The Tivoli Marina Portimao is a really great hotel, the especially because his great location offers. The smallest detail is here and there not 'home' feel. In the climatised reception area with free internet available. Wireless internet access on request available. Best no laptop, the safe is too small - alternatively at the front desk camps. There are on the large grounds constantly golf Cars around, stop and go is usually-bit of a walk but probably not. read more

    The rooms are big enough, decently furnished and perfectly suitable for a south-west european-vacation hotel. Not so nice: they are quite noisy. If you don't need to know, who with who, why or why not-then ohropax in the baggage.

    Tip: half board. The breakfast buffet is absolute standard, everything plentiful and hardly anyone not to find something suitable. Is really great the dinner. Here there is for all the booked half board, no merely standard hotel buffet, but each guest selects the menu-drinks cost extra. The restaurant is worthwhile definitely and once on vacation you should eat.

    Room cleanliness the hotel has not straight on the incumbency, but for a small amount (0,30-0,70 Euro on day) cleaning the ladies tidy (and then daily). The staff speaks decent english, so that one ask them anything and explained what you need to know.

    Directly at the castle high it is very touristy, much nicer it is in the other direction to the harbor. In the streets there was also plenty restaurants and it's not so very crowded. At the beach you eat well and it is cheaper than on the promenade above. Rent a car and monchique also drive to the hinterland. The gps simply 'tollbooths avoid' type, the pay motorway bypass and enjoy the landscape. In a typical portuguese restaurant with the locals for lunch. They were, if you in your language-with a bit of english one usually but also further. A trip on the other side of the Rio Arade after ferragudo is worthwhile. All other in the area well-known trip goals are also 'a must'. Sagers, cabo de sao vicente with the ' last bratwurst prior to Amerika', Lagos - grotto, luz, or just one of the many golf courses-a round of play or just enjoy the view and a coffee in the clubhouse drink for only a couple possibilities to name but a few.

The hotel complex consists of smaller, two-story hauseinheiten, the studios and apartments house. This open up the view of either the inner pool area or directly at the promenade, beach, or sea. The studios and apartments are spacious, bright and stylishly decorated. The hotel is directly at the very nice, very well-kept beach of portimao, near the marina, and offers two on-site restaurants, and several bars. In walking distance of the hotel there is a ... variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The city center is 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the hotel away. The hotel was in the last few years several well-known tourism-organizers, -portals and magazines excellent. With good reason: because the very nice hotel with restaurants, bars, swimming pools, play area and lounge areas from a friendliness, courtesy and customer orientation outstanding team managed and cared for! read more

    We had for our stay a studio, the hallway, bathroom, a large bedroom with a kitchenette and a balcony with a view of the river, to the marina and to the sea stock. The studio was bright and spacious, the furnishing stylish and practical together.

    At the time of our visit were one of the two restaurants and a construction open. All offered meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner – were in selection and quality of the breakfast was very good. International dishes offered the kitchen also very good local dishes such as bacalhau. The wine and beer list, not alcoholic beverages, cocktails and spirits were well stocked and in the quality – as far as we have tried-excellent.

and great hotel. And optically responding building. ( smaller 'townhouses') And good location ( at the Algarve general and in town) And friendly staff. And beautiful restaurant. And very good breakfast buffet. And fantastic dinner for non-vegetarians. ( buffet, few guests menu) And massive room ( studio) ~ weather beginning November: 5 days with approximately 20 °C. 2 days rain with mild 17 °C ~ hard mattress, but not uncomfortable - optical deficiencies at the end the peak season ( furniture, chairs in the restaurant, missing microwave with ugly hole in the closet) - public buses only recommended only with ... restrictions, since the communication partly very difficult is (taxi for a short distance until 10 kilometer and hired car however very recommendable) In short: the hotel we would again visit! read more

We stayed for 4 weeks an apartment with breakfast in the Tivoli Marina in portimao booked and were very satisfied, the hotel is located at arade and has its own marina, the apartment was clean and functional microwave toaster 2 plates icebox tv a bit dated (black and white tv) for 4 stars wasn't currently safe free of charge, the breakfast was good the rich selection. For the rental car are free carports in the underground garage available. Shops in portimao are easy to reach and also here sufficiently free parking available. read more

