For the 3. time we are now in the mares and were this time but quite disappointed. The rooms, especially bathroom, are so worn out, the you actually no tourists more to garrison should. An example: when we arrived, wanted we urgently showers, but it was not possible, since the showering head in such a way calcified was, that the water only trickled came out! Was on the next day fixed, but in the 2. week came already again hardly any water. If the air conditioning longer in use is, smells it completely terrible musty and musty in the room. ... At the beach we could 3 days not into the water, because the 'river' between the paradisus hotel and the mares with all the sticky sewage into the sea was led. The food has since the last year slipping behind, there is really always only the same. And nobody can say: this is Cuba! The hotel belongs to a spanish chain, is under spanish management, i can already a little comfort! Also at the bars is saved: earlier there was still the good 'Santiago de Cuba'-rum. Meanwhile the cheapest from cheap rum used. You can also in the Aldi buy. The cubans forgiven only the faces and advise from, the drink. We had the bad luck, that around christmas time many canadians, english and now also increasingly russian drinking and chanting through the hotel drag. So in december i must there not any more! To the weather: also in Cuba is winter, that means, in the evening and morning it can quite cold his, so a light jacket is recommendable. In the 1. week we had also times rain and thick clouds, the 2. week provided then the sun by the cloudless sky. Conclusion: if the cuban staff not so kind and cares for the guests would be, we would not more by accident. read more

We were redirected to this resort as we landed in Cuba...for our first ever trip down south. The resort we were supposed to go to had renovation problems. But it was a pleasant stay...the food was fantastic! The service was really good...Some of the servers seemed less friendly than I would have expected but overall good treatment by all. My partner is physically disabled and although this resort was bigger than our original resort, it was very accessible but he became tired of the distance to travel. It was beautiful...simply beautiful. read more

We were thoroughly satisfied. What we want to recommend, the visit of the natural park. If you turn right from the hotel goes, it is exactly. It costs three CUC entrance, is really well laid out. The best way is to go after a shower of rain, then very many animals on the way. Unfortunately, the hotel was not on this. read more

We were in this hotel with three children (4.6, 8) arrived. The child care in the mini club is compared to Turkish resort bad. The offer at the breakfast buffet is laced with very cheap Lückenfüllern (meat dishes, pasta with sauce of choice in frontcooking, my grilled fish at the live cooking were too salty, shame, because we could from a large choice select, the octopus and the baked bananas were burned, the mango, however, world class) The French restaurant was great, the Italian restaurant in a visit, the second time, the international average) the staff was friendly to ... very friendly. Great, that the room safe is free. The leisure time facilities at the hotel were except for a few exceptions very good. A terrific show with water balett ardent us. We took excursions in the horse-drawn carriage (15 CUC) after guardalavaca, to holguin with the classic cars (day trip, 60 CUC), as well as to Santiago de Cuba, Havanna with the bus. In Havanna Habitacion we had a family room with two rooms booked, which we did not get, we slept with five people in four beds, the flight home in the evening after hours of waiting period has been cancelled and the early morning of the next day moved. This meant to 4.30 get up!). The show at the Tropicana this year was very Afro-pleased us Cuba. We bought souvenirs for a fraction of the hotel prices in holguin, Guradalavaca and Havana. Contrary to the recommendations of the guide had the Canadian children all their game boys, pad, iphones, etc. there. Our room at the mares (2065, la Hispaniola) had a great balcony with sea view. The hotel is a good place to stay in Cuba, confirmed what us also our guide. The cleanliness of the restaurant was (at the tables) but not always good. Often one had dirty tablecloths from the previous person on the place. With small corrections could be a much more immediate vicinity nice and produce. I personally take the view that you could make the diversity of food or what. Just consider whether a theme in the main restaurant or each day can. We had a broken by finishing (the can of course happen) change our room without problems what worked. ... The staff was always friendly, what with the long working hours is not always a matter of course. Best however is the white sandy beach, like us many tourists and staff have confirmed, a Cuba is the most. Of course it is also time with worth the katha maran out on the sea to drive. It has a beautiful view on the bay and the hotel. All in all it was a beautiful holiday, with small drawbacks, but the one in Cuba must just take into account. read more

