The hotel is ideal for a city trip - as they say 'in the middle instead of on the sidelines'. The metro is right in front of the door. The hotel lies on the Gran Via, and you can reach everything without problems either on foot or by metro. We had a room with a small balcony with a view of the Gran Via - when the window was closed, you heard nothing anymore. The inventory in the room has seen better days, however it was clean and the mattresses were good. The bathroom we found was/is a bit old ... and could do with a renovation. The bathroom was also quite small, as a couple, it was a bit cramped. Size of the room was adequate but smaller it could really not have been. But who spends their time in the room when they're in Madrid? The staff were very friendly and helpful - everyone could speak perfect English. Should I travel to Madrid again, I will definitely choose this hotel again. The restaurant I can't comment on, we booked without breakfast, there are enough shops within 5 minutes on foot where you get cheaper breakfast. read more

Centrally located hotel on the Gran Via. It is advisable to get a room on one of the upper floors. If possible to the back of the hotel. There tranquility is in order. Stayed on the 11th floor. It has a rooftop terrace with 2 Jacuzzis. From there, great view over Madrid. International guests. 10 minutes from the Royal Palace. 5 minutes from the shopping streets that lead towards Plaza de Sol. From the airport with metro 8 until Nuevos Ministerios, there change to line 10 to Plaza de Espana. 5 minutes on foot to the hotel. read more

For our needs it was the right hotel. Centrally located for all our excursions. Bus stop directly in front of the house. Metro is very close. Great atmosphere. There were more restaurants than we could try, variety of flavors ranging from fast food to local cuisine, we found everything in the immediate vicinity. read more

It is a nice hotel of the 'Playa Senator'-group, which is located in a very central location in the middle of Madrid in the Gran Via.
In the immediate area are the 'Plaza de Espana' and a metro-link.
Within a few minutes (all within less than 1 km) you reach the 'Plaza Mayor', the 'Plaza de la Puerta del Sol' and the 'Plaza de Sta Ana', and countless bars, restaurants, theaters and magnificent shopping streets So perfect to discover the town!
The value for money is very good for Madrid. The furniture is partly a bit worn, but still acceptable. ...
The equipment of the rooms is very good, and we missed nothing. To this belong:
Kettle (instant-coffee and tea for free), iron, TV with 5 German channels (ARD, ZDF, Sat. 1, RTL, ViVa), Hi-Fi with CD-player, ceiling fan, air conditioning, heating and free-Internet connection (WiFi), as well as free mini bar (soft drinks without alcohol)
A private spa in the basement is part of the to the hotel-services (not used, fees apply), as well as a Jacuzzi on the roof, which is only open in the summer, though.
Altogether you can recommend this hotel without a doubt.
Tip: breakfast can be very good, authentic and cheap in the 'Marisquería Restaurant Sirena Verde' two minutes to go from the hotel on the left side on the Gran Via. read more
