We were 2 paare and wanted rest and relaxation. We had to find them.
It was overall, a great vacation with very good food and much too expensive drinks.
Service (thanks to our waiter rajesh ) very good. Everything else is stop the mentality, and these should be the ' knockers' concerns, other countries other customs. We felt at home and say this all in piroque thank you and be all the best and above all health.

A beautiful hotel plant invites you to dream. The huge palmengarten looks like a picturesque park. The broadness you get the feeling, that the hotel not at all by other guests crowded. The pool area is beautiful and allows a wonderful view directly in a transition in the blue sea. The beach is very wide and absolutely maintained. There were always enough beach chairs to the selection and overall the whole area an incredible peace. For relaxation relaxation is here in the right place. Also very positive is, that the ' beach towel and perlenverkäufer ' from the beach in ... no way pushy or annoying are. I have this vacation with the beautiful surroundings and the friendliness of the locals and particularly the the staff absolutely enjoyed and unforgettable great time spend. read more

Great hotel area, great service. Great restaurants in the hotel and the neighboring area. As all-inclusive guest, you get almost all drinks and food as à la carte customers, is charged but not in the end not so much. read more

A dream holiday with a really nice and competent staff!
The food, the new year's buffet, was a poem and otherwise very good and varied.
There was never a rush for loungers, neither by the pool nor at the beach, if you consider, that now peak season is. The sea exceptionally beautiful and very warm, however for snorkelling in beach proximity boring.
The rooms are daily completely cleaned, the beds lovingly decorated and the mini bar refilled.
My recommendation it is 'all inclusive' to book, since the beverages expensive!
Excursions i recommend with the taxi something to do, cost about ... € 75,- per day and we were 4. on the way. Competence of the taxi drivers' very good '.

This hotel is highly recommendable. Charming bungalows in a beautiful park.
Wonderful pool area. Great food! There is something there for any taste. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed sheets changed daily. The beach is long and nice, however are bathing shoe definitely required because korallenstückchen and sometimes sea urchins. Unfortunately there is always people, who bring along the unsitte have, early in the morning loungers and sun screen and then only at late afternoon to appear, although this is not allowed. But there are enough
Shade by palm trees and trees on the adjoining unofficial red light district and ... also enough sunbeds.
There were some small stores and a small supermarket 5-10 -minute walk away.
There is every day a beautiful entertainment program with live music in the evening.
The catamaran-trip to the ile aux cerf i would not recommend. Is not worth the money. For snorkelling was very little time. The visited water fall a joke and stay on the crowded
Island much too long. The food simple, but good, however uncomfortable with the plates on the knees.

Altogether we have felt really good in this hotel. Especially the gardens tempt to linger. The staff's hospitality is however very mixed. On one day we were at the pool bar 2 minutes not served, and we were in the surrounding pub a bit bought. The employees the front desk seemed partly overburdened and little motivation, especially their english language skills were rather poor are. Also the dinner was somewhat as in a cafeteria style, however definitely varied and tasty. The leisure activities were top, are of course not me a Magic Life Hotel comparable, as for special always extra ... charge pay should. The hotel has, as each house pros and cons, and we recommend it. read more

As already before from many other described the hotel is really very good and fully recommendable. Service is absolutely great - one should not be impatient, sometimes, it takes a bit.
We had all-inclusive for 60, -/ day/person and for us in any case profitable. Cocktails start at 10 €on, bottle of wine from 20 €and the beer about 6 €-the advantages outweigh, alone simply because the restaurants, in the sugar beach. A dinner to 2. is in any case hundreds area.
The diving school is also great equipped and absolutely professional. read more

We were for the 3. time in the La Pirogue and as always it pleased us very well. There is a few things the are not optimal (for example the bathrooms were not yet renovated and at the front desk one is little appealing), but since we can ignore that. Apart from that it is for us as' come home ', we from the very first moment on felt very comfortable. The only thing which the furtniture really spoiled, was a part of the audience in the hotel. The times, in which Maritius a exclusive destination was obviously unfortunately past ... and the La Pirogue don ' ts that, here not expected (and at our past there was no). At 6 o'clock in the morning, began the franco-german war the chairs at the beach, at the latest at 8 o'clock, mostly for the benefit of the german pensioners, decided was. So if you, as in civilised people actually usual, after the breakfast to the beach came, had the disadvantage and had on the neighboring hotel avoid. It was lovely and quiet, finally was alone with about 50 towels. Similar situations there was during dinner and of course, if there were free (for example with an invitation of the regular guests through the management). In short: gladly again to the La Pirogue, but surely never again at this time. read more