The hotel was very pleasant. A very nice view from everywhere. Very friendly staff. Bar opened in November unfortunately already at 24 o'clock to. Breakfast was very good. Dinner nothing for high expectations. read more

We wanted from the dreary days in autumn Germany out, and before the forthcoming winter again somewhat soak up the sun. This is also excellent managed, because in Portugal was even in October a weather, as it normally only in high summer is possible. The Tivoli Marina Poritmao, was for a 1-week stay exactly the right hotel, because here you can without any problems immediately settle down. Already after 1 day, we felt, as if we already much longer here. The complex is very spacious, and the paths are partly very long. The rate, however, we as a positive, because ... these ways are after or before the meal times very relaxing. If you don't want to walk, you can in any case by electric road vehicle by the complex 'dump' leave. The beach we didn't use, but it is almost right around the corner. All told it is a complex, in which you really be comfortable can. read more

The location of the hotel is reasonable, however the buildings very far apart. On the first glance works everything clean and tidy, however the hotel complex has gotten old. Bathroom and toilet are perfect, the kitchenette clean, the bedroom to the street loud but okay., however the sofa bed as such in a suite to offer an isolence (75 centimeter wide). The breakfast buffet is good and varied, the staff are friendly and helpful. The bathing beach according to location about 200 to 300 meters away. Good restaurants you will find enough and manifold on the strandmeile or in praia ... da rocha. read more

. Unfortunately has one it not created the beauty of the beaches and the coast to receive... Everywhere only dying komerz... Only delicious sardines (5 piece in the average 6,50 Euro) no soltan survival... Unfortunately certainly were the beaches / coast in the region sometime very nice. read more

The hotel is OK, if you only unhitch I would like. What's annoying, is: The Clairaudience in the rooms The cleanliness of the rooms The odor the industriehafen just in the morning quite unpleasant The breakfast was also okay, but you had to be there early otherwise there was much, there the staff simply understaffed. Was good, the proximity to the beach and the hotel street on this you could evenings look and stay. The view of the sea is wonderful. read more

Wonderful apartment complex in too many very good state. Very clean and spacious rooms with air-conditioning, TV (also German channels) and safe against deposit. Kitchenette with a fridge, plates and kettle. Large selection of food, especially recommendable the freshly made waffles and omelets. Bars and restaurants nearby, as well as small stores for shopping. Playa da Rocha about minutes distance, very fine and clean sand. Recommendable is a trip to Lagos, with the taxi/ bus to Portimao train station and then for ~3 €per person in 20 minutes by train to Lagos. Beautiful lively city with a very large beach ... on the one hand, and more wonderful beaches ( small bays ) on the other side. Can only recommend the hotel, for the price ( with us 500 Euro per 10 days per person) there is little so good four star hotels to the large and impersonal hotels include. read more

The hotel fits very well into the port facility a, as it's only 2 floors has. In the town itself you only see the huge hotel complexes. One sees but also, that the hotel but getting quite old is. The hotel management could once again some money into the grounds invest (for example. Pvc porch). Over the cleanliness we can't complain, so far everything was okay. We only booked with breakfast, which rich. It was everything available. The guests were german, dutch, french, english and spanish. Average age was 30-40 years. read more

    The rooms are big enough and bright. But also noisy, because our neighbor has very geschnorcht.     Because we only booked breakfast had, we can the restaurant nothing to say. The breakfast was enough for us.     The staff at reception are very friendly and are willing to help. But without english knowledge is nothing at all. All requests were immediately dealt with. The staff in the restaurant is also very friendly. Are always anxious, dirty dishes quickly from the table to clear. Sometimes but also too quickly. The rooms were always to our satisfaction cleaned. Only the balcony was a bit neglected.

    The hotel fits very well into the port facility a, as it's only 2 floors has. In the town itself you only see the huge hotel complexes. One sees but also, that the hotel but getting quite old is. The hotel management could once again some money into the grounds invest (for example. Pvc porch). Over the cleanliness we can't complain, so far everything was okay. We only booked with breakfast, which rich. It was everything available. The guests were german, dutch, french, english and spanish. Average age was 30-40 years.

