The hotel is perfectly located for dhow trips to the fjords and is the main reason to stay here. The hotel is able to provide referrals for trips. The pool and food is good enough and there is a Lulu in town. The hotel is somewhat dated but is clean and good for small children. We enjoyed our stay there and would go again. read hotel review

A fairly new hotel (10 years perhaps) from the town of khasab. Car is recommended as a base for excursions on the peninsula perfectly suitable-there is also a diving school in the hotel (the had but because of Ramadan unfortunately too) read hotel review

    Decent breakfast buffet-everything what you need. During ramadan but á la carte (because then yes during the day no food 'issued' to) Dinner in the hotel restaurant was not bad, but a little pricey.

    Somewhat outside of khasab-but we had a car - did not bother us. Public beach not far away, no private beach, but a nice pool right on the cliff

The 'golden tulip' (gth) is an appealing, are in good condition litte and very cozy 3 star hotel on the omani peninsula musandam. Despite the secluded location worked the hotel went smoothly, for the locals is the hotel also a social meeting place. The ockerfarbene 4-storey building is very quaint on a cliff and offers wonderful views of the coast. The guests were mostly from foreign (groups) travelers together, but there are business people from the region or abroad here, on the weekends' fall ' also many expatriats from the emirates with their families and kids. In the lobby you ... will find next to the reception a tourveranstalter (khasab tours ), here you can the usual excursions including a dhow. -drive to the fjords musandams or necessarily recommendable mountain tour to the jebel harim book. read hotel review

    The 'golden tulip' has approximately 60 rooms, the with carpets tiled hallways by the elevator or staircase distance. As i due to an extremely noisy nachbarsfamilie still on the first night have to change, i learned both room with a pool-, as well as the sea know. These were identical equipped, single rooms = double room for single occupancy. The decor was of a good 3 star level, the rooms include a clean tiled floors (between the beds a bit attacked carpet), two double beds with very good mattress and bedside table, spacious closet with a safe, refrigerator with water digester, some coffee/tea bags and (very expensive) minibar, flat screen tv (only arabic channels), floor lamp, desk with telephone, small table with two armchairs and efficient, centrally controlled air conditioning. The bathroom was very small, was a little worn and had a vanity with mirror, hair dryer with an integrated plug for razor, make-up mirror and some miniature toiletries, toilet, fluffy hand and bath towels, as well as a very narrow seat shower with rainwater shower head. Very negative is, the rooms extremely clairaudient and you are on the habits and sensitivities of a somewhat louder neighbors-or a family with children - good could participate.

    As in almost all the hotels in the region, are also in gth almost exclusively asiatic forces busy. One is mostly friendly, tried very hard and tried it making pleasant to the guest. Nonetheless, you know, that you 'in the country' and far from the big cities Dubai or Abu Dhabi. A shop do not give it in the hotel, also i found no picture postcards or stamps.     Heart of a well-kept grass covered and ocean-facing terrace is the quite large curved pool, a wonderful place to swim and relax on the comfortable couches. Towels are available in self-service. To the islamic and christian holidays (do-free, so)) is the Areal with hotel guests and external visitors very well stocked, it can already times quite noisy. A children's playground is available as well as a small fitness room. For divers, the house the school extra divers with private boat.

    The hotel is about 4 kilometers away still quite original place khasab, 5 kilometer to the airport, at good weather conditions daily from Oman Air cruise terminals. Khasab offers some pretty arab corners (mosques, souk, harbor) also a large supermarket (lulu, no alcohol available), and the jetty for the quick and while luisenpark, (dhows). Taxis are not available, transfers between the hotel and the city with you, by you on the street a pick-up/truck/van continues and the driver for 1 or (1 Rial = 2 €) into your hand presses. Possibly, the hotel also a (free) shuttle was. Dubai is about 170 kilometers away, although the road to musandam are very well developed, you have to because of the quite lengthy, but basically cleanliness release at the border with good 3 hours driving time be expected. After ras al khaimah it was a good hour drive, for the (in advance Germany with a omani agency posted) privattaxi i paid etwa 35 Euro.

