Hotel Dreams Punta Cana^{(5 stars)}

The rooms are catastrophic. The building is old and moldy. Lots of guests defendant over cockroaches. In my room ran the toilet not properly, the suspension the shower broke several times and the remote control didn't work. To praise is the dvd player for rainy days. The mini bar is refilled daily.

There is a buffet restaurant and several theme restaurants. The buffet is just bad: luke warm meals, either still roughly or tough cooked/fried were. At the beach i have the worst burger of my life eaten-cold and completely black grilled. The themed restaurants are a bit better, but only small selection and you must at least 90 minutes for the food plan. This is not for everyone. Tips can the service miraculously substantially improve. Actually should tip great service only reward, this tips new opportunities (for 1 Dollar tip the bartender in the lobby suddenly still Budweiser).

The service is mediocre. At the front desk you will quickly and served in a friendly manner. At the bar women clear benefits. Complaints were partly smiled away (cockroaches in the room), change only after days and several complaints possible. The doctor is extremely expensive. With english you could still communicate well everywhere, english absolutely sufficient.

The animation is partly good, partly very lazy. Although you get a overview of the actions of the next day to the room, but this only the half actually. It is about to the guests, that beachvolleyballspieler find. water aerobics and Zumba but every day in progress. The evenings are rather unspectacular. The pool is flagship of the hotel and winds almost through the entire plant. Before 10 is definitely still couches.

It is a medium-sized hotel area with 9 buildings. The condition the hotel is outside top, inside apply the flaws but clear. The interior is old and musty. This is the general cleanliness transfer. Is the swimming pool fostered and maintained, is the cleaning of the rooms in 5-10 minutes. The types of people are international: mainly canadians and americans, about 15% of europeans.

Remote location at the beach. To the airport at least 50 minutes on remote roads with the width of ackerwegen. Shopping and excursions in the more immediate vicinity are non-existent. If you excursions, can return overall loose three hours to complete, if other hotels were driven to.

Both of our room, with connecting door, were big enough. We had a king-size bed and the children a private bed. Both rooms were equipped with a gently -tv, telephone, mini bar, fan, air conditioning, safe ( free of charge ), coffee machine, iron, ironing board, bathrobes, hair dryer. Cleanliness was ok.

There is a large main restaurant, the world café. Here you can breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition there are more different nationalitätenrestaurants. For example the himitsu, if you chinese is no reservation needed, only when one japanese eats, one must announce itself before, as show cooking was done. There is still the Oceana fish restaurant, the mexican and so on, also here no reservation required. The food tastes everywere very good. In all rooms a peaceful atmosphere concerned. Tip in nationalitätenrestaurants per person 1 American Dollar counted ( is however voluntary). Nevertheless can the waiters very pleased.

The friendliness of all of the staff was excellent. It was missing to us at nothing at all. Our two children had have fun with the entertainer Felix. As already mentioned are foreign languages skills really important. The cleaning of the rooms was also after gift of tip no different. Towels were in any case changed. The mini bar was also free daily refilled. Child care in the kids club we didn't use, but there is one area for children from 3a 12 years with pirate ship, slide, pool, an experienced attendant. She really nice from. Since we doctor because of of falling in the lobby beötigten, we can only say, that here the prices are enormously high. For a bandage with ointment the doctor of us 150 American Dollar. We have our own from other guests ointment and association concerned. Thus also to such things in the luggage thinking. Because we no complaints whatsoever in the hotel had, we can this point also comment.

Sport could you really the whole day use, if one had desire in addition. No matter wether entertainment program or simply free kayaks or katamarns take. The beach is on the left side were very flat and sandy. In the middle and to the left are partly small rocks in the water, here the lying off reef further clean-gone. The water was very clean and the beach always maintained by gardener, the daily washed ashore seaweed as soon as possible eliminated. Loungers and sun screens at any time of the day absolutely sufficient available, no matter wether at the beach or by the pool. Luckily there was no stress for early reserving. Showers are at the beach and everywhere along the large pool area to find.

The hotel consists of several buildings, which left and right of the pool area to the beach built are. The houses have 2 floors. The two upper floors have balcony and the lower room has terrace. The blocks are well signposted. So one finds on the left side of the lobby direction beach the building 5-1. we had building 4 with a view of the pool and just over the bridge for towelcenter ( towel output). This block is centrally located, to the beach and to the lobby about the same way. We had 2 room with a connecting door and 2 bathrooms. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. The only thing which sometimes a bit mind, the noisy front doors into the room. Most nights we slept however quiet and very good. There are all nationalities available, canadians, americans, English, Puerto Rico and some German you will find again and again. Therefore English language is very important, since from the staff only English and spanish spoken is. The whole food, no matter wether in the morning or evenings, always tasted good and there is something for everyone. The only thing we complain about here is the choice of food lunch at the beach. Here there was only burgers or hot dogs. Apart from that you had to stop the whole complex and lunch in the world cafe in the main building eat. We used however only 2 times because we preferred at the beach were.

