Moana surfrider is right on waikiki with a view of the 'diamond head '. On arrival you are directly with a chain decorated. Rooms from 3:00 p. m. obtainable. Very good check-in. The lobby is very spacious. The stairs to the top floor (don't worry, there are enough lifts), almost only of japanese and korean newly weds in devaluate from the minute the fabulous use. In the evening there was also always piano music. Naturally only for the, who like it. Facing the street there is a porch with rocking chairs, the constantly from the older guests were occupied. ... The pool quite small, but since directly the beach not a problem. Annoying here not enough chairs available and the neighbour is again directly on the skin. The few chairs are almost all with towels paralysed. Speaking of towels, always nice the key production, so that you also get. The turquoise water is, in fact, milky by the many coral lime. Until the knee in the water and feet you know not. Was for me however not so problematic.
Our room was in the old building from colonial. It was clean, the bathroom newer. But it was too small. In the five days did our things only through the room, not enough counter space was available.
The breakfast was excellent. There is a wonderful buffet, which quickly refilled. But also quickly broke. The service was everywhere in the house outstanding. read more

For a 5 star hotel i had more cleanliness, service and efficiency expected. However the location is great, the beach directly behind the hotel. The banyanbaum in the garden is wonderful! read more

First of all I must say, that the whole review on a rooms in the main building applies. The room in the diamond blades, which gave us the upgrade was talks up, we have rejected by return. The rooms are probably exactly old as the whole hotel, in addition the rooms small and musty. The only positive is the balcony with a spectacular view of the see. In accordance with the move we were given a wonderful large rooms with new bathroom. Unfortunately the view really not ideal. The huge large Banyan tree blocked the view of the see and ... some of the rooms have solely small mini- holes, which is not even open.
the pool, the beach and the beach bar area is always overcrowded. The fight for one of the few loungers by the pool a bit annoying, but we daily won. The small hotel's own beach section is exactly busy as the rest of the beach of Waikiki and here you have as a hotel guest for the beach chairs and the umbrellas beds.
in the middle the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, the hotel is a wonderful oasis. Both at the pool bar, as well as in the hotel lobby there are almost always live music, Hawaii pleasantly surprised inside hula dancing, in the rocking chairs on the front porch in front of the hotel. Guests from all world the hustle and bustle of watching. read more

The choice of the room is crucial for a peaceful holiday, who want to spend a good room must but also very much money. We have chosen us for a middle room (price level). In the historical part with sea view. this was gigantic. The room was very small, no place to open a suitcase, let alone it is possible to leave, no balcony, Windows leaked, therefore very noisy and did only a small gap wide open. No possibility to hang up wet things, the bathroom was very small. No-go for a hotel of this category. Stand in line for ... the breakfast, we have passed on it, are enough in the area. Beach was very narrow, crowded, is of course much to see, rich, beautiful, cool, crazy, etc. seawater flooded the beach often at high tide and high waves. 80% Japanese, many weddings, stretch limos and photographers, busy and noisy. if you need it, please, I would it not once again. read more

The Westin moana surf rider is one of the topaddresses in Honolulu and is because of its historic architecture of a landmark of the city! The treditionsreiche luxury hotel is about 100 years old, the historical flair will feel you today in every corner! A absolute dream hotel!
Next to the elegant main building, in which the best (and most expensive) rooms are, there were two adjoining Hochhaustürme, the outside rather ugly are, but inside also luxurious rooms offer. The hotel building group A wonderful inner courtyard, the to the beach that is open and one of the oldest and ... largest the banyan trees is available. To streetsand on the courtyard side, the hotel is a timber surround with armcharis and swing chairs, in the traditional southern style!
all hotel areas are very clean and in the best condition. read more

The rider is a surf moana hotel. We had a room with a view of the sea in the oldest part of the hotel. The view is simple dreamlike, because the hotel right on the beach. The beach at Waikiki itself is very nice but also very crowded, because it is not very wide. You can find more information on the hotel's own beach section Rent beach chairs, which was very comfortable and unfortunately rather expensive ($40 per day) is. read more

Impeccable, old style hotel with all modern amenities. Waikiki is at your doorstep, much of it can be reached on foot. Otherwise there is a (free) trolley to go from one end to the other. read more
