We were frequently in Tunisia and were so far always very satisfied. This hotel counts but definitely one of our favorites. It was really a great vacation in a great hotel. The hotel is huge with over 300 rooms. Everything is in good condition and very clean. I had half board, what i completely sufficient. In november, there were mainly elderly people there, mostly german. Many spend there a long-term vacation. read more

    My room was huge with a double bed, a couch and two chairs, as well as a large flat screen tv with ARD, ZDF, 3-satellite and some private. A mini bar is available. The bathroom is also extremely spacious with a toilet and bidet. The air conditioning i (november!) Not needed. You have a big balcony available. Everything was cleaned daily and was spotlessly clean.

    The food was good, plentiful and tasted good. The selection was varied, so that actually everyone something find could. There was next to internationer kitchen always tunisian specialities, the outstanding were. The restaurant is naturally enormous, because all at the same time can eat. The design of the restaurant is however somewhat to a big cantina for it is value for money. An eternal issue is the lack of teaspoons for breakfast. You must regularly extra ask, what i was incomprehensible and is.

    With german you got along well, with french obviously better. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help. As the tv did not work, came after 5 minutes a technician and the device replaced. The rooms are off course cleaned daily, every day there were fresh bedding and fresh towels and bath towels. A bathrobe is also available.

    Since the machinery for a year more in monastir land, but in enfidha (proximity Hammamet), the transfer took by bus over two hours. The hotel is located at extreme end of the tourist zone. To the beautiful beach one runs until mahdia about one and a half hour. But with the metro (stop opposite the hotel) it takes only about a quarter of an hour and costs 550 millimes (about 30 cents) a metro-schedule you can at the front desk pick-up. The metro runs from mahdia, monastir to sousse, so cheap a trip do. Opposite the hotel you can purchase groceries and clothes to buy. It is cheaper at the general magazines directly in mahdia.

For one week beach vacation the hotel is absolutely perfect. Absolutely disturbing (for us in the future the ko-criterion for this place) was the long travel by bus (2 to 3 hours) from the airport enfidha to the hotel. read more

Finally can we also our impressions. Once to the previous reviews. We were very surprised how this excellent hotel negative reviews whelms was. We must say, that we in Germany never in star hotel übernachet and i trust also tell me some of our ' speakers' certainly not. So in our eyes the hotel was simply a dream, and it was anticipated your every wish (also without bribe). The staff were very friendly and super courteous. From the housekeeping staff each 2. day the bed linen changed, and the hand towels and beach towels every day. The toilets were in ... the entire place very clean. Over the guest structure can so overall not say much. There were all age groups represented, as well as many nationalities. In the entire hotel was from about 21:00 a pleasant peace. If we are to have party, etc. Ausgewesen would be, we would Mallorca on Ballermann holiday must. read more

    Our room was huge, and we also homely. The air conditioning worked also without zimmerkey, so after a long hot day at the beach in a well air conditioned room. Tv was in the room, but only 3 german channels to see their quality not good (but we didn't on vacation to watch tv \u263a The condition of the room was very reasonable.     We were with the offered food very satisfied. Every day there was a variety of different dishes. And i think there was something there for every taste. The dessert buffet was great. And i understand with the best will no, why some write here, that all dishes tasted or has someone said, that everything after 'mutton' tasted. I would really like to know, what these people eat at home... But about taste yes famous way to argue. At this point i would like to refer to our kind waiter lasard thank you \u263a The dining room was clean and tidy. Only drawback in the morning, you always had to to kaffeelöffeln questions. But they were then also immediately refilled. The drinks prices were okay.

    The staff are accommodating and very friendly. At the front desk german/english/french spoken. The cleaning of the rooms was very reasonable. There were 2 times forgotten fresh hand and beach towels into the bathroom to put, this was after a call in the lobby also leads.

    The distance from the hotel to the beach is really only a 'stones throw' away. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel is bearable, but one was however with a beautiful extensive dream beach compensated. Shopping are in the immediate proximity several available. On maintenance possibilities we have in this week no value, since we are the 'peace' were looking for. Excursions are sufficiently offered by the tour operators.