The distance to the beach is generally not very far, no matter wether you close front desk lives or block completely the front of the hotel. The next town is approximately 20 to 25 minutes away. To the airport we are approximately 50 minutes drive. There is a few small boutiques in the hotel, here are the prices however expensive. 1 to 2 times per week also evenings a few traders in the complex, where some souvenirs offer (are but not pushy). Apart from that you can also with a taxi after higuey drive. Here is the life of the dominicans the market and see. Of course these excursions also from the tour operators offered on site.

We had a family room ( in principle nothing other as two double rooms), but with a connecting door. So had our daughter a room for itself and we. There was a king size bed, it is quite soft and after three weeks we were looking forward again on our bed. With our daughter there were two beds and you could sleep great. We had therefore also two terraces, two bathrooms, two refrigerators, etc. Furthermore there was a coffee machine, iron, ironing board in the closet, stoffbadeschuhe, bathrobe, hair dryer, more little extras, such as toothbrushes, duschshampoo, sunscreen, small sewing kit, etc. Our minibar is refilled everyday. Cola was always quite tight (also more expensive), it was so from time to time also times Cola light, well and water, Fanta, Sprite, apple juice and orange juice.

The food was great. There were always theme nights, everything was super well presented and decorated. Simply brilliant. For children there was a extra area ( exploreres club). There were pasta, fries, pizza, also delicious vegetables. Furthermore we were still in the Oceana, which at the beach is located, that means really beautiful view. The sea side grill was great, but long waiting time and with small child not so good. The portofino was from 18 years. The himitsu is from 6 years, there there also show cooking is done. Long pants were for men duty. Furthermore there was the world café, where most of the time we ate. The breakfast there is for all of them, except you are in the preferred club, then you can in the Oceana a certain selection for breakfast. We did it once and well were not so inspired. Much french toast, a fruit plates, well very sparse evenly. The world café better. Bars there are some. On sugar reef ( beach) there are two ( sugar reef bar and pool bar). Then the barracuda bar halfway from the lobby to the beach, the san domingo Plaza there is bar, the evenings opened and the lobby bar and theater bar. So everywhere there was always something to drink. And the mini bar in the hotel room is also refilled daily.

The service was immaculate. And they really tried hard. Of course was English urgently required, if you wanted or in our case complaints wanted. Unfortunately we had a few mishaps with the room. It was really great, but unfortunately we ran in the three weeks somehow everything was broken. Telephone, tv, clothesline in the bathroom, hängesitz on the terrace, lamp and even the door locks from both rooms. One has really try everything fast to repair, but the tv was generally one time per week broken. It was not tragic, since we anyway only from time to time times evenings 10 minutes before falling asleep watched. We had then also Aleks from TUI and it could also everything else in spanish clear up could. For us there were then also small snacks and brugal as compensation and at the end even 3 shirts from dreams. So, it was really hard to satisfy us. Cleaning of the rooms was very nice and every day a new towel figure solution. Unfortunately the English from the cleaning of the rooms not so good, but nice gestures have also handed. ;-)

There is the exploreres club for 3 - -year-old children. Ours was just 2.5 years, so there was this question. Unfortunately could nevertheless also the whole area not be used, although the playground on the grounds already good suitable for children from 2 years would be. That was unfortunately a pity. But nice was the area, as you from the outside could see. The children there are and the parents receive a buzzer, that means should be something, then the parents paged and then the child pick-up. The carers all speak English and spanish, that means German children have a bit difficult. But I am thinking, among child one understands oneself already somehow. Otherwise there is also the kids club at the beach, which was actually really beautiful from the play equipment is, but right down. The schaukeltiere are way too hot the set, because they the whole day in the sun are. The black rubber mats the there are, partly big holes and dye on the feet. Beach and pool are very nice, towels you always get in the towel center (right in the middle area of the pool on the way to the beach), furthermore one receives which at the beach and in the preferred club (if you booked). Well, the stones were not so nice in the water, once there were injuries, because a overlooked was. Left and right from the hotel beach it was really good. The entrance into the sea is not so flat, as the Turkey or other beaches knows, but it is not so, that one after 5 steps right under goes. We had in the July then still very much seaweed at the beach, which not always removed. Besides that is the beach but nice (not so know how on bavaro beach ), but nevertheless nice.

