The toilets at the front desk and in the outdoor area were often clogged. The was what bothered me the most. The food, the service, the staff, everything was good. A bit more german speaking staff would be desirable. read more

Everywhere cats, also with the food! In the restaurant, on the chairs, by the pool in the whole hotel area! Hotel deserves 2 stars Hotelinnenausstattung, all-inclusive offer and cleanliness: bad Hotelaußenanlage : very nice Staff: pushy and annoying All age groups available, while we were there, there were many vacationers from Russia on site We would have in the hotel weighted, but fear, more than outsiders to be treated The travel guide from booker spoke bad german and was even from egyptians, so that we do not dare to complain.     Size of the room ok-cleanliness bad to that is unacceptable. The bathroom was a catastrophe from mold to dirty everything. The hand towels were full marks, with the wash not rausgeganen are. This should a hotel only than dish cloth use! Luckily we had our own towels for everyone. 2 large beds, we to a large together pushed, bed linen was clean. Tv with german channels : ARD and ZDF were not at all to see, RTL and RTL II were gerigfügig to see. The air conditioning was dirty and yellow. On the gardinenleisten were several inches dust, the runterrieselten, when we made a mosquito hunted. The mini bar wasn't part of the all-inclusive offer. After we a better room for approximately 70 €paid, we had anyhow a traumhaftschönen overlooking the lagoon.

    We had booked all inclusive and this immediately regret it. There was 1 main restaurant in the breakfast, lunch and dinner was served, the selection and the quality of the dishes was poor and poor. Which it to noon gave, there was mostly for dinner. If variation, then scampi and Hummer, but be paid separately had. Drinks was then brought, if the staff had desire in addition, possibly also only for dessert. For breakfast there was, coffee, flat water and juices. The all-inclusive offer of drinks began only at 10 o'clock. In other words: if you at 8:00 o'clock breakfast and the restaurant then again left, there was until 10 o'clock in the universe inclusive package to nothing to drink. In restaurantaußenbereich was full of cats, the uninhibited on the cushions of the chairs at the table set, in other words: from the buffet, there was a cat on a chair. Unsanitary and disgusting. Before the lobby bar in the outdoor area there were a very nice large terrace, on but a lingering was not possible. A very unpleasant and stinking smell pulled again and again on this place. Apparently was behind the walls of the hotel a garbage dump, a katzenkolake or whatever. Simply disgusting! As all-inclusive guest we felt like 3. klassige people treated felt.

    The waiters was lazy and annoying. I was allowed without my friend not a single step alone through the hotel make, without from the staff addressed, bit annoyed or bothered. This was nothing more with friendliness and attentiveness to do. The first days interested it not, that my friend was. German was bad until not at all spoken, but one could inform oneself with english good.

    The pool area was great. Troubled it was unfortunately by cats by the pool and this drank! The loungers were well, the cushions but dirty. The towels, the by the pool distributed were, had the size a waschlappens, somewhat exaggerated, but with a real towel, that nothing more to do. The small private beach right on the hotel, was small, cute and more than adequate. Here praise. With a boat you could to the private beach Zeytouna Beach drive. Condition of this beach: run down, sad and pathetic and an all-inclusive offer that only at 11 o'clock began.

Good location however bad service. The staff is around bored, the guests are too stressful around to be served. This is me in the circa 20 travel in Egypt never happened! Unfortunately however this hotel i no longer book and it could for the moment also not recommend. The manager promised improvement, see, whether and what happens... His apology : the staff are new and inexperienced whilst dealing with people... Hello! Because of the poor state of the labour market in the country is the rather incomprehensible and not conducive. read more

In january we were one week in Sultan Bay and felt very comfortable. The staff, wether cleaning or service were always friendly competent and ready to help. The rooms were very clean, laundry and change of towels was daily. The dishes at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet were varied and very tasty. The furniture is already a bit dated sprayed but its own charm, but the entire palm trees and blumenbestückten facilities can say. Our room was me view of the lagoon and we could every morning a wonderful sunrise experience. read more

Sultan Bay - never again! Reviews have manipulated his. The rooms are dirty especially the bathroom is with mold infested. The food a nightmare - everyday the same. The entrance hall and lobby still no 2 star. One thinks first where you ended up here. All inclusive bucher-must be in accordance with their drinks beg, because the bar in the lobby was never occupied and during the day one gets only all inclusive at the pool. The supply at the beach for all inclusive bucher is also a joke. There one gets not yet times an beer! And for children ... absolutely boring! Consider well, before you book - be comfortable is something else. We have already been the 3. time in Egypt and never disappointed. read more

