The hotel is dated, but here and there are always painted and being worked on. I was 13 years there and was rather disappointed, but it has but here and there which changed. There the pool was completely rebuilt and partly the rooms updated. At that time, i would, the hotel is surely not recommended but what i now can. Rooms were cleaned daily and hand towels were changed according to desire. Generally good for a beach holiday. read hotel review

Club Amigo Mayanabo is a great All Inclusive Hotel. They have a nice big pool and a beach with beachbar. They offer watersports and there is entertainment for kids. At night there are performances for young and old. Beside the buffet restaurant, there is an a la carte restaurant as well. But you need to book ahead. Around the hotel there are some diving options (like feeding bullsharks !!!). We loved this hotel. read hotel review

Very run down, rooms in terrible condition. Luckily only one night during the round trip. For a longer stay not recommendable, unless you fly to Cuba to party read hotel review

A older older hotel but clean cA, 230 rooms. A hotel block in our time inhabited as it renovated is, without additional Lärmbelässtigung. It is a pure all inclusive hotel with good offer. Too many Canadians, little German or Austrians, on the weekends or vacation days also Cubans. From singles to families were all age groups represented. read hotel review

    Be careful what you get. The first room was more modern 220 volt outlets with hair dryer and but only with window and very small and at the front of the hotel supplies until 3 o'clock night because of the neighboring disco very loud. Some rooms have mold but not all. The second room in block 1 Sten was a little larger and a terrace with a chairs and stools but it only had no hair dryer and no 110 volt outlet in the mirror area. All rooms have air conditioning is very quiet. But due to the location near the stage was not needed before 23 o'clock in the bed go.

    A restaurant with attached Al la carte and a snack bar near the pool. With a pool bar, a coffee bar( very good coffee) beach bar and a piano bar (after hours 23) was good. For a country no food imports, the food was very good and the selection also unfortunately sometimes a bit cold but there was the possibility to fresh prepared food to go. The Christmas and new year's Evemenu a sensation and without extra charge. The restaurant was a bit dark in some areas, the table cloths not quite as clean but I had encountered elsewhere in the 4 star area already worse.

    the staff were in all areas very friendly and warm without the I the feeling had they were the tip, although the speed was raised had. Some employee afterwards something German, English and if you are a little bit of Spanish attempted increases the joy on both sides. The cleaning of the rooms was perfect. Laundry service on request possible, but I have not used exactly as the medical employee. Child care I needed also not. Fairly run-down location the mini club.

    There was a fitness room with good facilities only 2 devices broken and angränzerder massage possibilities for 1 hour 20 CUC) bicycles for rent which unfortunately come down. The entertainment was monotonous and way too loud. The evening entertainment with dancers and live music were good way too loud. Peace was only at the beach possible with enough chairs and sun screens. The beach was clean and you could get free kayaks and pedal boats or with the Katamairan. Stayed in the pool area many beach chairs were broken and no esgab sun screens but depending on position of the sun a shady spot.

    to the beach there are about 100 meters. The next place is about 500 meters away with options for shopping in the kiosk similar buildings. The next larger city is 110 kilometer away Camaguey by taxi about 65 CUC back and forth or a trip with a visit of the tour operator to book. Holiday-nothing else possible! Pleasant all inclusive resort at the end of the world-to the next bigger city (Camaguey) one drives with the car about 2.5 hours. With luck you can see outside of the plant for it also Flamingos. read hotel review

As a result of the economic situation and the upheaval on Cuba with the follower seeking dismissal of the staff we can recommend this hotel for over 15 years, for the first time, not more, but each only advise you not to go there, to book here: The first two weeks we have been hit by heavy deep foothills, so you in long trousers and jacket to survive the day, about 15 degrees outside with ice with wind. Hot water is usually produced with solar panels, what worked due to lack of sun, of course not. Thus we had seven ... days long ice-cold water, because the hotel was no gas for heating was available and also not really bother you, this heranzuschaffen as soon as possible. Result was, that our group with more than 15 persons over ten to cold, fever, cough, etc. patients. The actually scheduled dive trip fell into the water so literally. Point food & beverage: Simply only horrible! At the buffets were served only banana, rice, beans, etc., meat only in the form of bones with leftovers from, the grill only burgers, fish with much bones or krosse pig skin a, but no edible meat or similar-each day the same muck four weeks. Drinks were only carelessly together, with 'cocktail' or similar has nothing more to do this. The pool bar is normally until 23 hours open, but is already to 22 hours packed up. Each evening there was no coke or more it also no beer (whether or not there was and the bartender only didn't want, I don't have time to be desired). So the to 23 hours open in piano bar in the basement, also here no beer (or Luke warm, cold dish) and no coke/juices, etc. daily statement: 'not today, but perhaps tomorrow again'. The local tour guide by Neckermann was therefore Jorge daily in the hotel, has very much and has also very welcoming with us with to help with the management please auditioned, this has it then managed, one evening a roast to organise the grill, all day! Nor, for example, the bus, the wegrationalisiert the diver with equipment daily basis to return, everything. So is it then run with 15 kilogram equipment, especially the way back with a wet suit/jacket etc. is very pleasant. Finally, there is, that so far in all the regulars very popular hotel with the above-mentioned points very far off is, no one here would book the hotel again travellers, but rather on Gran club or brisas Santa Lucía avoid, because it was no complaints about the food, service, etc.! While we have us a rental car tour decided after a short drive to Santa Lucía to two days 'car break ' and to the beach to relax. The hotel consists of a main building and several 2-story room buildings. It has a pool, buffet restaurant, lobby, pool and beach bar, volleyball and tennis courts. Our room was with two twin beds with night tables, wardrobe, dressing table and TV, bathroom with shower the, toilet, wash basin and hair dryer. On the terrace with two chairs. Both the quality and taste of the food in the buffet restaurant were good. ... Drinks came very quickly at the table and the service staff did a good job and was always friendly. read hotel review

    Yes the evening entertainment wasn't anything for me, except I thought the hotel band was still cool, otherwise, there were some games and they were partly a little embarrassing. Beach chairs at the pool and on the beach, with beautiful umbrellas. About 10 minutes down to the beach, as there was a diving station but it did not belong to the hotel.

    The beach was quite long and broad. The ocean was for the most part sea urchins and lots of seaweed in the water, one really had to see the ground that one didn't step on sea urchins.

Many defects in worn and zimmenr turning bicycles, tennis court etc. broken or not usable, at night in many areas of the complex noise from adjacent disco, hardly any possibilities for tours in the area, entertainment in the club was very bad, drinks quality. read hotel review

We are ale couple arrived and had a wonderful vacation among friends experienced. The staff was from the reception to the gardener to helpful and courteous friendly. The room are small but we are also in room, the cleanliness was OK. The food was good it was always something new at the buffet was always the staff attentive and Very friendly and accommodating after three days were already the drinks on our table. Christmas and New Year's eve menu was with the best what we experienced. have until now a compliment to the hotel We can only recommend the hotel. ... The hotel exceeded my expectation Mayanabo absolutely, there is really the price/performance ratio! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the through a small tip of course friendly and helpful is, as everywhere in the world. The fried eggs for breakfast were class. The buffet was varied and was always refilled again. A big compliment also to Jorge, the tour guide from Neckermann, always with the a and advice to help you. I'm coming again! read hotel review
