Hotel Astir Beach^{(4 stars)}

Very good hotel, especially the restaurant. Sandy beach available just across the street. Nice pool, although not many sun loungers available. Restaurant staff very nice and polite, hotel manager not always - once your All inclusive programme is finished, he treats you like you're unwanted, which is not very nice. Rooms were quite nice, but the bathroom could be a bit better for a 4 star hotel... the floor in the room was not cleaned at all. Drinks in the bar were much too expensive! read more

we loved this hotel. evening entertainment was a little basic for us but we enjoyed it. we found patronizing to the other holiday makers and ourselves. however the staff were fantastic and great fun. very few english (we were the only family however everybody spoke excellent english and we had a few language skills so this was fine. rooms basic but we had a balcony, a big bathroom bath / shower. a fridge and hairdryer and air con. all very very clean and although beds were hard it was ok. *** pillows hard and lumpy is my main complaint**** food ... excellent, staff very very kind helpfull and excellent service. just a brilliant holliday. no night clubs so perfect for us! the beach is literally over the road and it was beautiful sofy sand and very clean. this ment one could be on the beach and thoes who wanted to stay by the pool could as they are literally this close. cheap local car hire and a choice of two water parks only 15/ 20 mins away. we went to aqua park which was super small and compact so less walking than usuall but brilliant rides. our son of 9 loved the hotel, entertainment and the local water park. well worth a visit.be truthfull though and expect 3 star and not 4 star if you are looking at everything. but still brilliant value loved it thank you read more

The best impression from the Gastronomy, variety and taste (!!!) of food and drinks!!! Not very comfortable shower "cabine". It was difficult to find a boat for the one day sea trip. Wi-Fi access is not low-price. read more

I was in Astir beach second time. The hotel is exelend for all poeple: chailds, yuang people and old.It is on the see, big swiming pool, small - for children. There are many games for alll. The animation group so fine. I liked their fantastik programes in the evening. The food is so delicates. The personal was very friendly. Thanks for director mistes Manolis for all: he everytime was with our asks, problems,questions for yornes. I hope all poeple in the word liked this hotel. Rest was fantastik. All excelllent. i have spent a wonderfull week in this hotel;i could visit the island easily because the hotel is not far from heraklion and it's easy to take the bus and visit the city and from here we can go with the ship to santorini-a fantastic island- we can take the bus to cnossos(20MN) or to go the east, west or south i enjoy to eat greek food in the restaurand:it belongs to the culture too i say "efkaristo" to all the people who are working in this hotel-in restaurant,at the reception and i don't forget mario on ... the evening( i was not there during the day); i hope i can return next year:(to visit the south!) see you soon! read more

I've visited Astir Beach Hotel with my daughter between 10th - 25th June. We have had a great holiday. The hotel is perfectly placed just by the beach, which is not so broad but it is very suitable for us because my daughter seats on the wheelchair. It was easy for me to hep her to go swim in the sea. There is also a nice, big swimingpool, which has been very comfortable for us. The staff is really kind and frindly. They help us with some technical problem. Our room has been cleand every day. The food was just ... fabulous. There is a possibility to take a long walk along the baech where one can find plenty of butiques and taverns. read more

It is nice, clean hotel near the sea. People in reception desk and staff in general are speakinh foreign languages and are friendly. The only problem is lack of free wi-fi connection. Although there is internet it is rather expensive (6 euros for 2 hours). read more

The way that we were received at the hotel was outstanding. The manager and staff could not have been more helpful and we were in our room within minutes of arriving. Nothing was too much trouble and the service we received was exemplary. We had checked with the hotel before booking whether it was suitable for my wife in her wheelchair and had received assurances that this was the case and a room was reserved for us that was ideal for her. The food was excellent with a good and varied choice and we will return to the hotel in ... the future without a doubt. read more

Astir is a nice, clean hotel with a tasty food and friendly staff. Also this hotel is situated in a very good location, only 15 km from Iraklion. I would recommend this hotel for the people who want to travel in Crete by car or local busses. Thanks for this hotel I enjoyed every day of my holidays. read more

I had nothing to complain, it was quite o.k. The hotel was in good condition, friendly staff, the female receptionist could have been a bit more friendly though. The food was good and drinks were included in the buffet. read more

I stayed at the hotel for ten days during a buisness trip at the beginning of May. The personell were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were clean and tidily. All together a lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere, only separated from the beach by a less traveled road. read more

I had with friends half board and are only around 22 in the hotel through our late flight arrival and then free meals from the buffet ( you cold food) and drinks into the room as we get for dinner 't be there could. Also when checking out we had to at 10 o'clock the rooms and around about 17 on the way to the airport to make, therefore we were allowed instead of the dinner buffet the lunch buffet use, so service great! The buffet breakfast is monotonous and poor offer. Dinner was good. No shampoo in the bathroom. Beach chairs had to be paid extra, set 6 . In the evening very loud music entertainment, etc. read more
