In the Pachira lodge I was 3 days as a part of my Tortuguero -round trip. It is a natural complex on stilts built bungalows, large restaurant, bar (cocktail circa 6 American Dollar) and beautiful pool. Everything is raised or wooden jetties connected with one another. The lodge is on the main duct in the jungle only with boats to reach, surrounded of a lot of trees, plants, flowers and animals such as different species of birds, monkeys, snakes, Leguanen and crocodiles. With a bit of luck you can see some of them. Boat trips with the channels we saw ... very lots of animals and the familiar with the place tour guide displays and explains the secrets of jungle with much enthusiasm. At the nightly leadership to the turtles, which we later the oviposition could observe told the guide with very much love everything about these wonderful animals should know, definitely recommendable. The rooms in the bungalows are clean and spacious, lovely quaint with screens and window everything was made of wood and a rocking chair on the doorstep, there one with a round trip not so much time spends. The restaurant is very big as with everything here from wood in nature integrated. You had to all 3 meal times the choice of dishes, all of which delicious were and the waiters were as usual nice and reserved, it wasn't missing anything. At the front desk also everything was immediately dealt with, the pool was not large but for swimming and relax in between perfectly adequate. Also the cocktails at the bar were tasty. read more

Were 1 night as part of our round trip in this lodge.
CIRCA 2 hours boat trip to the lodge. It is everything very clean and well maintained. Is but also in the middle of the jungle, so it is already something other as a city hotel.
The rooms rather basic (but clean). Have for example no safe. Also no windows. There is a fly lattice. Therefore, the experience, of course, even more intensively.
The restaurant for breakfast, and dinner was very good. There was a buffet of good quality.
Also the prices for drinks are OK.
If you want ... to relax, this can on a small pool do. We are rather in the complex around walked and about the many animals (iguanas, howler monkeys and so on) happy.
Excursions boat trip in the channels and the opposite turtles- beach (Absolutely no bathing beach) are mandatory or reason of the stay in Tortuguero! read more

The lodge is located in the middle of the jungle Leona. Diagonally across the river is the small town Punta Leona and a small airport.
The complex is very large, well-kept and clean. The rooms are very large and simply equipped. No hair dryer and safe.
We had full board. Small, but varied buffet. Juice, tea and coffee were included. At the bar there is delicious cocktails (5 USD).
No Cell Phone Connection. Free Internet PC in the front desk.
The place is set on Punta Leona tourists. Supermarkets, souvenir shops, Café 1 and excursion companies.
Unfortunately, the weather was ... nice for us with, we had a lot of rain, so the excursions, in the truest sense of the word, fell into the water. The Howler monkeys had to go in the rain didn't want to explore. The way back to our bus was blocked, since it was on the Caribbean side Straßenüberschwemmungen and bridge were no falls. We spent a night in then the lodge and were flown on the next day with a 12-sitzigen Cessna to San Jose. The flight was great. The rain had stopped and we had a great view from above. Our trip was then continued without the Caribbean side. read more

I lived in San Jose' and we wanted to enjoy our extended weekend, we booked the Pachira lodge. The bus ride and then with the boat took a few hours, as the rainy season was not yet in progress was and hardly any water in the channel was available, by boat through. But it was no problem = further) the lodge offers real relaxation! We could get away from our daily life and enjoy the free days. Either by the pool or simply relax with a trip to Punta Leona, hiking through the rainforest, to the beach (but you should ... not swim), boat channels, etc. since the resort is located in the middle of the rain forest and with the boat to go to another bank, to the supermarket, disco, etc. to go, is very depended on the hotel. Is however no problem, since there is a bar, the evening and you could end the evening by the pool or on the canal/Sea. In the evening you can the monkeys 'scream ' at the listen to, or watch during the day, if you sit in the trees! For party friends 'taxi-boat ' of the Pachira to other banks;-)The rooms were also very large, very clean! It was cleaned every day, fresh towels, etc. and the maid service left fresh towels in animal forms;-)Hundred % recommendation-) read more

We stayed for two days in the context of a TUI-trip at the hotel and were woken early from howler monkeys! Pure jungle. The relatively large hotel is situated in the heart of the national park. We have two very nice boat trips with rubber boots and a walk through the rainforest (thick high socks take, rubs! Everything else on). The hotel was a canopy tour (Zipline) offered, cost $30 and had a lot of fun. The rooms are relatively simple equipped, but clean. No hair dryer, therefor there is free Internet access in the lobby. It was the best ... hotel of the trip, but in retrospect, the location was the best. Pure nature evenly. read more

The complex is very nice. The 88 rooms are spread over several houses. The lodge features a large dining room and right on the river, there is a bar and a pool and boat dock.
The rooms are large and clean, and are equipped with two large beds.
All rooms have a shower and a bathroom with hot water.
Each room has a terrace.
The food in the hotel was good.
I stayed at the hotel only for one night on my trip.
The lodge is ideal for nature lovers. Boat tours were offered.

Jungle lodge a very good. The adventurous, by car to Cano Blanco very bumpy, slow, but you can see it more animals. With the boat just lovely, refreshing fair wind of 230 HP produced. Overall only jungle, great.
Our first trip to 6.30 earlier than all the others were still sleeping, five in the boat with a driver and guide romantico our original but very good German. It wasr fantastic, we saw a great many animals, that we cannot go on for hours.
On the way back we lumbered contrary to all the other boats. We could eat breakfast ... in peace.
Later a jungle tour through the mud with Brüllaffenbegleitung.
In the afternoon, go on a tour in the same occupation in the Cano Harold. Again indescribable. Evening drink with the best piña colada in Costa Rica, and we have tried very many.
The rooms are simple, sleep was difficult, because anyone jungle-CD was not a foregone conclusion.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay in functional furnishings.
Night with torches at the lighting.
Wide buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, for short stays very good. read more

'Pachira lodge' was our first stay in Costa Rica as part of our trip. The complex was only reached with the boat.
It is a very nice, well-kept location with many lodges, the partly on stilts are built. You really had the feeling, right in the middle of the jungle-you're. Early in the morning to five o'clock one is waked by the Howler monkeys, it really is worth the experience! And otherwise you'll hear always some animals. The area is a hiking trail, which you can explore on your own. You can see snakes, spiders, toucans, monkeys, birds. Results. The ... pool is nicely designed and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I can recommend this hotel to 100%! read more
