The size of the standard double room was completely sufficient (about 40 square meter). The bathroom was completely newly renovated, with a great amenities (large walk-in shower with plenty of space). The rooms are very quiet, the direct neighbors you don't hear a thing (good soundproofing). Rooms and hotel including garden with the pool were clean, no reason to complaints. Wi-fi was only in the lobby, the all-inclusive offer was to our fullest satisfaction. Food was varied and plentiful, everyone always found something, which tasted great. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. With a chef ... could one even a few private words in english change. But also all other staff for example reception, room service and Entertainers were fully ok; with chamat from the front desk and the boss of the reception (Gisela?) There was also a communication on german possible. The hotel even made a reservation of a seat for the return flight, Without problems!     Spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. Air conditioning was not disturbing, coffee maker and minibar were for all inclusive was not necessary.

    Leisure activities were limited, but still sufficient. It became never boring one. The entertainers were great, could, inter alia, even a little german. They had always contact with the individual guests, but never intrusive. Pool and garden very clean, beach chairs had a more.     Direct beach location, however, is the sea in october generally very busy, so no real swimming in the sea due to undercurrents possible. Was a bit of a shame, the hotel can nothing for the nature. The weather was very good, little rain and not too high humidity at pleasant temperatures. Transfer with private car about 1.5 hours. In the immediate vicinity there was no night life, which we didn't miss it. The centre of kalutara is not too far away. The hotel is located just north of kalutara. The train on the obvious line, you could barely hear almost never, at night anyway.

    We had room 207 on the 2. floor with a large terrace with a view of the pool and the sea. The room itself was quite large, with a double bed, an extra bed, a table and two chairs. There was a tv (no german channels) and air conditioning. The bathroom is newly renovated but quite small. Unfortunately were on the walls, as well as on the picture above the bed already mold traces.

    There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars. We were always in the main restaurant, as there are buffet was. The food was varied however always well seasoned. There were different salads and a wide selection of sweet desserts. Sausage and cheese, as well as the ice cream were always well chilled. At the show cooking, there was freshly prepared meat and fresh fish. The staff was very friendly and the tables were quickly clean again. On the weekends was it was always quite full, since the locals groups in the hotel.

    During the day, the entertainment was ok. There was water aerobics, water polo, crocket and beach volleyball. Unfortunately the evening entertainment is not much, so that it always is pretty quiet. For small children this hotel is not suitable. There is no playground, no kids club and no disco. The pool is adequate and the water quality is ok. The beach chairs and umbrellas at the pool are a little bit, especially if on the weekend the locals come. As you also on the beach not could, then everything by the pool.

    The hotel is about 100 kilometer away from the airport. The transfer time to the hotel was pretty long. We were only after 3.5 hours in the hotel. Traffic in Colombo is simply amazing. From october the highway, so that you get into the resorts is. The hotel lies rather somewhat apart of kalutara. It is therefore advisable, this hotel with all-inclusive to book. You can also with the tuk tuk kalutara drive. This are right in front of the hotel. The driver are all very friendly and cost about 3-5 Euro.

The specified 3.5 stars are in my opinion an understatement. It is a very nice hotel in top location. Beach and pool are beautiful. Particularly to emphasize is the restaurant with a variety of meals in fine quality! Free wi-fi throughout the property. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful! Overall a really good hotel, the standard was okay. The location off of commerce (5 kilometer to the city of kalutara) makes any shopping. The management has very professional one complaint response. Independent travelers who as you under the all-inclusive guests very lost, the price level is clearly higher than the regional standard, the automatic translation for credit cards in Euro is inconvenient. The guest has to be prepared to, that loud groups in the hotel (not only on the weekends), which one in the property not to be missed. The hotel is located quite a way out. The next town kalutara is about 5 kilometers away. Right behind the house is a train line where every half hour a train long drives! The hotel has been freshly renovated. The rooms are clean and very big. Wi-fi is free, the front desk was very bad. In our first week, there were about 200 children from Kazachstan in the hotel.     The rooms are huge. We had a room on the 5. floor with sea view. The room was in the morning and cleaned in the evenings and every day there was fresh towels and beach towels. Our room had a water digester, tvs with indian and english channels, rain shower

    There is once the main restaurant the waves. There, breakfast, lunch and dinner in form of a buffet takes place. One can between european and sri lankischer cuisine. There is plenty of choice and the food very delicious. We had all-inclusive. Evening you could between the buffet and a 4 course menu in the restaurant yacht choose. There one gets a very good service. In addition there was still in the garden, the restaurant prices. All restaurants were very clean. The service is good but quite slow!