The hotel is a beautiful and large complex. Palm trees, fish, flamingos, ducks and two parrots, you from time to time looks. Altogether the hotel makes a clean and well maintained impression. From time to time one has nevertheless in the pool area a couple more fruit leftovers from the party glass found, straws, empty bottles of water or beer. But you have to say, that it housekeepers really not was missing and everything quite hard. While we were there, there were many americans, that is probably always sunday Canadians, English and russians we had met and 2 German families. The spa area was also very nice, at least if you're interested in something has. Of course, it was not cheap, however one time per week a massage had to be. :-O

The hotel lies all alone, that means many peace, except you party animals americans to 4 July (it was a exception:-O the next shops was around 10 to 15 minutes on foot away. Excursions you had many offered, horse riding, quad tour, circular flight helicopter, high sea fishing, etc. We were in the building 7 and had the same way to the beach, as to the main building. You had to walk a bit, but by the nice hotel was the also no problem.

We had a so-called family room: the are 2' deluxe '-room with a connecting door. Really recommendable: you thus has 2 bathroom, 2 minibars and (for those who need it) on 2 tv with dvd player. The beds (double or 2 single) are (typically american) huge. Apart from that is everything you need available: itself toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, coffee machine and even iron and -board. Size of the room is good enough. Cleanliness absolutely perfect. Because of the bad soundproofing (see above) 1 sun less.

There is a buffet restaurant and 5 à la carte restaurant, before 2 'open air' are. In one of them can additionally breakfast and lunch were eaten. Bars there are plenty of (at least 7). The food in the buffet restaurant was diverse and of good quality. However was the diversity from the Iberostar Bavaro not achieved. It was always immediately refilled, no one had to fear, a dish anything from. But some of which held, plates crowded to load, only to later most of the way to throw. Sad! The à la carte restaurant (italian from 18, mexican, chinese/japanese from 6, grill, fish) had feast menus and children's meals. However no reservation. We found great, so could you spontaneously plan. After 19:30 o'clock one must however on waiting times (you get a pager with) set. Cleanliness absolutely perfect: table-ware used was cleared immediately, for new guests with clean new tablecloth immediately set. In the restaurants we will you like in the USA usual-of a waiter to a free table. Nice. Bad look with the offer at the beach from: dot there is only a small grill with a few offered (burgers, hot dogs). Who at noon there more selection would like, must go into a restaurant and swimwear is taboo! So a sun less.

Great! Super friendly and helpful (sometimes almost too much...). There was nothing to to complain about. Those who complain about lack of knowledge of german in a hotel overseas complaining, which is imho not more to help.

There is a beautiful pool, through the whole complex extends. Several room on the ground floor booked directly access! The water depth is about 1 meter, to swim a little bit, however therefor there are the sea. To animation (didn't get to sample), kids club (ours had no desire ), disco (not our thing) i can't say. The evening shows (weekly programme) are however - not only from the effort - worth seeing. We knew in the form has not been. Internetzungs in the café or by wi-fi for my taste quite expensive (15 minutes; 4 $, 25 hours /6 days valid: 25 $). As i on vacation do not need, it was me but it didn't matter. To the beach and possibilities to do water sports i already reported. Protection from the sun and possibilities for showering are sufficiently available. But not loungers: they were already on the 8 hours tons by towel and so on reserved (strange, i thought so far, that this bad habit of us german is). Somehow i could always 2 loungers organize, but that was already burdensome and from the Iberostar Bavaro not used.

I must say, that we are 6 years in Punta Cana in the Iberostar Bavaro were. Several comparison refer to this hotel or the area, although these changed in the meantime may have. The hotel is already somewhat older date (see at height and density of fouling-the ' official ' pictures therefore not more so). However well maintained and absolutely clean! There is scarcely 600 room in 9 buildings (2 upper floors), in 2 rows left and right of the pool (later) each diagonal to the beach rows are. View of the sea even, whether the fouling probably only the rooms, where on as promised. But since one ' eh usually at the beach is, i find this redundant. It will be the in the area usual services offered (all inclusive catering, animation, evening entertainment, child care, water sports and so on), however without the guests with a bracelet to 'delight'! Hotel guests come mainly from Canada and the USA. Under the europeans mainly french and british, a few german. Result: without basic knowledge of the english language (spanish would of course be even better) by the majority of the staff a problem. A bit of a nuisance (we have in any case so) should not be overlooked: the lack of soundproofing. The building have all long corridors with (logically ) tiled floors, which for a sound damping less suitable are. Stupidly but the doors first right thin and secondly without poetry. If the lock pulled-which unfortunately the majority of the guests action-was the noise a gunshot similar. Not nice for people, that regularly for midnight sleep (like we). So a sun less.