The hotel, 6 kilometer from the small, unspectacular city mahdia, offers ideal conditions for relaxing beach vacation directly at the extensive sandy beach. Who quiet beach vacation and little value on interesting excursions / sights sets, you are in goods hands here. The animation is unobtrusive and not annoying/loud. The same is true for salesmen. Small shops in front of the hotel offer shops. Alcoholic beverages only in a small, inconspicuous shop (a little like a prison cell appears) right next to the 'grand magasin' sold. Drink prices in the hotel are relatively cheap ( water / soft drinks converted ... 1,50 Euro). read more

We had everything we wanted and that was sun, beach, sea and simply times relaxation. The beach was dreamlike. Also by the pool we loved it. There was cushions for free and paid deposit also free towels. The staff at the hotel was very friendly. Water cost during dinner 3 Dinar about 1.50 Euro. Air conditioning ran in the room also without inserted show, was great. The hotel has however no 5 stars, there were maybe 10 years time. We had a large tear in the carpet directly in front of the bed. Not so great. Everything a bit ... shabby/ partly also very run-down. Old beach chairs and old furniture. Thick minus - mold in the bathtub and the wooden door in the bathroom. -stomach problems because of the food. Unfortunately we were greeted by the guide not pay attention, that also in Tunisia be careful with the food selection to, (I knew from Egypt already, however we thought this would be perhaps in Tunisia something else) Well next time we are smart. Better salad and fresh washed fruit omit. But we had sun and a really beautiful beach in the autumn, and for the price everything was really super nice, if you however real 5 star is expected be disappointed ( we were at the beginning, but you get used to it, and with such great weather is usually outside) read more

The hotel complex is nice. In general clean, but the carpets in the hallways and in the room only once a week vacuumed (is not pleasant, just in the room). The food in the restaurant was completely OK., there is something for every taste. The beach was very clean. There was unfortunately everyday the same problem: generally the German have the chairs at the beach already at 6 o'clock reserved in the morning. So if you after the breakfast cIRCA to 9 at the beach was, there was no free places more (and mind you, the people themselves, the loungers ... reserved, were not there!). In the hotel there is no great possibilities for activities. Entertainment program found in 2 weeks maybe 3 time. If you no children has, then you could in the bar evenings sit and from time to time times live music enjoy. The spa is ridiculous. Sauna there is only for two people ( the other had to wait, until the two Saunaplätze again become vacant are). If you exit the hotel, there are a few shops nearby, apart from that no further possibilities, to go for a stroll. Mahdia is very small and there is in the town or rather in the village of Mahdia not lots to see. All together, you can this hotel only recommend it, if you only beach vacation to make would like and no large have expectations. I have this hotel for especially reasonable price booked, accordingly I had also no large expectations had, apart from that would be a disappointment. I can't say' once and never again', but' once is enough ', I would not again this hotel choose. Strenuous is the shuttle from the airport to the hotel ( and of course back) of 2 hours, but it was still tolerable. read more

Well, if you ' halli -Galli-dre. -party a la malle or similar expected, this is completely wrong, it is rather a hotel for the classic quiet beach vacation, garnishes possibly times indicated one or another trip after mahdia/sousse/port el kantaoui. Which frankly however not really worth it. The hotel has its 5 stars with the lobby and the pool/ the outside certainly once earned, lugs however mainly from its past. The 'dining room' as well as the hallways, and in particular the rooms itemize against already longer ongoing traffic which is for example in the fishing hanging cupboard doors, creaking ... and partly only with violence zuzuschlagenden zimmereingangstüren or strong shabby furniture shows, and the furnishing also in neuzustand rather 3 stars. Room include positive feedback tv ( German program = ZDF,3 satellite, RTL and sometimes VOX) also a free safe. The casino there are already some comments further tourist -with my name 'dining room' can confirm I probably the most. You should however not demonise, for a massentourismushotel it is okay, the expectations should just not on the 5 * refer.     When we our room - standard room on pool level with a garden- nordblick -we were only a bit disappointed, because of heat and in the room tolerable temperature we knew it however to appreciate. The cleanliness was for tunisian standards okay, the trinkgeldabhängigkeit I can't confirm, however also not exclusive. Nevertheless I can the comments some reviewer here understand, that now and then something was missing or exchange of towels forgotten. Take the just relaxed, briefly once a request to front desk or directly to the cleaning staff and the whole thing was done.

    The nice attempts the entertainment uS water aerobics, a something between Zumba club dance, archery, table tennis, bocchia and ' voolleybool ' stimulate, we could deliberately ignore and instead the beach enjoy, you-provided you wanted a beach chair-the bad habit of timely reservation sacrifice had. If you then still craving felt after outside to move and into town ( mahdia) to go, for all inclusive 4 Dinar (3 for drive plus generally 1 baksheesh)- no matter how far into town -take a taxi. The latter offers in particular on friday, the market day in mahdia, at, on the it almost everything and is not not only from tourists, but also many locals frequented (caution: wallets good guard! Or do not for example the ' I-am-the -waiter-in the -hotel- masche' fall-those are there very resourceful...

