We were from 19.-21. february as a part of a champions league gastspiels for 3 days (2 nights) in the Sultan Ahmet Palace Hotel checked in. On arrival was the check in smoothly and easily within a few minutes, we could our room on arrival at 13:00 o'clock immediatley. The cheap booked double room (78 Euro per bed for both of us, including breakfast) turned out to be in the oriental-style furnished rooms, not huge but for a city tour big enough. Tv with 3 german programs available, there is also a free wi-fi-access, air conditioning. The bathroom ... and rooms were clean and perfectly cleaned. The bathroom is in the form of a mini-hammams equipped, some getting used to, but interesting. Our room on the 1. floor possessed a balcony, from the one to the one hand directly on the Blaue Moschee and other side on the bosphorus looked, really great.
The breakfast was sufficient, everything available what you start to the day needs. Great view the breakfast room/terrace on the sea.
Well stocked mini fridge could also for the cooling of own beverages be used. To the in the hotel restaurant we can't make any comments, as i didn't visit (prices but according to the map not expensive than in the surrounding restaurants). The hotel is located within walking distance only 5 minutes away from the blue mosque (other attractions such as the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and so on. In the immediate vicinity to reach on foot), thus for super central in the old town of Istanbul location. Good traffic connections to the public transportation (tram, bus, and so on.).
Tips: our taxi from the airport ataturk amounted to 40 tiirk. Lira, before fixed price negotiated. Back with the taxi without fixed price 43 Lira loud meter paid. If you want to play it safe the hotel offers a airport-transfer for 20 €(total cost).
Bosporus tour from the ferry terminal Eminönü at the Galata Bridge make, costs 10 Lira (about 4 €), takes about 1,5 hours and is really worth seeing. Not advertisers or tugs book, there too expensive and only with minibooten on the way. Ticket booth official fährgesellschaft use.
The underground cistern visit, something completely different and really interesting. The entrance is located diagonally opposite the Hagia Sophia, simple access, can quickly be overlooked, just after the yerebatan sarayi questions.
Conclusion: great city, also unrestricted far recommendation for the hotel, definitely again. read more

The hotel is ideally located, the most important sights on foot to visit. Either one view of Blaue Moschee, or on the sea. It has only 39 rooms, all of which a bathroom a small hamam have. The rooms are big enough. In the hotel by other guests (italian!) A bit noisy. On 2 floors no elevator, which but also unnecessary is. The staff was friendly and capable. The breakfast could be better (scrambled eggs swimming in hot water). For this the restaurant is on the roof terrace, with a great view on the sea of marmara. We would (and ... have ) this hotel already recommended. read more

Indicated hammanbadezimmer must one only times make friends, a classic shower would have rather been me. read more

A ageing, but very well maintained small hotel right next to the blue mosque. The hotel has 3 floors, the rooms are functional and clean. The hotel welcomes the guest in the entrance with a small, romantic garden, so that one felt not at all in the massive Istanbul to be. The hotel terrace offers enough space and is very comfortable ( with a view of the sea). The hotel is with a lot of loving details equipped and very nice to look at. read more

We could the stay thoroughly enjoy. One of the best hotels with really beautiful view of the Marmara sea. The view of the mosque is terrific. The morning Muezzinruf belongs to the oriental flair and replaces the alarm clock:-) the staff are very welcoming and warm. A rich and varied breakfast buffet, the constantly renewed there was also the late risers fully available. Very good tips and support there was for the evening entertainment, included free ride there and back the venues/ restaurants. To our surprise we were upgraded and got a wonderful suite. A dream with jacuzzi. The ... drive with the taxi to Taksim square and from there by bus the gokcen -airport made possible again a city inspection of the special nature and costs about Friday 16-and takes with traffic about 2 hours travel time. We will definitely come again! During the Spring/ fall recommendable. read more

What about the quality of the hotel at other body is written, is true, I will therefore not repeat. - we found it however very hard to get used to, that in our room the bathroom as' Hamam ' running was. In principle really nice, with the constraint, that the toilet bowl and the towel rack in the wet areas were. Since we had already better solutions experienced! read more

We have for the first time in this hotel used, although I had already several times in this great city was. The location is fantastic and from the outside hardly observably. In the summer you can the terrace and the garden sure great use, to read. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, only at the friendliness the waiter in the restaurant still need to 'worked' are. The look sometimes a bit grim. On my next Istanbulbesuch I will in any case again in this hotel live. read more
