Our room was in the dependance, which we with our suitcases a Außengasse and a flight of stairs and again down reached. In opening the door we noticed an unpleasant odor. The furniture in the room were worn and cheap. The bathroom was very small. The sink had two cracks, the Waschlappenhalter and Tuchhalter were made of plastic and mostly canceled. The floor in the bathroom was not clean.
From the room we had direct view of the backyard of the earlier hotels and the parking. We were glad, only one night to stay there.
We moved from place to ... place is organized by an agency. We had the half board. The service was mediocre. The service friendly. The breakfast was good.
At the front desk was the service indifferent. read more

This is a superb family run hotel. We opted for Bed and Breakfast but you can also choose half board. It has an amazing outdoor heated terrace which serves food and drink all day and is great for\'people watching\' or relaxing as you come in from the slopes.
The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained with the style of decor you would expect fron this region in Switzerland. read more

Located opposite the train station this family run hotel is of traditional swiss mountain design. It is a good size alowing ample space for guests without loosing that family feel and becoming just another resort hotel. the hotel is kept in exelent condition, everything is kept spotlesley clean, beds changed daily etc. It is a very warm welcoming place with candle lit evening meals end exelent service. read more

We have been going to Grindelwald for 20 years and we have tried many of the other hotels, but we find that the Central Hotel Wolter is the best and we have settled on going there for the last 10 years, usually for two weeks at a time. We have always found the standard of service and friendliness of the staff to be excellent, as are the quality of the food and the comfort of the rooms. the location is excellent for access to all of the transport facilities and the shops and sports centre. read more

This is a very pleasant family run hotel. The rooms are traditionally furnished and very clean. Nothing is too much bother for the excellent staff who put up with our attempts at speaking german with humour and in return spoke excellent english. read more
