Great beach vacation, rather worse hotel

The rooms are very small. With a double bed, desk and smaller closet is the room already full. With the freedom of movement was it then already. Air conditioning is available but with 8 €on the day be paid separately. A fridge was, although described in the catalog, not available. Extremely annoying is the clairaudience the room. The staff in the lobby very unfriendly and not helpful. We have our room key and then 10 minutes our room searched, because the staff no foreign languages knew and didn't want it to show us. Within the entire week no information. Any begrüßungsformen, even if you itself first greets were abolished. Room was not sufficiently cleaned, bed sheets never changed. Air conditioning and fridge cost each 5€ extra on the day, (hidden price, you had been not informed). The pastry at the breakfast is not enjoyable and if you during dinner time left, then the dessert not more, because ... the staff the clean up is. read more

We are as a couple in the Hotel Sciaron well experienced. Beach and sea super, however on foot of about 15 minutes. It is from the hotel a free shuttle service provided. We had a hired car already at home from rented and were thereby also flexible. Restaurants and shops outside of the hotel are thin on the ground, but available. We booked half board, what our purposes more than sufficient. The food was good and sometimes really good and always plentiful. The head waiters were always friendly and correct. The room was plentifully limited and always clean cleaned, daily ... 6 fresh towels. The pool we didn't use, the but it looked always clean well maintained. All together we have a very nice holiday around the Capo VATICANO excellent. If, s fits we will once again in Hotel Sciaron check in. read more

Smaller hotel on a hill above St. Maria di ricadi. Beautiful view of the bay of St. Maria and the cap vaticano and if the haze allows also on the äoli islands of the hotel terraces and the rooms the main building with balconies on the seaside %blank%. Pleasant mostly older guests from britain and Germany. read more

Hotel is well-kept impression. Double room with a small balcony. Furniture, tv, fridge, air conditioning ok. Bathroom very clean, towels, beds and bed sheets ok. Guests mainly italians about 90%, only couple German and Sweden. We booked half board, breakfast and dinner. Meal times evenings inconvenient 20:00 until: o'clock. Additional cost 12,00 Euro per day: air conditioning 5,00 Euro, safe 2,00 Euro, fridge 5,00 Euro. Very well maintained pool area with chairs for all.

In July we were one week in Hotel Sciaron and really great there:-)
Positive:
Very good food the every day switch.
- we had a nice large room with bath
- every day was the room completely cleaned (it was absolutely nothing the Predecessors in the room to find-) )
- towels and towels are daily by a freshly washed replaced-)
Great view from the hotel on the sea and Sicily.
The sea is 400 meters way. But it drove there in the morning to lunch and in the afternoon to evenings a free hotel own bus ... the hotel guests to the beach and back.

- many leisure offers like for instance drive to Sicily, raft or Stromboli by night a active Volcano Watch
One speaks in the hotel German-)-) but also English and Italian.
Rooms have a free tv is although it is only three channels ZDF ARD and ProSieben but that is my opinion, since one usually only outside spend-)

Negative which more on the area refers than on the hotel itself
Hotel safe costs 2 Euro per day, fridge and air conditioning 5 Euro per day, Wi-Fi 10 Euro per week. But you have only pay if you in the hotel to book. We have only the safe and the WiFi booked.
One must on the departure day the room at 10 o'clock leaving. We so at 16 o'clock with the airport transfer abgeholte you sit 6 hours in the lobby of the hotel and must wait.
The surrounding Resturans had a lot of high prices: there were 2 pizzas with 2 Cola 30 Euro! Since you have an Besteckgebühr pay must, fall for that alone 6 Euro at for 2 people and the cutlery you should of course not carry forward! Cola 0.33 millilitre costs 6 Euro!
Therefore only in the hotel eat what you booked and on foreign food

Very nice and very well maintained complex, the staff very nice and the well-being of the guests hard. The location with the dreamlike view compensated for a lot. The rooms are however so paper thin, that could not sleep, especially if English guests in the house home. In the morning at 7:30 o'clock be loudly stairs cleaned, so that a alarm clock for breakfast not necessary. The dining hours are a disaster (7:00 until 9:00 o'clock and 19,30-9:00 P. M.). In the morning way too early and evenings too late!
Somewhat more toleration with ... recreation needs by management regarding these times appropriate.
The breakfast buffet was very monotonous and not healthy. The dinner was however very varied. Particularly the calabrian specialty dinner and many appetizers at the other days were very good. In 34 °C in the shade the air conditioning in the room and the mini fridge for 5.00 Euro per day extra must book, is an impertinence! Night window open was impossible, since it from mosquitoes and we the first nights shreds were. read more

All around a lovely vacation. Great location of the hotel with a magnificent view. Pool and loungers-umbrella perfect.
Very good food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness and laundry respectively change of towels very good.
A great stay with a good value for money.
A little negative is us unfortunately in the otherwise very decent performance the following notice.

