The check-in was a bit chaotic, the staff seemed a bit overburdened and a bit clumsy, were nevertheless always polite.

For us it was the 2. time surin. After the change to Hilton little done, neither positively nor negatively, the hotel is outdated and renovation is not lots to see. The rooms are okay but the showers do not see more appetizing. Apart from that, the hotel is but clean and tidy and also the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and very nicely laid out and you always find a place. Especially for the price kids is the own experiences great and the noise did not bother us.
We will surin but will avoid, as ... some developments of us cannot be supported. At the beach was just another beach club built, admission fees per day around 50 to 70 € and the remaining restaurants my now with the prices go up to may. Although no obvious reason is given, were here in comparison other areas in Thailand the prices always a bit higher. The taxes have a clear price-fixing agreement and this also rigorously against their own colleagues, the on the main street seats by, so that dare not guests at the hotel pick up. Ok for a short break. The check in was very chaotic, the staff overburdened. We had a junior suite with lots of space, very comfortable bed, where we however rarely anyway. The room was very clean. The beach is about 5 minutes away on foot. The atmosphere there is like in Rimini to high season. Couch at couch to directly at the water, what is not is very relaxing. A bit nice but also much more expensive is the Beach Club of the Twin Palms. There one has substantially more space and privacy to the neighbors. The service in the ... restaurant left nothing to the imagination. Us for breakfast the appetite as we saw, that a chef at the egg station, very strong sweat, the sweat on the prepared eggs dripped-simply disgusting. The fitness studio is practically equipped. For more than two nights i would do not book this hotel. read more

The noisiest hotel in Thailand!
Those who seek peace and quiet is totally wrong! On the hotel course echoed music already at 8 o'clock early from loudspeakers (on 25 december always the same 5 carols the whole day)

The Doubletree is on the first glance okay and seemed friendly, new and modern, unfortunately you look on the 2. view many faults. The hotel the 1-4-2012 sold and called now destination Surin beach & spa. The courtyard Marriott booked, we were a bit disappointed, but the staff's hospitality we were compensated.

We spent a wonderful vacation in the courtyard and this hotel highly recommend.
The pool area is very beautifully designed with lots of palm trees and flowers, so that you in every corner undisturbed feels. The breakfast buffet the is crazy! ( there are even nutella, fresh Croissants, many types of bread. In case in the morning you definitely not Rice and noodles, chicken like. ) for any taste so no shortage! And the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
We often a motorbike rented in the store right out of the hotel a small piece the road high. Therefore ... we have on own fist the island explored on foot. Worked great!
The nearby beach Bangtao is also very recommendable. Huge and goes. In bangtao are the prices for massages cheaper and the restaurant café de bangtao we can especially recommend.
In patong one can very well shop. Otherwise it pleased us there but not much.
Definitely the show fantasea in Kamala visit! The park commemorates Disneyland and the show is really great: typically Thai dances, elephants, great Costumes. Just a beautiful Fantasiewelt!
In short: Surin and bangtao are quieter places with beautiful beaches the still relatively not so extremely touristy are. From here your well excursions to neighboring islands (KOH Phi Phi, Phang Nga.) or excursions within Phukets perform. read more

Surin beach-a beautiful Bay-but touristy totally flawed. Up to six people rows sun screens and there was constant behind it lying bars, restaurants, shops... Not bearable. Better northern Laguna beach, about 25 minutes by taxi (just 100 BHT). Within of the hotel complex a well-kept, pleasant Admosphere. read more

very good hotel with attractive pool landscape and very friendly staff. The rooms are well equipped and clean, half balcony/ terrace overlooking the pool. We had bed and breakfast - breakfast not the right word: here you could eat till you drop( later more). Mixed guests, many families, which in between by the pool can be very loud (but it didn't bother us, if you are going to the beautiful beach ☺ lots of Russians (but no sauf tourists), Australian, Japanese, Austrians... Was one of our best hotels in such countries! read more