    The hotel is located in a small harbor. To the beach one runs between 5 and 10 minutes is important, where you is housed, because the hotel in several complex is divided into. We were in the rear part, which we not at all didn't bother. Because after good breakfast was the walk very pleasant and you could relax in peace, the yachts in the harbor to look at and fish and crabs watch. Shopping and entertainment are really close by. It is simply the many stages an old fortification up and one is already there, where one to be would like. In the shopping-and verknügungsmeile. We had Germany from a car rented, which we at the airport after the arrival picked up. Finally in a bus and get to a final guest wait. The drive from the airport Faro to portimao about 80 minutes, since we only highway drove. Highway quicker but it costs toll.

A really big, but flat kept and rather in the wide pulled hotel. The buildings are merely two-story-therefore it was very nice to look at-and on the whole marina distributed. The hotel looks very modern and is clean. It has very small lack of beauty, but really do not disturb and the southern countries already nearly normally are. It is in the body of the hotel a large saltwater pool, and a children's pool, as well as in the side building ( in the back area of marina) a small saltwater pool. We had merely breakfast option. The hotel can ... however also with half board be booked. During our stay were mostly English ( the pleasant sort ), dutch, portuguese and German present. Everybody was civilized, quiet and pleasant ' fellow guests'. read more

    The rooms are huge and nice designed. We had a small kitchenette, the practically equipped was. A pot more would have however not hurt. A kettle for the tea/coffee making facilities was available. As well as a large fridge, the with a few drinks ( at a charge) refilled was. The bathroom is relatively large and nice and bright. Also the balcony ( we were in the lower floor) is relatively very big. The balcony in the upper floor rather small, but sufficient. It is next to a chest of drawers and a large closet, in the safe is housed. The safe is free. One must at the front desk only a deposit for the key amount of 10 €deposit, which of course in handing over of the key again you got back. The safe itself will ultimately with a eight -figure numeric code served (with the key you turn on the safe inside merely free). On the dresser at the bed there was a small fernsehapperat. Not very big, but for a one time vacation enough. We could beside the foreign channels also ARD, ZDF, RTL, super RTL, Arte and satellite. 1 received. The air conditioning works perfectly and made possible also with hot temperatures a pleasant sleep.

    We only the breakfast buffet learned, but this was really top! There was everything that your heart could desire: Muesli and kelloggs, different sausage and cheese, fresh fruits ( cut and piece), a warm buffet ( scrambled eggs with and without ham, bacon, beans and small sausages, croquettes or kartoffelröstis, hot vegetables or mushrooms), freshly cut cucumber and tomatoes, shredded carrots and green lettuce, a variety of breads, rolls and toast, cakes, muffins, croissants, as well as marmalade, orange juice, tropicalsaft, apple juice etc. ( right juices - no syrups!) , water and various coffees at the automat (by douwe egberts). Really great were also-on their own wish - freshly prepared omelets and waffles. The breakfast we miss already :-)

    Free towels for the pool and beach, information on public transportation, order of a water taxis to ferragudo - the staff at reception are very accommodating and helped always farther. However it is not wrong, if you a bit of English can speak. Knowledge of German had only very few staff. The staff in the morning was very on the ball. The waiters were only on the' bustle around', the used plates and mugs cleared, the tables for further guests prepared and the breakfast buffet constantly refilled. Top! There is employee, the guests with golfcaddies drive through the area ( to the rooms or to the beach). The cleaning of the rooms was done well. Not perfect, but pretty much the, what I expect from the southern countries are used. Change of towels was with us (, although not required) daily. The teabag and instantkaffeepäckchen in the room were regularly refilled. The dishes were unfortunately not at all washed-which also not further tragic would be, if at least liquid available would have been.