The whole hotel works somewhat older, the furniture in the room is however in good condition. The bathroom would be ok in terms of size, but if you have the door open or want to close, so it was a bit tight with the space. The frottéetücher hang behind the door, so the door but repeatedly and to make must. The pool was in good condition and it was enough sunbeds and frottéetucher. The dinner (in buffet form) should be somewhat more diverse. High but it was good! We only stayed for two nights in this hotel and would rather ... for individual days and not for whole weeks recommend. The town of khasab is about 45 minute walk from the hotel and unfortunately there are no taxis or buses. It is thus on the hotel shuttle, a bus or your own hired car. Unfortunately we could so never outward dinner, which we were very happy to have done. read hotel review

The hotel is about 2 kilometer before khasab from the border (Rak) coming, is on the cliffs of the sea built and has no beach. The sea reaches one over stairs-to swim is simply rubbish. We are about 1 kilometer direction khasab run (once we had also chairs from the hotel with, as we are driven) and the public, easy rocky bathing beach use it. There is an excellent clean and well kept pool area, however to meetings in the low-season is unfortunately the pool bar closed. The rooms are excellent, with everything what the tourist heart needed ( tv ..., DVD, flat screen, desk, armchair ( 2 piece, not always normal).) and all rooms have view of the sea. The breakfast was very rich, although not lots of guests in the house were (mostly Arabs, Spanish and German), the dinner qualitatively high-quality, but also expensive, so that we in the 2. evening warm food in LuLuHypermarket bought and then at the beach consumed have. The hotel gives excursions in the fjords, you should in any case as eldest neded use and above all not in Germany book- the price here in the Oman is only about 40% of the German Vermittlerpreises and what was outstanding, we booked a mountain safari over 2000 meters height here we found next to a crazy-view also fossilized Artifacts and Höhlenzeichnungen of UR-habitants. We have the hotel as a part of a round trip booked. But very suitable. Not suitable for longer beach vacation. Hotel lies although right next to sea but no access, since on a cliff. To the beach cIRCA 1a 2 kilometer along the street. Hotel lies very lonely. The next town ( Khasab) is about 3a 4 kilometer away. There not much going on. Possibilities for excursions in the mountains exist. Here is however a jeep required. read hotel review

We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful hotel, which on a hill overlooking the ocean. We only breakfast in expectation taken, since we heard about a small tour in musandam and the dinner outside of hotels, individually to us take (see restaurant-tip). The breakfast was very good, tasty and rich. As already Predecessors described have, this hotel is for a beach vacation rather unsuitable, since no hotel's own sand beach, let alone a access to the sea, available is. The city khasab is about 3 kilometer distant, on foot only difficult to reach, as no path and lighting available. ... The complete lack of taxis in khasab difficult too explore the area. However we were on request at the front desk always with a free shuttle busBus /-car in the city and to our preferred time slot-it fill picked up again (also 22:00 o'clock not a problem) in short: very pleasant hotel with a exemplary, helpful front desk. read hotel review

Large breakfast buffet with international and Arab dishes, everyone can find after its taste. International guest structure- sometimes also clear preponderance of Arab guests -as it is quite noisy at the rooms. Unfortunately many rooms with connecting doors neighboring rooms -the soundproofing is quite negative and the night's sleep sometimes a problem. Complaints have only limited success-in a room without connecting doors move (there are only very few) or the main Arab weekends or avoid. read hotel review

    too many double room appropriate size. Large beds with pleasant couch comfort. Small opportunities to sit in the room - balcony with plastic chairs and a view of the pool/sea. Condition always clean -but due to the usual through doors to the neighboring rooms unfortunately loud( conversations and/or TV are all within easy understand). As not everyone at normal Rest stops, it is also within a considerable disturbed sleep lead. Double room next suites should be avoided, since suites often celebrated met or that is not a dry eye!

    Next to the main restaurant there was also a cafeteria, but during our stay had been open. Apart from the large breakfast you can lunch and evenings in the main restaurant international or typical of the country food- evenings usually in buffet form with a big selection. Service, cleanliness and quality we had at any time complain about. Atmosphere is in the restaurant a bit cold and with raunbedingt constant noise not quiet, back food stuffs suitable. With good weather you can dine on the terrace, as long as the wind is not too strong blows.

    All staff -particularly at the front desk - were friendly and willing to help. All of them spoke and understand English.     Without car or transfer is nothing at all. No beach but steep coast with not about partial access to the water. The sea was clear and clean-often more surf-then it is the bathing at the steep coast of itself. We went on two excursions: drive along the coast to the border with the UAE-very beautiful panorama and good street -you can even in the rental car make. The junks drive to the fjords of khasab khasab was alone or simply because the many dolphins and the possibilities on the island to snorkeling an experience. In the hotel there is a local organizer, the excursions reliable organized. For urgently purchases (we required a pharmacy) you can take the hotel shuttle. In khasab is the restored Fort very worth seeing.

dreamlike location with a view over the whole bay. For all who seek peace and remote location not afraid. Great base for diving trips (diving right next to the hotel) and explore the peninsula. The local offers for Dowcruises and montain-safari use (recommendation: Munsandam sea adventure tourism), which shows an impressive landscape musandam peninsula with mountains (up 2087m) and rugged coasts with fjords, ideal for snorkeling. Staff is friendliness and commitment with little flaws more than made up for it. read hotel review