The hotel lies a bit isolated in uvero alto; absolutely no comparison the bavaro beach, where miles a facilities at this next filled. East is located in approximately 500 meters away the 'nouvelles frontieres' (currently closed), west (about 3 kilometer) the 'sirenis' and probably again 2 kilometer further the' excellence '. In between a few - mainly vacant stalls-nothing else! Since the predominant majority of the guests on the complex remains, one can kilometres away at lonely beaches hiking, must however not partial verschutzungen of flutsaums by plastic (in the hotels naturally eliminated) disturb. Depending on accommodation you have up to a maximum of 400 meters to the beach to walk. Purchase nearby is rather bad: on the roads approximately 800 meters to the west there is a small shopping center (bank, souvenirs, bar, pharmacy, police and so on). And of course the usual shops in the hotel. There is everything quite expensive; the necessary things you should better bring your own or just to the center walk. Excursions as otherwise, however go under 100 $hardly somewhat. The beach is - as already told not know (coral sand) as in bavaro or in Karibik expected. It is rather the usual yellow; i would with Fuerteventura comparisons. It didn't bother me. In uvero old is the lying off reef far closer to the shore than in bavaro, partly. Less high. Because it furthermore a few flat sections are - the hotel lies in this-is the surf seemed heavy. For good swimmer not a problem. With small children you should definitely in the western part of the selection left. In the eastern part and before the selection there several rocks (corals), on which you could get hurt. They are however in the clear water well visible. Who would like to avoid directly go west from the hotel in the bay swimming: there is fine sand relaxation. Unfortunately also here a bit of a nuisance (what a sun costs): while our vacation the passat to the part. Quite steep. In the result, the wasserportaktivitäten (sailing, surfing, kayaking) set. we had a room on the highest floor (second floor) and were very satisfied. Beautiful views of the pool and the rooms large and very clean. Always nice decorated by the maids. Coffee machine, minibar and safe in the room. Flat screen and DVD Player also.

If something was missing that is not to help. Of freshly pressed smoothies and juices, as well as Champagne and fresh Omelets, Pancakes, Pancakes, fruit, various breads, pies, croissants and so on. For breakfast, about burger and salads and fish and many side dishes lunch to many theme buffets (caribbean, Mexican, Italian and so on) evenings. Everything tastes delicious. The nicest sits one then outside -much more comfortable and quiet as inside. The à-la-carte restaurants are recommended throughout. You have to nowhere advance, but is just comfortable at one of the lots of bars until one is called as soon as a place becomes free. Cocktails are all freshly prepared, anything before mixed. There are also many, the not on the menu. Also at cleanliness there is nothing to complain about. In all restaurants be for example the guests in the entry the hands disinfected.

great service from front desk, to bars and restaurants. Everything is quick, the service by the pool and at the beach was super. In the restaurants everything was quickly cleared away and for every guest the table completely newly set inclusive table cloths. All are very attentive. With English one comes great by.

super animation program over the whole day distributed. The entertainers are however not pushy at all. The pool is absolutely beautiful and conducted the whole complex. There are many beach chairs and Sonnenschutzhütchen, as well as Shady palms available.

After a tight hour drive was the hotel reached. Very nice tidy and attractive area. Impressive Lobby. Very nice Front desk-only times with sparkling wine. Extremely friendly employee in all hotel areas. Super attentive service without being pushy so, that one also gladly give a tip. Drinks service at the beach. About 90% of Americans and Canadians. The animation program is great-without embarrassing to-is also much used. You can but also quiet Corners look. The only thing problem the beach chairs, the gladly already in the morning at 6:00 reserved -by the Americans exactly like from the German. It should be but even what additional acquired.

if the weather is nice looks the beach almost exactly beautifully white as in Punta Cana and the water also beautifully Caribbean. In the wind however, one sees but, the Atlantic is. Very beautiful hotel area. Nestled in the countryside, not too big. Everything is easy to reach on foot. Wonderful pool area, however only about 1 year deep, but it from the main building ( front desk) to the beach across the complex, lined with palm trees, flowers and residential buildings. All inclusive also means all inclusive, except for the bottled wine is everything included in the price and is served from very friendly staff the hotel and the not only if you have a tip'waves'! It is also all kinds of alcohol selectable and not only locals Spirits. The a la carte restaurants you can without reservation visit. Guest structure in the January: 80% Americans, Canadians and at 5% and 15% mixed German. unfortunately is absent at the rooms. The deluxe room with garden view (building 6) was very shabby, smelled musty (waiters), was on the ground floor (ground floor) unfortunately, so it was very dark. We got a upgrade to a suite (building 8, first floor) for $70 per night purchase taken and we just felt comfortable.