    The hotel is directly at the beach. Unfortunately, this is not very nice. As soon as you exit the hotel you directly. Tuk tuks are right in front of the hotel. Restaurants and shops there are none nearby.

    We booked a standard room (41 square meter) and extra no budget room, because we had wishes-separate beds or separate mattress, upper floor and a shower-and got a the cabana a small room, ground floor, large, common bed and bathroom with bathtub.     The service is great. We have 2 times changed the room and after a complaint on the eating culture given the opportunity in kostpflichtigen restaurant to eat.     The hotel is directly at the beach. In the sea is only just after the breakfast be possible. We did not make however. Very great hotel with very friendly staff. Also the entertainers were super nice. There were only a few guests were there, it was very quiet. Except weekends when the locals come there is something loud. But it didn't bother us. The beach we can not recommend, because there was a lot of trash. There our kids anyway rather the pool prefer us this not continued to disturb. The beach is to the hotel, but is open to the public. If you to the beach you have prepared from local distributors everything possible sale to be addressed. Please be careful, there ... are several serious for everyone. Even if you a price negotiated is it by any reasons more expensive. Especially if money flowed and you get something should. Our council please only have to pay when the product as is or only a part deposit. No cell phone sim cards from salesmen to buy or get, way too expensive. Even in handyladen'dialogue' as you get the sim card for about 200 Sri Lanka rupee or sometimes loud our friends (is sri lankaner ) also in vain. What i did not was found that these dealers our famous threatened than he from the hotel picked us up, with us something to do. So as mentioned highest caution, these are very aggressive. This hotel you can recommend with a good conscience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Language english, little german. Very good food. One can between local fare (spicy but delicious) and western fare can choose. There were only a few germans in the hotel. More english, and first of all russians and ukrainians, but not unpleasant. Very nice refurbished hotel. Everything clean and tidy. Great room. Staff are very friendly and always tried, to fulfill every request. Dining room very cool because hochgedrehter air conditioning. Very few german, too many tourists from the Ukraine, but very discreet occurrence. Many ' beach boys' on hotelzaun at the beach (on the hotel complex must not), the all possible want to sell and to the part. Very annoying. Especially younger women opposite very pushy. The hotel was in 2012 completely renovated. Everything is therefore completely new and very clean. Especially the baths are completely newly tiled and very nice. It has several restaurants, while most meals in the large hall are held. There is also an à la carte restaurant, which but also in all-inclusive extra costs. Sometimes there is the meals in one of the two youth there were outside. The pool is large enough around itself to erfrischen, to look seriously laps it is almost a bit too small. The childrens pool is in the pool integrated but also separated, so that ... the small not 'accidentally' into the deeper water can. The hotel complex has a 5-storey main building, in which almost all rooms (except for some on the 1. floor) sea view. In addition there is Cabanas, 2-stöckige bungalows with 4 rooms, which rather in the garden the hotel to find. The 'lawn' is laid out with a lot of trees and palm trees, so that you also natural shade. There were always enough chairs also with umbrellas available. Unfortunately there are on the beach no chairs, as the beach is public and doesn't belong to the hotel.     The rooms are relatively large and functional. Large double bed, desk, flat screen tv, mini bar, sitting area with sofa. In all the rooms wi-fi internet access is available. Everything is freshly renovated. Only the bathroom was a bit small. For this the bathroom was completely new and very plush. The rooms were always very clean. There were 2 times times a day housekeeping. Mornings was cleaned and in the evening the bed turned down and the beach hand towels exchanged. Helps it by the way from time to time a hundred (Rupees) put on the bed. So we always had new beach towels, shampoo/shower gel and a new bottle of water. We were also often asked, wether everything is okay or, if we needed anything else. If something was missing, it was delievered.

