The hotel fulfilles all wishes, we had a room with direct pool access - just amazing. The front desk is very professional and totally helpful. The hotel is in a very nice location, quiet and attractive.
Unfortunately is the rich buffet food in the Selbstbedienungsvitrinen mostly cold, which in a five-star hotel in my opinion, is not to be!
Especially the friendliness of the staff is worth mentioning. read more

Hotel with not to mutch of rooms, by the beach, with nice pool and gardens,
seats and umbrellas on the garden by the pool and on the beach.
All day long you can see the cleaning team working all over the hotel, the rooms were cleaning more times a day, towels in bathroom were changed more times a day, the garden and the pools were cleaned almost everyday
The staff is always ready to help you for all things, any time of the day
nice restaurants with variable food on buffets, good breakfast and dinner, nice presented and friendly waiters ... an waitresses
The poolbar and the mainbar are in one word fantastic with friendly barkeepers

Dreamlike complex located directly at the beach, extremely quiet, as very little to not any animation, around the complex quiet. Room in extremely good condition and decay furnished, towels were changed 2 times a day, food is varied, unfortunately however not very warm, restaurant atmosphere excellent, great air-conditioned, very bright and friendly. Staff spoke unfortunately only English, audience mixed, Russians, northern, Italians, little German-speaking guests. When booking would be all inclusive highly recommendable, as the drink prices are very high. Apart from that gladly again. read more

Madly relaxing vacation in cavo spada spent. About the friendliness to cleanliness of the hotel one can only say, great!
For families however less suitable, since no animation or other offers are available.

For peace and relaxation seeking a great hotel. No annoying animation, no loud music, no noisy guests. In the three years, in which we in this hotel vacation made us fell the quiet room, in which you could barely hear the neighbors. The hotel with its about 150 rooms on the smaller, more manageable. Since then, the hotel for me 'the short distances'. Architecture and decor are rather factual, modern but with a pleasant atmosphere. The soft lawn by the pool leaves me forget that it shoes. Not typical Hotel in mostly two-story construction. Modern, quiet hotel in a V-shaped arrangement to the ocean, with lounge character. Hotel about two kilometer from kolymbari location. Good bus connections in the 30-minuten. No nightlife-just outside and to reach by bus. All inclusive was only until 23:00 H, espresso and cappuccino cost extra! Wide choice of food and good quality. Locals main courses will be a bit too short. Rooms are modern and generous-daily cleaned. Towel change daily. Pool towels available against a deposit. Everything was very clean. The hotel is less suitable for children. No Entertainment. Good Very ... Relaxing. read more

The staff is very friendly and service minded and there is a professional management. The hotel is very nice with a pleasant interior and architecture. The restaurants offer such a variety of good food every day that you do not need to go elsewhere. Cavo Spada has a great High Class SPA where you can get all kinds of SPA treatment. They also have a sauna and a nice steam–bath.
If you prefer a quite, warm and friendly, small 5-star resort you will definitely not be disappointed to choose Cavo Spada. Our visit has been very relaxing and enjoyable. You ... will find a very calm and quite natural surroundings and a nice natural beach. No disco or other distraction except for a weekly nice music entertainment evening under the stars.
The Cavo Spada is very good for bringing children and if you are disabled there is no problem at all with internal communication. I have been at Cavo Spada three times during 2010 and 2011. I regard the hotel as my “own” summer cottage. I cannot find one single detail to complain about. Go there yourself and challenge my resume; you will not regret this choice.
I will give Cavo Spada a rating of 5-star Plus. I will surely visit Cavo Spada again next year. read more

The hotel we loved it. Pure luxury. we had a room with a private pool. The size of the room and the bathroom was great. The hotel was very generously designed. The atmosphere in the hotel very pleasant.
Great is the almost all of the rooms have access to the pool. In the immediate vicinity there is not much to see. So pure relaxation.
The beach is a Pebble beach. Not so nice.
At dinner we noticed that one or the other people in your shorts showed up, a bit disturbing since ambience. read more

