Great hotel, that very centrally located! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozily furnished and very spacious! The breakfast buffet was in terms of choice more than enough. If once again Amsterdam, then in dikker & thijs! read more

Big room, decor clean and tidy. Mini bar, kettle, air conditioning, tea, coffee, hair dryer, everything available and in good condition.

The breakfast room was very attractive, clean, discreet music. Selection for breakfast is adequate, hot, cold, sweet, juices, different bread rolls, spreads, cheese, sausage, different coffees, fruit, yoghurt... Everything was there.

Very nice and helpful staff, during our stay with no German, but everybody spoke English. Cleaning of the rooms thorough.

Nice location, directly on a canal! The rooms are relatively small, but well equipped. Negative: several tramlines directly in front of the hotel (even at night). All night bite raucous and powdered ice meet on the bridge in front of the hotel. Get a room on the inside; then take the view but does not apply. read more

stop Prinsengacht with 3 different lines (1,2 and 5 ) right outside the door. Within walking distance to all the sights, but is the central train station and the red light district a little farther away. But the Anne Frank Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Vondelpark and Westernkerk near the hotel. Even though the hotel is so central you can't hear noise from. We can't comment on breakfast, we otherwise self catering. If you arrive by car is a good idea to the P+R parking lots to use. The parking garage about 200m away from the hotel will be charged ... 45 Euro per day! P+R only costs 6 Euro per day and you get 1 ticket per person for free with the train into the center and on the day of departure back to the P+R parking lot. We parked in Bos en lommer and with 1 change needed about 30 minutes to the hotel. Shopping possibilities and catering can be found right outside the door read more

Right in the heart of central Amsterdam hotel archived

The Dikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel is a rather small, but fine hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. The reception area and also the Etagenbereich make a clean impression. Some areas such as the stairway, but in need of renovation or seem worn. The breakfast would be for a charge of Euro 12,50 (date: December 2009 ) you could rent. However, I did sampled every day, in the area surrounding the hotel, breakfast. read more

The rooms provide an adequate level comfort (toilet/shower - sink and box extra integrated into the room). Each room has a minibar, Hot water boiler for instant coffee or tea, telephone system, desk and a small sofa set. The rooms are clean but startinfg already somewhat worn.

During my stay I have met some guy and am - with one exception consistently disappointed. The front desk staff seemed arrogant and not very motivated and really wasn't possible to customer inquiries. Also ask in a classic "Where is the nearest cinema? " or "Where can I eat? " You get a short and lack of response. One receptionist it never found is required for your view from the screen. The room cleaning worked perfectly.

The location of the hotel is almost can't be beat. It is situated on the magnificent Prinsengracht at the corner of the Leidsestraat close to the Entertainmentviertels "Leidseplein". The tram (tram)lines 1.2 and 5 stops right outside the hotel (stop "Prinsengracht'). Almost all attractions are within walking distance or a short time by tram. Can be found in the surrounding area everything you needed (restaurants, bars, kiosk, etc. )
