Hotel Alpenblick^{(3 stars)}

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel in Zermatt. The staff was very friendly and courteous towards us at all times, and the hotel is a charming place within a 5min. walking distance to the central Zermatt area. It was very easy to get to many hiking trails from the hotel. The rooms are clean and bright with a great view of the surrounding alps. The food in the restaurant was excellent though a bit pricey. The Restaurant staff was very friendly as well. Overall a great place to stay! We will definitely come back there on our ... next trip to Zermatt! read more

The hosts are very professional and helpful. The superior room on the top floor is worth the price. You will enjoy unobstructed views of the Matterhorn. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub. The flat screen tv is much bigger than in other hotels met and the transmitters range includes a wide range of channels (lots of German, English, Italian, Spanish and French). The mag strip, in the edition, exciting and entertaining information on the history of the hotel, as well as on the free village of Zermatt and the changes in the last 150 years. A visit to the ... mountaineering Museum (near the hotel) offers more interesting details. Furthermore, we were told at the unasked visit the wine cellar directly from the hosts some worth knowing. The service, as well as the ability to communicate in other languages was excellent and the portions on expected large. We will book next time in this hotel. read more

Location at the end of the town, but quickly reachable by shuttle bus from the train station. Upon arrival at the train station of electro had to wait. A friendly and helpful front desk. The whole hotel was very well maintained and very clean. Our family room was very big with a large bathroom, everything was in tip top condition and very nice. From the small balcony lovely ter view on the Matterhorn. In the morning a little luck with the weather was a fantastic sunrise. A nice breakfast room with a small breakfast buffet, actually everything that you want. ... The restaurant was unfortunately closed, the existing small Spa area was not used. The hotel is highly recommendable! Price/performance ratio more than made up for it, very good location in town, quiet location trootzdem. Good Hiking Possibilities! Service was impeccable! We had a very pleasant experience a stay. A Jacuzzi would have been nice former (in). Apart from that, everything was first-class, faultless. Everyone was very friendly! Even when the special wish it was no problem (we needed a headlamp for Schlitteln): the owners have their free private parking available. Even when we were on the last day on the slopes and checking out we had still had the possibility to shower and luggage. Great! read more

The hotel is located on the edge of Zermatt. We had booked a double room with balcony and direct view of the Matterhorn. The centre is a short footpath easy to reach. Lots of shopping and restaurants available. Achrung: Zermatt is car-free read more

Already at the front desk, we were warmly greeted upon arrival. Despite our late arrival in the evening we could have the 4-course meal with a charming matter still, which we knew after a seven hour journey very much appreciated. The family atmosphere of this tradition hotel we enjoyed very good, and the atmosphere is personally welcome the guests every evening. We felt, that the whole team with a lot of enthusiasm for the guest is there. The kitchen is perfect. Extremely personable and impressive history of the hotel is in the book format, the history of the Hotelierfamilie, porch ... and documented illustativ of Zermatt. Nice family run Hotel. Large balcony with view of the Matterhorn. Hotel decor was a little veraltes-especially the bathroom, but otherwise clean and okay. Beds okay and clean. Large terrace in front of the hotel for coffee or dinner. We ate dinner twice in the hotel's own restaurant and were not disappointed. read more

I have stayed in hotel Alpenblick 2 times during last 2 years, once in double room with a friend of mine and once in single room just by myself. Both times I have noticed how well rooms have been organized for people having a lot of different outdoor clothes with them and having a need to wash themselves several times during a day. This makes me to recommend this hotel for people having their winter sports vacations in Zermatt. Plus that the location of a hotel is perfect for winter sports too having nice, short walk to nearest lift station ... as well as to shops and restaurants in the center of Zermatt too. read more
