A first class hotel for a city trip, also and especially with children. We have from the start felt comfortable. At the reception we were always friendly received and served. Breakfast and evening snack in the executive lounge were perfect, as well as the service of the staff. The room of the category executive was spacious, comfortable and just wonderful. We were here for my birthday one night guest at the Marriott and the sunday the brunch enjoyed. This was absolutely great as regards choice and quality of the food and drinks. The hotel is in Köln direct in a small side-street behind the main station, s. d. you quickly in the city center, on Rhein or in the old town is. As a tourist definitely right, but the central location for example the dorints (formerly intercontinental) not over. Following, which top and flop in our opinion: Top: - front desk at check in, check out and when i a ... weinöffner asked super friendly and helpful (not from the top down, as you sometimes in 5 star resort). Even the chambermaid wished us a good home - in the bar and the next morning the brunch also a very good, friendly waiters (sometimes a little slow, but we are not dies of thirst \u263a ) - the bed is really a heavenly bed; we have in a hotel rarely slept so well - cocktails delicious, but too expensive - brunch top (see above)-we had already 'jet-setter' -food expected, but there was something there for every taste. One got even hot drinks, beer, wine sparkling wine, soft drinks, water, everything, and so much the heart desires and the desserts. A dream! Flop: - in room and bathroom was visible dust on shelf space to find and strip on mirror and at the shower's wall. I search not afterwards, but it is to the eye and it shouldn't be - only a shower (large), but no bath tub - no bathrobes in the room (however in the fitness area) - no comfort in the almost non-existent relaxation area of the sauna - you can from there on 2 loungers the saunierenden view (did not have to be). It was the exercise area quite large; it could possibly reduce. - no pool or at least ice cabin; the ' wellness' area is altogether very lovelessly designed. - in the brasserie, there are fewer and more expensive choice of meals as with the room-service. Since we didn't whole evening in the room wanted to hang, we were almost forced, going out. read more

The hotel we have previously booked and also reviewed positively. Therefore i give here 'only' a short evaluation and references for further details, but that didn't really necessary, in my previous review. There are also photos to the room. Our summary is short and sweet just great! Everything is good here, from the decor, on the rooms, check-in, check-out, breakfast, cleanliness, service-i would say, quite perfect and the star number accordingly. If you then still the luck has, the hotel at a very reasonable price in, so you have a fantastic price-performance ratio is, can a stay in Köln not ... be more beautiful. To this hotel we have no complaints whatsoever. It fit everything. No pure luxury-but a very good elevated city hotel, 5 stars are our opinion justified. If guests on the friendliness of the staff inside weight, you are probably with the wrong leg up. We can only praise. For us the beds harder can, as we it from at home it are so accustomed. The fridge is on request filled. Otherwise you can 24 hours next to the front desk in the hotel cheap buy drinks. Tea is in the room possible. read more

We were for the 2. time in this hotel for an extended weekend and again felt very comfortable. The hotel is very centrally located. Around 3 minutes away on foot to the train station, if you through the train station is, one is direct at the cologne cathedral. There begins the mall. The rooms are very appealing designed. The beds are very comfortable. Safe is free. Mini bar is not filled, but there was a shop in the hotel, the 24 hours was open. The room doors are the close really loud, so that you at night already time wake ... up can. Apart from that we have from our neighbors noise. The restaurant we couldn't rate, except from the breakfast. This is really terrific. All meals are very tasty, no no name products (real Nutella, babyball, philadelphia and so on) great delicious rolls, croissants, egg dishes, juice- and fruit bar, salmon, pancakes. Actually everything your heart desires. Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato is included at the breakfast buffet. The bar is also great. Tasty cocktails and super Cappuccino. The service is there very pleasant. During the christmas period the hotel you can often for a cheap price book. The hotel we would also next time book again. read more

We had 3-bed-room and double room with setting beds. As a double room the room was for sure very big and beautiful enough, with 3 women, each with a bag, it is then rather cramped feel. The extra beds were an impertinence, for children to 1.50 meters might be okay, but for adults way too small. Even we women have not really fit into. The lady at the check-in was somewhat completely overburdened, she wasn't able from the documents the names and has everything (although our documents of identification had) was entered incorrectly. The breakfast was very good, there ... was everything you can imagine. Also in a good quality. I had my handbag under the table forget. Very attentive service she immediately itself and it away. We have within few months for the 3. time in the hotel stayed in, this time with our children. We have a large suite. The was for two adults and two children in terms of size okay. Rooms are well equipped. Only drawback is, that the mini bar not filled was. However, with access to the executive lounge, where the beverages and snacks are included, definitely not neccessary. We enjoyed the sunday brunch much, really very recommendable. On the first night you had forgotten, the sofa bed for children to prepare. We had in the early evening contested, but when ... we at 23:00 pm back into the room came, the sofa was still not ready. After complaining in the morning the misfortune but taken care of immediately. Otherwise there was but there was nothing to complain. We will the hotel because of the good location and our satisfaction with our next stays definitely stay there again. read more

In december we stayed for two nights in the Marriott and felt very good here. The hotel is centrally located in the proximity of the station, so in the immediate area of the cathedral and a large mall. The hotel is very beautiful and pleasant regarding the atmosphere forth, the employees are without exception very friendly. Our room we liked, it was large enough and had a nice bathroom, and very comfortable beds. However the hotel is very noisy or the doors are the close extremely loud, so that constantly somewhere a slamming was to be heard, which particularly at ... the bar and at night annoying was, if you actually want to relax. Here should the hotel management maybe alternative schließmechanismen reflection. This is however also the only thing, that we at the hotel had to complain about. The restaurant we couldn't rate, except from the breakfast. But this was excellent in terms of choice and of the quality the food - there was everything that you could wish for. For me it is not comprehensible, what to complain about. We can Marriott highly recommend. read more

Regularly we will go to Köln, since we were friends. Thus the hotel tested thoroughly. The Marriott is located just behind the train station - on foot no 7 minutes. The hotel is overall ok, only the breakfast area is concerned, it is not a 5 star environment. For a were there wooden table, where no tablecloths were available. There were placemat of paper, where the price list noted was, put down. Sometimes there were no always. It was a cold atmosphere in the breakfast room. What the food is concerned, so we were also a bit disappointed, as it always the same was. There was also for breakfast no sparkling wine, where I other 4 until five star hotels was used to. The room itself was okay, but we ... have no daylight bath and at the start the fan was broken. What I had to complain about is, when I at the front desk a plaster evenings asked, I was told, is that all already had paid. So we had to once again to the center, which to buy! read more

Good top hotel in a good location in cologne city center. Everything generously arranged, there is nothing to fault. Conversely, me but also nothing especially special for the category noticed. read more

As already described by my predecessors, cleanliness in the rooms/ bathroom left nothing to the imagination, Staff in the breakfast room left friendliness miss, very ominous breakfast room, where there are the 5 stars! Only the prices at the bar were 5-star worthy! read more