For cuban standards, a luxury hotel, very good price/performance ratio, beautiful beach, even small reef for snorkeling available. We would not hesitate to stay there again. read more

The us has fallen holiday, we could get away and beautiful us felt well cared. The standards on Cuba are, of course, not as high as in Europe, but despite all the hotel was along with Antlage and staff good. And if you gave the cleaning lady or the waiters from and to a peso has given, one was treated very accomodating. read more

Nice, courteous staff; buffet restaurant: great choice of food, live cooking; theme restaurants: great atmosphere, good food; drinks: extensive selection at the bar's and restaurant, delicious cocktails, wide range of different cocktails (served in glasses-not as in many all-inclusive hotels in plastic cups; sometimes there was no straws (heavy with mojito); room: big enough, everything in it: satellite TV-refrigerator, relatively blow air conditioning, safe, ironing board and iron, huge bed (B = 2.50 m), great view (at least on the third floor), two bottles of water every day, complaint: the bathroom not more on the newest condition (some cracked ... tiles in the bathroom, fixtures tarnished); beach: 'as from the picture book beach' white, palm trees and door gravel blue water, enough beach chairs and beach towels, two bars on the beach, hotel Rio de Oro see rich underwater world; area in general: well-kept condition, the bikes included should be replaced, however, is a bit far from the 'real' Cuba you get as good as nothing with read more

We were on the condition and age of the resort surprised. The outdoor and indoor area was cleaned every day (it was what to find). The buildings are in a good condition, small Reaparaturen were carried out without the we us felt hampered. New balcony railings and Fusleisten in the outdoor area were changed, old were made of wood and something broken. My wife and I would not hesitate to go there again, we were in the back part of the area room 71xx on the ground floor and had a maximum of 150 steps away from the beach. The ... beach was great and the staff was friendly and courteous. read more

The hotel consists of the Luna and the mares. Facilities for disabled guests, as well as bars can be used in two parts. Two pools available. Snack bars were always open, what I in other hotels also already experienced differently. Staff was friendly and nice. Spanish can is clearly at an advantage if, as almost nobody spoke German. Highlight for us was the beach, the sea (as on the postcard) and the food in the main dining room. There is everything, what the heart desires and the Cubans never to face including a grill you could beef, fish grilled can ..., among other things. Queue is unfortunately not avoid. Typically cuban courts have we unfortunately missed. Entertainment is offered, as well as an evening program. As the hotel in the Pampa lies there, the leisure facilities were limited something. Transportation situation is extremely bad. Taxi to holguin costs about 45 to 55 CUC per person. The room was large, with view of the ocean without surcharge, but the bath (fixtures) a disaster. The shower was falling apart. Safe and TV were available. Cleanliness was for kub. languages was very good. Towels were changed. Conclusion: good price/performance ratio, in the age of the hotel the one account with must. Ten more days I would stay but not, as I would rather go through the country visit Cuba. read more

The room are something worn _ the water for showering was something on the room it is sparse-radio, TV with German channels, fridge, safe free, each day a large bottle of water, large comfortable bed. the garden is amazing. you can eat and drink all day and night and it was no trash! Small shopping center. zigg arene. money exchange tube, to home-the dollar can only bring euros to dollars on cup are at least 20% penalty to-great beach very clean! It is a small library on the beach you can rent golf chess games and S, W, The staff ... is always helpful, the diversity of food and beverage choices the gesschmack I would give the highest score! read more

It was a nice holiday to. Much nicer than we have expected, but remember please a little soap, ballpoint pens, cigarette lighters or base forward. The people are really grateful and had. You need no Dolar exchange, are popular. What you may not forget, the hotel is really old. You are about to renovate and if you have a room in the pitch near a building room to get, just go to reception and still change. Everything is no problem. Do just a couple of nice days and not vergest your bathing shoes, if it was on the side of ... the beach on the small Hausrif diving want to go. read more
