized windows with great views.HCLFHLFor another stay I would recommend this hotel, taking into account the price again.HCLFHL read more

A big disappointment. Suffer is the way to Manhattan very far. Breaks under tags not possible, since the drive too long is. Seventies style would be OK, but not without renovation. Unfortunately completely used read more

We were for the second time in this hotel. have only one room (with two beds) at the front of the hotel. If we had a room with only one bed had been taken, we had exchanged, at the back. The hotel has more rooms with king beds. well, was pretty noisy at the front of the hotel was renovated. the room (that is good enough), the old carpet had not renewed and the furniture. the rooms are of the furniture different. but the mattresses were new. all in all it was okay. wireless Internet in the lobby for free. ... from the price, the hotel is convenient and much cheaper than comparable hotels in Manhattan. therefor 30 minutes drive. but for example, if you live in uptown and downtown would like must also metro the metro card for a week and you must have in any case. at the next new York visit the hotel again we would. read more

In this hotel there are different categories of rooms. Everything is a bit getting old, but clean. Rooms facing the street are very noisy. The location of the hotel is good. After ten minutes you can reach the metro go hero (R and M), from there to Roosevelt and then change, for example, the E-train runs to ground zero (there is a century 21). A few meters from the hotel, take the bus to the nearby shopping malls Q60 (Macy's, Marshall, Century 21 and Queen center with its numerous shops). Diagonally across the street is a McDonalds and turn right ... out of the hotel after about 5 minutes footpath a Chinese bakery with very cheap and delicious things (sunrise bakery & CAFE). read more

The hotel is for new York/standards reasonably priced and clean. The rooms are big enough and have a tv.
The hotel is located on a busy street and the rooms to the front are very loud-even at night.
Restaurant we didn't visited.
Positive was the free Internet in the lobby area! read more

The hotel is used and in need of a renovation, but at the moment you will be fine. For the price (we have about 650 € for a double room for 8 nights) you can say nothing. The rooms and bathrooms are fine. If you don't expect large luxury you will be satisfied. read more

Easy access to manhatten, very shabby Hotel. Good service from the airport with shuttle to the umd, Wi-Fi Internet access at the lobby, bathroom very small, on-site restaurant a bit pricey, but to McDonalds for breakfast. At the weekends by events in the restaurant very noisy at night. For the price (520 €for 1 week for the room) in general acceptable price/performance ratio. read more

The hotel is quite shabby and there could be renewed. But the price was okay and the hotels in Manhattan are much more expensive. At the back it is also rather calmly. We e-mailed the hotel in advance and get a room at the rear of the hotel. Sheets from at home carry forward, then it is. Transfer to the hotel did not work so well and we had to wait an hour until the bus arrived. Back to the airport but everything was okay. To Manhattan half hour is okay. In the center there are some shops, for example ..., Macys where you can shop well. Furthermore, a red lobster! China bakery at the hotel. Century 21 opened a store in the year 2010 nearby Queen center. read more

We cannot confirm the positive entries. The hotel has a good price/performance ratio, the service is very accommodating and easy access to the subway, it is easy to get to all places in new York.
Up to now, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was written, I would like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. We had breakfast during our stay there, we enjoyed it very much and also the American coffee was not bad.
We felt the area around the hotel very safe, the return to late hour was easy and safe.
The circulation of ten Lane street ... directly in front of the hotel in the room was barely visible, even though we had a room facing the street, the insulation of the windows was good. The decor of the rooms was good, two queen size beds also the night of may even three or four people.
We would definitely come here again at any time and any future guests be beautiful and exciting days in 'Big Apple'. read more

In fact there is nothing the previous reviews more to add.
We believe that with a stay at this hotel, transport and shopping technically better cared for, for example, there is often a hotel in hasbrouck Height. This hotel is good. The price may be higher than initially outside new York, but the travel from outside are not without and sumieren itself! In particular, if the cost of the airport shuttle (to/from) worthwhile!
At our peril our first room was on the six-Lane arterial road with lots of traffic. We could fix this issue but a change immediately after the ... first impression. The front desk was not very pleased about that, but it did the job, we were given a room rückwärtiges.
Very easy to use the shuttle bus service to JFK LGA or Only the second trip to the airport costs six dollar/person! And it is much cheaper than the public transport or taxis. Pick-up is free, you just have to call the hotline, has really worked great.
The hotel restaurant we had a good impression, although we did not eat there. The rooms themselves are installed by default and not noisy.
Right in the neighborhood does not exist only sufficient opportunities for shopping (1.2 kilometer away is the mall), but also sufficient different restaurants and fast-food chains. read more