We were from 17.-31. january as guests in this hotel. As we it from the catalog was good, We found. Wonderful manageable, great colorful green area around the hotel. Extremely friendly staff, attentive, helpful and approachable. Front desk worked wonderful, bell boy did everything and was always! Friendly. Service in the restaurant almost informal, botros and bassam are only called representatively. The room service perfect and attentive. The pool boy was always available. The shuttlepilot, the bar staff and so on, and so on i can list endlessly pursue. The hotel is located excellent in town El Gouna and ... everyone can a great vacation experience. We write therefore so in detail, because we simply cannot understand, understand want, about this hotel a little over fee to complain about. If i one year old luxusbau need, then book i him. And we are as tourist and not as hotel critics. And details regulates you at the front desk. Everything is here done for a relaxing great holiday and we recommend this hotel and also book to stay here again! Oh, and the language. We had curiously never problem, neither with german, with english. But a country without german dialect, german sausage is for some surely not acceptable? And something is stuck: so many nice acquaintances we stayed in a vacation still never met. Must also at the hotel are. Do not let you down. Oh, and who good coffee or hot choco(spiked!) It was our first vacation in Egypt and we were in the Sultan Bay in El Gouna felt very comfortable. The bathrooms, which we saw, have already gotten a bit old, but clean. All of the staff are the guests opposite attentive. Our wishes could be satisfied and small problem were immediately fixed. After we in december 2012 liked so much, we have our vacation in january again in the hotel Sultan Bay spend. We were with great pleasure the entire staff and these week we will remain unforgotten many thanks! We cannot staff starting at service, kitchen, cleaning, management only our biggest compliment! Some reviews we are completely incomprehensible and partly even rufschädigend. We can only repeat that we do not time not a bored or unfriendly staff seen. This was our altogether 21. Egypt vacation, so we can already say what the situation is. Most people leave unfortunately really your manners ... at home or are too cowardly in case of any problems immediately the management to go- here you will find any time, whether for praise or criticism an ear to lend. We are therefore as soon as possible and would certainly tourist the hotel Sultan Bay absolutely recommend. A tip from us would be before booking the hotel description to read, because then there is no unpleasant surprises like for instance no alcohol in all-inclusive at the beach-this is for all would make! Some guests use your vacation unfortunately not for relaxing, but to blaspheme - unfortunately this knowledge we have many other memorable vacations divided. read more

All inclusive is not all inclusive the three existing drinks, pay. Pool bar snacks, pay. Fish for the food, pay. Cakes at the pool bar, a joke, on a dessert plate 5 small same cakes undoing. Came evenings at 19 o'clock and traveled at 14 o'clock again from. 12 pm check out, wristband levy, should then Lunch and drinks pay, although we 7 days all inclusive and not 6,5 days booked all inclusive have. We refused, were given not even a coffee more. Absolutely not for children geeignert, no playground, pool area also nothing for children, beach at the ... hotel For children dangerous. The hotel's location is good, as well as the shops, restaurants and bars in a location nearby. Nevertheless i will not book this hotel again and it can also not recommend. The service in the restaurant and the insufficient cleaning the room are in this hotel not very big written. The staff seemed bored and are not really interested in that the guests completely be comfortable. In the current situation in the country and the poor working position it is amazing but so well... There is also other beautiful hotels nearby where the management attention. read more

The hotel 'Sultan Bay' belongs to the small (about 115 rooms) and also older hotels in El Gouna. Some need of renovation, but by a very good price-performance ratio was rather insignificant seemed (we had with renowned german tour operators a double room, as well as a double room for single use (both standard room) than individual journeys and for the double room/day 22,50 Euro/ for the double room for single use/day about 35 €(both with half board) paid! The hotel offers the half board also all-inclusive. The hotel, and the grounds appear overall tidy and well maintained, the ... grounds are very nicely decorated! The hotel is in our opinion a three stars standard in every respect. The guest structure from the age and nationalities mixed, -but the guests rather quiet and civilized way. The hotel is not barrier-free! We were already 4 time in El Gouna and the 2 time in the hotel 'Sultan Bay' and are also very like to come again! read more

    The rooms for a three stars hotel above average large, -functional, but tastefully decorated. Furniture and sanitary facilities are older, but functional. The rooms are air-conditioned and had a telephone and a tv (the latter we didn't use). The mini bar is in the all-inclusive offer not included in the price. It would be good, if water free of charge provided would, which is currently is not the case! (-but it is not expensive drinking water itself shopping: 1.5 liter = 2.5 litre. E. (circa 0,25 Euro) A kettle is not ready, but loud hotel info at the front desk for rent (we had such a brought.