Even if the hotel were selected and moved there, we were finally very happy. It is absolutely quiet and off the beaten path and is therefore to relax, for a pure beach holiday very suitable. In an international hotel should fries and pasta always there for everyone, but also a variety of typical local dishes were always in the buffet to find. Good we found the desserts buffet. The grounds are very well, only the beach with gravel is negative to say. ... Although the hotel has no games for children( playground or babyplantschbecken) has, were surprisingly many small children, my kids (12 + 9) and I didn't bother us. The room was very nice, the bathroom was really big and well equipped, only the chair in the room was actually added only a sofa and sleep rather unsuitable. POSITIVE:
The hotel itself is awesome! Really great and everything still very new. If you just want to relax and unwind, ideal.
Very well-kept area.
- the wellness area was great, but always empty. Clearly, if the summer vacation already back in.
-The food in the main restaurant were very delicious. Daily varied and it wasn't't too large selection.
- the rooms were very beautiful and big (we had a room with view of the sea and private pool).
We had booked all-inclusive, which was the right choice.
The hotel has 150 rooms and therefore you get the feeling a ... bit 'to be'.
NEGATIVE:
Overall, the service was absolutely not the five stars Hotel justice.
The pool bar was only one person, the all the guests had to provide, because there was only open during the day.
-Too few beach chairs by the pool available, even though so much space to the existing surface would be. (partly also broken chairs)
The lobby bar (only open in the evening) was occupied by two people, the hinstürmten absolutely were overwhelmed, because here then all hotel guests.
-Too few seats outside, so you had to get if you don't was fast enough, the evening sit inside.
It was also nothing offered, once a week is probably a 2-3 hour singer for the evening. That was it.
The friendliness of the staff was corresponding very economical at all! I could not understand, but that should not concern me as a guest actually not.
-Shower gel and shampoo in the room was empty and not more filled up.
-Two only two large towels in the room (no beach or pool towels separately)
The pools were down chilled, but unfortunately 1-2 degrees too cold. Eww.
The plates in the main restaurant were in this warm-racks and really much too hot.
-The misteriös effective Manager of the hotel crept again and again acknowledged by the hotel and if everything was running smoothly, but apparently he has seen the bugs/work. He could not even say hello.
GENERAL:
-The best rooms of the hotel are either in the main pool or the rooms with a private pool.
You could eat in one of the theme restaurants, 'for free', but you have to the drinks pay. ( total Nonsense)
-One had to be aware, that there is in kolymbari nothing is, the nearest town is 20 kilometer away about chania.
-Is highly recommended, is to rent a car (not expensive) and a little the island to explore, are really nice spot to discover.
Never without transfer book, the hotel is away from the airport heraklion 160 kilometer! (Or, alternatively, the same destination chania book)
All in all it was a very nice holiday, but the hotel was a bit boring. We are now also no friends of the large action with entertainment, etc., but we had expected a little more. Given that nothing round about there was to avoid. read more

All in all a comfortable hotel with quiet atmosphere. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday only want to relax this is the place to stay. The atmosphere was like maybe not for everyone, but we liked the modernity of the hotel was very good (equipment, furniture, etc.).
Almost the whole staff positive convinced, but there was a receptionist, are certainly still needs to make up for lost ground in terms of dealing with guests or their satisfaction. The staff can be described as friendly and unobtrusive, for our requirement but was just perfect.
The guest structure was ... mixed and very pleasant. Many different nationalities of all ages. But overall, little German speaking (during the stay we noticed a German-speaking family).
for those Beach bathing shoes necessary, because it is rocky.

The hotel to a Fünfsternstandard to offer. Except for furnishings and the cleanliness of the room can get this standard but not stop. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the buffet in the main restaurant is plain and boring presented. Quality and the change of the food leaves a little to be desired. In the service area are very many unprofessionaly temporary employees from Eastern Europe. Only the main bar and the pool bar is very good with Greek professional bartenders occupied. This hotel lacks any flair - ambience in vain. The warm Greek hospitality is can't be found ... here. read more