The 5 stars are not more justified, ( in our case particularly the bathroom: loose and dripping bath tub armature), maximum 4 stars The dining room is very loud and uncomfortable, the breakfast/ dinner in the open was not possible - unfortunately - mugs and spoon for breakfast were rarity. Our room was standard but OK. Pleasant: bathroom and toilet are separated. Loungers included Cushions for pool/ beach/ lawn there were enough. There was only light -animation- no games; only water aerobics it becomes correctly loud. Traffic connection after Mahdia with the train only a few minutes walk away. The ... train runs hourly. The trackmen distributed on request gladly the roadmap. read more

    Staff were always helpful for every question open and has always helped us out. Cleaning of the rooms was ok, vacuuming, because carpet in the room, is not their passion. Otherwise is the entire area in a rather clean condition. It is also always on the own opinion on. Compared to our at home certainly equivalent. Biggest fault, service in the food area. in the dining room are very many waiter but such a chaos I have never experienced something like that. And from ceilings didn't work. A teaspoon is already difficult. Sometimes cutlery from the staff only one towels from mopped and then brought to the table. So overall we were very satisfied. The disadvantage is however to the in the surroundings nothing great is. If you the hotel complex left to evenings time for a walk is almost nothing except for 2 shops around a bit sweet or drinks buy can actually not more.     The location at the beach, it is really the most beautiful beach in mahdia, is:by the garden and already is one there. We are time after mahdia on the beach walked, about 1,5 hours if you this time made, only then will a deliberately what a wonderful beach the mahdia palace has. Opposite the hotel left and right there are some cafés and restaurants. Supermarkets are available. A capuzin costs 1,5 Dinar. Where there are in Germany a café for 75 cents. Unfortunately will not much effort for German given-one must necessarily speak English-it is still not sure, whether your opposite you understand, as the tunisians it more or less speak, but hard understand:-) For breakfast, there is only dust-dry Baguette, aqueous cheese, reddish sausage and jams. Oh, and cakes there is always for those, the like sweet. Initially ok, after 10 days really hardly more zuspülen down-) The evening buffet ... is ok, but all German had stomach, intestine -problem after about 3 days. Tablets for such situations should in any case be packed. The dinner buffet goes from to o'clock-however is at o'clock all issued and partly already cleared away. Whoever came only around eight comes, has already often bad luck. If large groups arrived-preferably Italian and russians, was suddenly especially hard-even extra Italian-and Russian-speaking entertainers, as mentioned, the rest is English. Crystal clear water, small fish around the feet-really wonderful! :-) Distance of cities: (depending on how insane the particular drivers :-d) Mahdia 10 minutes Monastir 1 hour Sousse one and a half hours Tunis 3 hours Entertainment possibilities offer only the cities, and the also rather moderate. No comparison to Turkey for example. And bazaars you will only ripped off. Be careful with spices! They were still not in Turkey? Fly better there than to Tunisia.

All in all for a beach vacation for us that best hotel in Mahdia. Wonderful beach. Nice people. When we were there, in early September, the hotel was with 900 guests fully booked. This has during dinner noticed. It was just too loud. The waiters partly overburdened. Certainly they gave themselves the largest trouble it the guests make it as pleasant as possible. But it worked not always. But, we will come back nevertheless, if we only in Monastir land may. The bus trip from enfidha after Mahdia simply too far. read more

The vacation was for a pure bathing and relaxing vacation really great. The hotel is very gro and nice. We had a room with a sea view and one of the most beautiful room. Unfortunately we have but also different rooms seen, the at all the 5 stars not correspond. Auerhalb the hotel one may not expect much, except for garbage. However is located next door a mini golf course, the we recommend could. Our room was huge and clean. We felt very much at ease there. Also with the food it was after a day out. For breakfast, there ... is fresh Omelets and pancakes. We found that great. Generally is the food good. Unfortunately you feel as German not so probably there or you have to the behavior the staff to get used to. It will be in a restaurant all local guests preferably, before one then drink. This is some German and Austrians negative. So the staff tried to be friendly, but it is not often managed. Otherwise you should by the pool evenings on a stage eighth, the is not lit, and you constantly the falls. Even a free with your baby are there fallen and it was from the hotel nothing, there have been several guests this complained, like we, but it nothing was changed. I hope, that it in future will do! In all however, it was a good relaxing vacation, if you're not everything, and some loose adopted. read more
