During our Sri Lanka round trip we had to one night in this hotel spend. Like so lots of hotels in Sri Lanka are some rooms renovated and other not. We had unfortunately no luck in a room with ancient facilities in the colonial style, what actually is great. Unfortunately were the furniture absolutely phrase, the paint of the room indefinable and the bathroom for 15 years not more renovated. The cleanliness was in the entire room a 6, the bed was okay. Since we for one night do not annoy wanted to have we of a complaint apart. The ... worst was however a musty smell, which at night after longer use of the airconditioning materialise. It was afterwards so extremely, that we the complex turned off. Then was sweat announced. The whole complex is well laid out, the service of front desk and bar was perfect, in the restaurant it is easy hecticness on. read more

Really comfortable hotel with a view of the sigirya cliffs but far off of the shot.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is of tour groups busy.

We were there during the round trip here 2 nights. The hotel has a great location with magnificent view the rocks.
The room was clean and modern furnished, with double bed, flat -tv, safe, kettle. The bathroom is big enough.
The food was of a good quality and you had a good choice. The beverage prices are normal (wine however like everywhere overpriced). Have fun we had at the bar, good selection of cocktails.
The pool made also a good impression, although due to the our stay not used.
We loved it here and this hotel we could recommendable without ... a doubt. read more

We were as a part of our Sri Lanka round trip 2 days in this hotel.
When we our room entered smelled it strongly after mold, also after repeated air not from the room went. This is for us a no-go and everything was overshadowed.
The room was neglected, the bed sheet meadows dirty places.
Safe went only after rückinfo with the service.
The nice location with a view of the rocks hidden the whole. Because the hotel in the 'jungle' is, you need to get enough against mosquitos protect.
The dishes were good and sufficient.
We can't recommend this ... hotel and have the tour operator pointed out. read more

A medium-sized hotel in a peaceful location, very clean and in a reasonably good condition. A hotel, where consistently only round trip guests stay. Unique the view before the pool on the löwenfelsen. Flaws in the room taken care of immediately. No warm water, room exchanged, not a problem. Kitchen, whether it was breakfast or dinner was very good. read more

The hotel is in a nice location with a great view, right on the Sigiriya rock ( Löwenfelsen ) located.
We were thrilled by this hotel. Was during our round trip one of our most beautiful hotels. We spend during our round trip 2 nights and were very satisfied.
The staff, the service, the cleanliness and food are very commendable. Funny to see the Affenhorde on the roofs. The restaurant is with Networks because of the animals protected.
The food is very diverse, rich and tastes very good and from the staff we couldn't say anything bad, always friendly and ... speedy. We loved, that it tv and safe, as well as kitchenette in the room was.
Recommended for the use on a round trip. read more

For the inspection of sigirya very well situated, a bit cheaper than the village hotel and in our opinion more than adequate. The pool with view on the rocks is beautiful, just across the lots of trees a bit dirty.
The rooms are very nicely renovated, the bathroom somewhat easier however reasonable.
Very pleasant we were surprised by the very good dinner, the rather 4.5 star standard. We can recommend the hotel. Had it with the tours with half board booked, there was the cheapest read more

Directly on the Sigiriya rock located with wonderful view point.
Great atmosphere.
We spent during our round trip 2 nights there and it was really very satisfied.
Service and food are really a force.
The free animation the many monkeys the on the grounds live and on the roofs romp around is worth seeing.
Cleanliness is typical of the country okay even if some animals in the room had.
All in all a great hotel the I in any case would book again in an instant. read more

Well equipped hotel in the immediate area the objective of Sigiriya rock (lion rock ).
Recommended for the use on a round trip.
If you have an early enough arrives, you can enjoy the pool alone enjoy. Tour buses come generally in the late afternoon at. Evenings the restaurant is generally well visited.

The hotel lies very good great view.
The food is great, demanding, extensive and with show cooking.
The rooms lie to the inner courtyard ( so no view), are noisy but OK.
Tv and safe, as well as kitchenette in the room.
Hair dryer available.
Although we had a Ameisestraße in the room but the time not. A gecko us on the blanket business. But this was immediately replaced. read more

Hotel area is very pleasant. Large and partly shady.
the condition is typical of the country, not over styled, but very original. The rooms are simple, rather dark, as the ground floor and many trees.

We spent two nights as part of a tour in this hotel spent. The room has the charm the early eighties. The cleanliness of the furnishings in the entire hotel has a lot of space for improvement. To the extent that would the complex in our view, be renovated. The doubt without nice view over the pool to the Sigiriya rock will not help to improve the rather modest Gesamteindrucks. read more

View of pool on the mountain in the clouds girls. The rooms were very spacious, unfortunately you can't open the Windows because of the monkeys never. On our tour we stayed two nights in the hotel Sigiriya. Great view from the pool to the lion mountain. Staff very helpful, the room was very clean, the dinner was always very good... You could choose your food, fish, meat or poultry and then cooked directly; somewhat one african lodge. Atmosphere... I would even all beach hotel prefer... read more

On our tour we stayed 2 nights in the hotel Sigiriya. On our first Sri Lanka-trip we had, just typical tourist, so our concerns, which the accommodation hotels in interior regards. These concerns were blown away immediately. From the check in, the so fast, nice and quickly took place, on accommodation, food, cleanliness, everything just great! If you like national and very sharp dishes like, is right at home here. Worth mentioning and definitely recommendable is our travel guide ( Chamie), as a freelance for its work. It has story and sciences and is full of knowledge of story, the ... country and its people, he also gives and interesting. He will now give independent and therefore need every support, he. The hotel Sigiriya is in the immediate proximity to the known Rocks. Especially nice is the view from the pool-which we our 2-day stay not used-on the rocks. An experience is also the street the hotel, in the dark you could meet many animals. Although the hotel is a little out of the way cities or shops but with a car/ bus/taxi in the region a lot worth Seeing.
the rooms are all ground floor rooms, however we had unfortunately no terrace. In our large room had TV, safe & air conditioning and everything was spotlessly clean. In the bathroom ... two people easily space.
the food was delicious in Sigiriya, without being too heavy or fancy, but it for gourmets fresh prepared Spiny lobsters at a very fair price. The courts at the buffet changed daily. The service was good, especially with regard to the chef is worth mentioning, the made to every meal a round through the restaurant and with the guests. Surprisingly many of the staff could speak German and almost all spoke English.
all together the Sigiriya for rundreisende as a perfect hotel. Also a longer stay we had quite imagine may, since it is a hotel, in which one didn't feel like a guest 08-15-and feel comfortable all around. read more