    Very delicious food! For breakfast there were everything your heart desires. From the fruit, muesli with yoghurt or milk, toast or fresh rolls with various cheese or cold meats to beans and sausages. You could get an omelet freshly prepared. In addition always pots with indian food. Afternoons and evenings the food was very varied. There were european dishes (for example pasta napolitana ). Otherwise a grill station on the you your fish/seafood freshly prepared. Furthermore equipped also always the indian dishes. Salads, soups and so on. Particularly worthy of mention of course the dessert buffet always with fresh fruit and lots of goodies. In the main restaurant but you should always have a jacket, since the air conditioning here always in full swing.

    Very friendly and attentive. The hotel had only a month before we traveled, newly opened. Therefore, there were only a few guests there and most of the employees were glad, if it was to do there. Wishes were fulfilled immediately. Tips were not expected, we were also so very good. We have in the restaurant first at the end of the vacation a tip, as the employees very pleased.

    In the hotel there is a fitness room, a sauna and a steam bath. The fitness room we a few times used. But with so few guests were there, was the air conditioning in the gym not the whole day (which also is totally understandable). So we notice given, if we the fitness room to use wanted.     The hotel is located south of Colombo. What the airport shuttle is noticeable, because you around Colombo by and the highway not finished yet is. The hotel is about 5 kilometers away from kalutara in a small village. To the main road it is approximately 400 meters. There you could find all shops/supermarkets for daily use (if you don't booked all inclusive has). About 100 meters away from the hotel is a stop (stop no 1). From there you can for 10 Rupees (converted about 6 cents!) Kalutara drive. From there you could then with the train further after galle drive. The tuk-tuk one by the way pays circa 7 American Dollar kalutara. The beach is far stretching and very nice. But we have not far to walk.

The hotel has the very low expectations, due to the other reviews the we, to undercut a multiple. The first room was a joke (mold, shuttered windows, freshly painted bath etc.) and we got after intensive protests a different room (in other words, the plaster here only a little paint on the ceilings and the bathroom could use the wrecking ball) The hotel does not lie in the absolute 'ghetto-environment' and is suitable only for a sun holiday. The staff wants a good portion of tip to advance a little motivated to be, before the first handshake and then ... each third day again a bit. With complaints the hotel can not deal at all, we are simply no piece. To this end it wishes to spoil it, with the drinking money partyfreudigen tourists not, so all can see away if, for example, the feral dogs to be fed with food. Was a very nice holiday in a beautiful country. The wildlife is simply very beautiful, Chipmunk to the beach. One must of course be not a lover as my previous reviewers! SIM card from dialogue and to call home. Love the people have a read each of our wishes were fulfilled and, also without tips! The sea was unfortunately no possibility to swim, to be careful with the high waves. Herb is unfortunately absolute ripoff. The is located directly on the beach hotel. I can so many negative opinions here, the have been also not understand. Staff is very friendly, the cleanliness in the rooms and in the facility is very good. The hotel is already something old and in need of renovation, what me but not particularly disturbed has. One feels here simply well. Only the waiter at the bar were something Bluez and there was unfortunately in the glasses lack. Entertainment was as good as not what us was very pleasant. The sea was unfortunately the swim through the high waves not possible ..., but has the 'surfing' made all the more fun. Unfortunately are on the last two days a herd of Poland approached, the really have behaved impossible, were really annoying. The train behind the hotel did not bother us. We have booked our trips directly over FTI, with the beach Boys us was simply to unsafe. Bewertung lesen

We were with friends in this hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the nice resort, it is also not more the newest you, so to a lot of trouble to renovate the property. During our stay from 2 february 2010 to 17 february 2010 all four floors had recently been painted. The outdoor area is well maintained and the immediate pickings is of course wonderful. All rooms has a very nice view over the sea and the sunset. As everywhere, for a small tip is almost every wish was fulfilled. Price/performance ratio is on each case. The total outcome of the cleaning was sufficient, although there was some need of improvement in some areas. The all inclusive services included three dishes, all non-alcoholic drinks and the local alcoholic drinks, but there was a wide range available despite the limits. Something that disturbed or confused us was that you had to name the number of your room and leave a signature at every drink you ordered, although you booked all inclusive. You ... got the feeling of being kept under surveillance of what you were drinking. The guests mainly came from Great Britain, a few German and Indian guests were also there.     The room was big and spacious but in a slight need of repair as far as the floor was concerned (tiles shook). The amenities were good: phone, sofa with table, balcony with sea view, minibar, safe (but a bit rickety fixed in the closet), kettle with coffee powder and tea bags, air-conditioning and TV (few international TV channels). The bathroom was a bit fixer-upper as far as the santary fittings were concerned. The covering of the bathtub fall off when you touched it. The cleanness was all right.