We had a lovely relaxing time. Got up to speed with the walking !! Train network excellent from Ricardi, and very reasonably priced. All the locals were very friendly and made us feel most welcome. A special commendation must be made to Samantha and Adrian... they made meal times a real pleasure. read more

The location of this hotel was breathtaking but it was a little remote. Consider hiring a car if you are not a great walker; no local buses and even the train station was 2 kms away. A different Italy. read more

A very nice hotel, but very remote. The next shopping possibilities are on foot in 20 minutes or more away. The grounds of the hotel is very nice, a sufficient pool awaits guests. A children's pool is not available. Friendly staff, but some problems with the German language. The cleanliness of the hotel is good. The rooms okay, the size of the bathroom is not enough, however. There is no space to put such as toiletries. The beach is difficult on a winding road. However, there is a shuttle bus that regularly drove to. The food was in the low ... season sufficient and good. The antipasti menu is most warmly recommended. There was a coffee machines, their drinks were good. Juice dispenser at the breakfast was the my opinion only. The selection was not large. My opinion is, that it is scarcely possible without a rented low season car activities carried out. The buses are hardly or not at all. In the high season the looks would expect. A rental car is highly recommended. However, one must adapt to the typical Italian. In larger cities such as Messina (Sicily) you should be very capable of driving safely. The service was given in any case, we felt very comfortable in it. Furthermore, the weather was very pleasant. read more

the hotel lies on a Mountain. For a relaxing vacation super, who however only a small want to see a little of the area without a car stranded. We had no car in addition booked and therefore the first day on foot the area explored. You can decide either one kilometer up the hill or walk down to the beach. If you walk down the hill you can get a small beach( however not the hotel). Are here a few small restaurants, you should however be careful where you sat. In a restaurant it is normal some of the tables ... with comfortable chairs and on the other Page plastic tables and chairs. We stayed for the comfortable chairs and could direct ponying up. Downstairs there was a small kiosk, the however she never clear, when we were down there. In the evening we have decided to walk up the hill again, there are also a few small restaurants and a supermarket, which was quite cheap. We then on the second day we decided a car to rent, which also not at all so expensive and definitely very useful. So we could really see a bit of the country. The hotel was completely okay. The room was sufficient only a little bit badly soundproofed. At the front desk a German Mrs. This was always very friendly and helpful. Otherwise but you can see really old, if you don't Italian can. German spoke otherwise no choice and the English of most employees is also very limited. But nevertheless one can inform oneself with hands and feet. The food is really Italian. There is a buffet, with cold appetizers and salad. Furthermore you can evenings two courses to choose. In the appetizer and in which main course you can choose between 2-3 meals each. If you come to the hotel's own beach, you could actually only with the hotel's own bus and this is an adventurous drive. All together it was a great vacation, however only by the rental car, since we therefore very a lot the country saw. Without a hired car it would be quite boring former, if you definitely not at 35 degrees in the shade want to walk a few miles. The hotel was OK. read more

The stay in this hotel was satisfactory, I always say 'main clean' -but is very at the dinner, with the we after the third night 'contracted out' are rather decent Italian food in the neighboring town with a very good wine have enjoyed, I can only advise everyone. The breakfast is sufficient, it is:-)The rooms are very basic and small and noisy, but there was everything you could need. We had the whole vacation on a car-I can only recommend to everyone, without a car you are a bit lost and you only get a small percentage of actual ... life with. I can recommend this hotel to anyone wants to explore the beautiful countryside and just to sleep, for a pure vacation it is not suitable. read more

We can highly recommend this resort German tourists in the off season thoroughly. The receptionist really is for all needs the Victoria ideal contact: she speaks fluent German, is very welcoming and extremely professional. Unfortunately the coffee in the breakfast area-it is never actually always long queues and excuses, why it worked again not today. The starters buffet is not always refilled and run on the few dessert is unpleasant. The drink prices are reasonable: 1, 5 l water = 1.60, 1/2 liters of wine = four The whole area is so clean, that was kept very clean. At ... the pool and on the beach is always a free beach chair and umbrella to get. Only the very loud entertainment has really bother us Italian. read more

The location of the hotel is small drawbacks all forget. Food was very good and varied. The staff is friendly and competent. The two waiters in the restaurant (of which a perfect German) have occasionally their private fun, what annoying can.
The whole restaurant area, reception is newly renovated and very welcoming.
The room was OK but really small. Some to the bed is still a meter and the was it. Extra charge for safe Euro 2, -/ day is OK, but Euro 5, -/ day for the fridge was a daring (we have not used). In the bathroom, quite ... clean is that, it is a lack of storage space, just also due to reasons of space.
Generally is in calabria May still not the beginning of a lot going on. The majority of restaurants and shops to the hotel are still closed. The blooming landscape and largely empty beaches are breathtaking but to this time.
A rental car is there to stay-basic (the Avis station can be reached to foot in about 20 minutes from the hotel).
To the beach it was about 500m, it is but also a complimentary shuttle service from the hotel. read more

A nice and clean hotel. Our room was big enough, clean and cool (we have no time to switch the air conditioning). The staff is friendly, speaks hardly German or a but it english. The food has good, the drinks were always cool beautiful. Crystal Meerrwasser, Sun (30 °C) and clean beaches including the beautiful nature. really great!
The only downside: in the place it was no entertainment opportunities! One is on the means of transport such as a car or a motorbike/scooter dependent. On the buses you should not leave (according to the travel agency).
The price/performance ratio is ... simply great! Always again with great pleasure! read more