    The 'sultan' bey has a restaurant, as well as two bars, which in our opinion as restaurant facilities for the size of the hotel fully adequate, the same goes for the food/beverages. The restaurant is very nice and made a neat and hygienic impression. (that cats in the outdoor area a restaurants move, we found not unusual, - in the restaurant itself you from the staff not tolerated!) The quality and quantity of the offered food and drinks was always very good, the food could be in our opinion more more typical of the country. The prices for not -alcoholic beverages are cheap (1.5 liter flat water 12 liter. E. = 1,50 Euro), alcoholic beverages - as in eastern countries not uncommon-relatively expensive (0.25 liter wine 45 litres. E. = 5,50 Euro), - in this respect, the all-inclusive offer a good alternative. Which we personally in comparison to last year not pleased, however, what we also already favourably-critical on site informed us, as we believe, that it the hotel good demand this to: 1) to the meals were no tablecloths more on the tables, neither in the restaurant, nor in the outdoor area. 2) music and dance was not more in the restaurant instead, which we really liked.

    The staff seemed altogether very friendly, the service in the restaurant - trinkgeldunabhängig -in a good time frame. - tips seemed deserves, we it gladly! The fremdsprachenkenntnisse are somewhat limited, - english however good to very good, - we had however also the impression, that even in other languages was possible over prositive, as well as negative criticism to communicate, since always a large interest in the guests and their needs was shown. The same was always friendly and professional and as far as possible, also immediately taken care of (2. blanket within a hour, repair of the heißwasserboilers in the bathroom within half a day, which in our opinion a good time frame for this is).     The hotel 'Sultan Bay' is located in El Gouna - down town, in a very central, but also very peaceful location. On foot you go to tamr henna with many shops and restaurants about 5 minutes, to Abu Tig Marina one goes about a three-quarters hour (with the cheap tuk tuk (25 liter. A hotel was'sicher once charm had unfortunately through the many dirt corners overlooked. Old can charm but not dirt we were often in Egypt dieswar the dirtiest. Black mold in the bathroom is very dangerous.     The hotel is in a dream-like location, on one side directly at the lagoon to other side there one comes quite fast to the center the small town El Gouna, the really nice is (of a architects extra for european expectations designed have been) and the for walking invites you to go. There are bars, restaurants and supermarkets and lots of shops, where you can stroll, without that you from obtrusive sellers is - very pleasant! The distance to the airport took about 30-40 minutes, so good and quick to reach and still no aircraft noise.

Cleanliness the clothes of the staff and tablecloths leave much to be desired. Locals as guests have a-may everything, also with clothes in the hotel pool. This guests press the level of the hotel powerful, but preferentially-probably the future of the hotel. Bathroom have urgently renovation necessary. Food very one-sided and partially cold. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were mostly friendly and accommodating. Many thanks to mr b. our request for a room in the 1. floor was despite low cost room fulfilled! We booked half board and were with the services very satisfied. For example a glass freshly squeezed orange juice costs 12 pound - 1,50 Euro and is absolutely delicious. The kitchen general is very good and varied, there was not a single food we didn't like. Only alone the furnishing is but ageing especially in the bath however a that did not bother us, there the cleaning ... overall was very good. Bad we felt how some people with cats bypass despite clear written evidence, are cats fed and so, of course, to beg tempted-sad because the cats are all very clean! We can recommend especially the parfümladen of Omar and Ahmed on Tamer henner capacity the quality and advice is wonderful - and the vienna café of Brigitte, where austrian, german and swiss meet and many friendships have arisen greetings. But also all other restaurants are very good and should be tried. Conclusion the vacation was every second and we will the hotel Sultan Bay with its beautiful flower arrangements definitely choose again. read more

    Very good english and german - the service was however, despite complaint, miserable. No complaints were implemented-all remained with the old. We once the glasses of of the pool bar with to the room and were almost bawled out-there is too few glasses...