    There were a restaurant for the three meals and two air-conditioned bars. The quality of the dishes was good, however, they repeated very often and not as usual in the weekly regular cycle. Cleanness and hygiene were good. The cuisine was mainly local, so I missed a multicultural cuisine. The atmosphere was good, they played a soothing background music and sometimes piano or guitar players created a good atmosphere.

    The staff in the gastronomy area wasn't friendly at all. You didn't get the feeling of being welcome. The drinks were sometimes served after eating. The only foreign language they spoke was English. I couldn't complain about the service at the room cleaning, friendliness and results were correct here. Their dealings with complaints was very negligent, that means they didn't try to rectify the faults and you didn't notice any sign of sympathy or hear an apology.

    The was an entertainment offer twice or three times a day and you could use a fitness room for free. Moreover, you had the possibility to shop jewellery, clothes and souvenirs. The beach was clean in the area of the hotel section but after that there was a big need for cleanness. The water was very turbulent from March to October (danger of undercutting), but from Novemter to February it was smooth and clear and you could swim well in it. The beach chairs were in need of repair since one part of their headboard weren't height-adjustable anymore and the wheels were falling of. The pool had a very nice structure, there was a pool bar, a non-swimmer's and a swimmer's area. However, there was a slight lack of cleanness in the pool (fallen off palm leaves etc.). The showers at the pool were in a normal, respectively good state. There was a discoteque, but no events took place in there.

    The hotel was directly by the ocean. The next town Kalutara was 2 km away. It took about 2,5 hours with the car to the airport of Colombo. Shopping and entertainment possibilities were rather bad since the hotel was in the middle of a local housing estate and therefore no evening strolling at a promenade with stores or bars was possible. The excursions were offered from different tour operators and were so far so good, but you should check the ratio between price and performance before.

The hotel was a small one and therefore you could watch everywhere. All around it was a big palm garden in which you always found enough free pool chairs which were placed in the shade. We actually liked the hotel very much, but with the facade for example, you could see that a renovation wouldn't do harm. The area was always clean and neat.     All bars and the Waves buffet restaurant were included in the all inclusive package. In addition, there were two à la carte restaurants we never tried out. All in all, we were content with the food and we tolerated everything well. For breakfast, freshly prepared eggs, cold sausages, cheese, jam etc. were offered as well as curry dishes already. The lunch and dinner buffet contained many local dishes which were quite spicy at times but tasted quite good. A few international dishes like pasta were also always available. Something we didn't quite understand was that the meat often contained small bones or was tough. However, you always found something to eat which also tasted good.

    Knowledges in foreign languages were very good. You could get along easily with English. We were completely content with the room service. Our room was always nicely done for a small tip. In the gastronomy area the employees were quite after tips, which could be quite annoying in an all inclusive holiday. The dealt well with complaints. Our room card didn't work as a key and they immediately took care of it and changed the lock.

There were only few activities like volleyball and also in the evening it was rather quiet in the hotel. So, someone who was looking for a club holiday or a kids club was wrong here.     The hotel was a small one and therefore you could watch everywhere. All around it was a big palm garden in which you always found enough free pool chairs which were placed in the shade. We actually liked the hotel very much, but with the facade for example, you could see that a renovation wouldn't do harm. The area was always clean and neat. When we visited the hotel most guests were British with a few German.

    The hotel was directly at the beach and about 2,5 hours away from Colombo. Nearby (about 15 minutes drive with the tuk-tuk) was the town of Kalutara with shopping possibilities and possibilities for a massage and the like. These were much cheaper in Kalutara than in the hotel itself. The area in front of the hotel wasn't very inviting, however you didn't notice the railway lines in the hotel. We didn't like the beach and the ocean very much. The ocean often had very high waves due to the monsoon and, therefore swimming wasn't always possible. There were always beach boys at the beach, they were annoying but also offered drives to Kalutara, excursions or the like. These were much cheaper there than the offered services in the hotel.