    The pools simple, but nice. The main pool very big and with sea water filled. The pool in the side building is relatively small, but for the quantity of people the use it absolutely sufficient. It is in the body of the hotel a large pool bar, as well as in the side building a smaller pool bar. The pool bar we have however only once used ( on the day of arrival, as we still on our room had to wait) as the prices rude. The reviews other guests are here really not exaggerated. We have merely have a beer drunk and were directly times 10 €los -5 €per beer. So price I know rather touristenstädten in Germany! Only times as a comparison: a beer in one of the restaurants at the beach costs just 2a maximum 2,50 Euro. An animation we didn't use. We have the pool however also only twice for one hour. The sea is of course much better! The chairs and screens were at the main pool better we in the side building.

    The hotel lies at the edge of portimao, directly at the respectively in the marina. Side runs the Rio Arade ( view of the large beach and the castle of ferragudo), the front of the hotel is the praia da rocha. We found the location than absolutely perfect. Quiet and nevertheless close to all the action. One is within a very short time the very broad sandy beach or on the main shopping street ( the stairs at the fortress high). If you to the beach with the beautiful rock formations would (direction praia da vau), must one somewhat further to run (20 to 30 minutes), this is however problem-free over the shopping street (above) and the seafront (from wood/down) possible. We were in the back area of the hotel accommodated. Here you have 10 minutes more time, but with the offered view really not bad - otherwise do a bit of exercise nevertheless also times really good and on vacation one time :-)

Really nice hotel with super -beach around the corner. We have for 5 days a standard - room with breakfast booked. Upon arrival they told us, that we got a upgrade on a superior -room with view of the harbor received. The breakfast we have to have a beautiful outdoor terrace also with view of the harbor-restaurant. It was really everything very varied: juices, coffee machine (even with Cappuccino), delicious small croissants, rolls, bread, toast, pastries, muesli, yoghurt, fresh delicious fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages beans, different vegetables warm, cheese, sausage, sheep cheeses. Freshly prepared were on the terrace omeletts ... and waffles. It was a thoroughly mixed clientele present. German, dutch, English, french, americans. Children were as good as not present. We had almost always sunny weather, 26 to 28 °C, water about 21 degrees. Once a bit of rain, so this was only in the morning. read more

    The superior room was nice and big, with beautiful terrace to the harbor. The standard rooms were not so nice: to the pool and with much smaller, quaint terrace. So it is worthwhile really a superior room with view of the harbor to book. Safe was in our room even free available. The bathroom was okay. And clean. Unfortunately was not every day the coffee in the coffee machine renewed. Despite hinterlegtes tip for the cleaning lady.

    The beautiful beach praia da rocha was right around the corner. It is very fine sandy, wide and there are several good small reasonably priced restaurants directly at the beach. Particularly we liked immediately at the start the atlantico and or farol. Sangria is here also very tasty. Directly next to the hotel at the port there is a large restaurant area with many various flavors. Also not as expensive. One should definitely the free parking garage, if you like we rental car there is.

We had a rental car the free of charge in the underground garage turned off-at temperatures around the 25 degrees is the very pleasant if the interior not aufheizt. The wohnmöbel are a little worn, but we didn't mind. For this it was clean-what we important find. read more

    The distance to the beach was for us a bit further as we in nordgebäude were, but if one comfortably on foot it was not more than 15 minutes, there were also some restaurants, small kiosk and bars. Is one then already times at the beach one must only a little strenuous stairs and there, there are a little lively center with further supermarkets, restaurants and bars.

There hotel is no block, but a large complex directly by the yacht port. Therefore the paths are sometimes a bit far, depending on location of the room. Everything clean and tidy. We had booked accommodation with breakfast, you can but also half board choose. The guests were mixed, German, portuguese, dutch. Very pleasant. read more

    We had a studio on the first floor on the other side the Marina. Very big with a small kitchenette and beautiful bath. The balcony is unfortunately somewhat small, room for 2 chairs. On the ground floor much bigger. For breakfast the main hotel around 5 minutes away on foot, but you can also at the front desk call and get it.

    The location is great. Portimao itself is not beautiful site since only skyscrapers. Only the pedestrian precinct at the sea with many restaurants and shops is evenings nice for strolls. The hotel lies on the edge of town, in 5 minutes one is however on foot at the sea ( depending on location of the room). You can go shopping in lots of small supermarkets, here is the small directly at the stairs before it go up into town, recommendable. Or you can go to shopping center in the city or on the edge of town direction highway.