I was for the first time on Maritius, and i'm right verknallt! I love this island. The mentality of the people is just so great. The beach is wonderful (however you needed beach shoes)! There is so lots of things which one on this island make can. There is so lots to see and so lots to experience! The hotel looks dreamy! Nestled in a palm trees garden is one of his bungalow immediately at the beach. I only noticed, if people there were complaints, then it was the older persons. But the things which i personally totally ungenerous found. ... I can only say i travel there again and again the pirogue as a hotel select! Super fun and friendly the people there! So, considering. We were middle november as a couple in this hotel.
Particular emphasis should be on the great food. The evening buffet was so delicious and plentiful, even critical eaters should be content. We have the à la carte restaurant not used.
The area is very nicely kept, the cottages are very nice in the area. You don't the feeling, in a large hotel, as it is, except for the reception building, no multi-storey buildings is.
The staff is very friendly and always tried a solution to any problems (ants and couldn't be turned off and was air conditioning) to find ..., which in our case worked well.
The place flic en flac is not worth mentioning, as there is neither a promenade still other ' attractions' returns. Within walking distance from the hotel there is a well stocked spar market, where you can get snacks and drink.
Expensive taxis. We have a taxi to a an experienced attendant booked, it was relatively expensive (45 minutes drive for circa 60,00 Euro). The climbing park is worthwhile unfortunately not, since this rather for children and therefore not very demanding regarding the obstacles was.
Overall the hotel we can absolutely recommend, the place itself is rather less.
Special recommendation: the morning tour 'dolphin swimming' book. One must around six rise, but the experience is incredible. We are in a bay with a school of around 50 to 60 wild dolphins swam. A wonderful experience and with about 35 per person really cheap. read more

La Pirogue, as well as the whole island, are overrated. Well, area and have above average. But: bad beach (narrow, stony). No wonder you see relatively little bather in the sea. The pool is, for the size of the hotel, way too small. Food: little variety, quality of meat often miserable, much junk. Wine prices completely covered.
Front desk very friendly, have, despite reservation, not a desired superior bungalow.
Conclusion : recommended only with restrictions, however for the convenience too expensive. read more

Rooms are in need of renovation, very cramped. Air conditioning system functioned only halfway to but lot of noise, so that we the at night had to turn. In the closet it smells strangely. Bathroom is already quite unpleasant. Shower was moldy.
The only positive thing was the complex outside and beach. read more

We have us in the La Pirogue very comfortable. The hotel is huge, so that everything was very relaxing and quiet. The staff are extremely friendly ( for example josiane from the Paul & virginie and stephane from the blue bar) and we were amazed, as many of their knowledge of German with us practice wanted. We booked all-inclusive and this was a good decision, because food and drinks are on Maritius quite expensive. The food is excellent, there is a massive selection, the quality is perfect and it is guaranteed something there for every taste. Especially we enjoyed the ... 'Paul & virginie' eaten ( palmherzensalat with marlin, heaven). We have the island with a from the hotel organized taxi explored on foot (individually and cheaper than the travel guide). In the capital you can very cheap with the public bus go ( stop next to the hotel. Currency exchange, as well as smaller purchases are approximately 5 minutes out from the hotel possible. We have the in the hotel resident diving school used (the area with the red sea can't compete ), as well as the free available single kayaks, sailing surfboards and catamaran. read more

Spread out laid out hotel with unbeatable beautiful palm trees garden right next to white, flat sloping coral beach. In spite of the this hotel the first and the oldest in this area is, we would certainly choose this place again. The large number of guests is not to notice, since the complex perfect designed and extremely large. Perfect food, staff friendly and competent - nothing to fault. read more

The long journey of Hamburg to Maritius paid off! Not more new hotel offers everything what could think of. We haven't been here for the last time here.
We can only recommend the hotel it is dreamlike quiet.

Large, well-kept hotel. Clean big room. Rich choice of food ( the partly evenings after a week repeated). Alcoholic beverages are expensive. Evenings entertainment on offer. Consistently friendly staff.
In the north, it is on the next estate a hotel built, the noise stops during the day but within limits (the sound of the waves the reef is mostly loud).
A few tips:
- bus ride to Port Louis: has from the hotel for 2 people 64 mur cost ( terminus nord train station in Port Louis)
- Port Louis – market: if you are going to the north has ..., on the same side on the main street (on the you want) decrease (about 5 minutes)
Money: exchange in deutschlandist not necessary, at the airport are exchange offices. If currency exchange and bank next to each other, a comparison. In the hotel come fees in addition.
- taxi- guided -tour: the about the hotel booked guided tour could almost a 'sales event' ended if we follow the indian gift shop not a corresponding lack of interest manifested could have been. A tour with 'dawood' ( taxi rank next to the supermarket in flic en flac) was great and convenient (details via pm)
- blue bay: a trip is worthwhile. To book a tour with the 'glass bottom boat' action possible (so we instead of 2000 'only 1500' mur paid
