We were on the through journey for one night in this lovely, old hotel and can only good things to say.
The house was built in 1587 and is therefore a bit badly stained, which we however not when disturbing felt. We had a calm room to the yard side and the mattresses and bedding were in perfect condition. The shower is bright and newly tiled. The only drawback, if any, were the squeaky floor boards, but the part to a hotel of this age! The welcome from the staff at the front desk and the young hotel manager was ... very friendly, although we unannounced, quite late in the evening, tired and hungry at the hotel plus. The food was reasonably priced and high quality and optically a highlight. From €you could from ten chops to fillet, wild game, fish with side dishes, including salads, as well as a very large selection of dishes to find. Smaller dishes are offered in great diversity at reasonable prices. The neighborhood wine in good quality for 3.20 euro is also hardly tier! The restaurant in the old, stylish rooms is very clean and very comfortably furnished. Here one must simply feeling well! At breakfast there was nothing to complain about, except that perhaps too much packaged was served. There were juices, cereals and Quark, sausage, salami, ham, different hard and soft cheese places, many selected marmeladenpäckchen, boiled eggs and fruit.
We can only recommend this hotel and there will definitely visit again. read more

When we arrived, the front desk was not occupied, a server has helped then quickly. We had a room with an extra bed in the Annex. The hotel was noisy. The mattresses were worn out. The bathroom is small and the shower cubicle is dated and has both in the plates joints, as well as to the likely Duchabtrennung black mold (or dirt) on. A definition was not possible, because the light was quite dark. The sink is the veneer of wood by appeared clearly affected. When my wife the hair dryer in the room was plugged in (plug in ... the bathroom didn't work properly), the dust from the Multi-light switch on the wall had been blown up. The breakfast was good and varied, the rolls warmed up rolls seemed as though. On the food we couldn't comment, as we ate out.
On departure we didn't asked, whether we were satisfied. In the room there was no corresponding questionnaire. read more

The bathroom with shower and toilet has no window. There are obviously no non-smoking rooms. It was an Intolerable humidity during our stay in the room. The window we could due to the high Lärmbelästung by road not open. The beds creaky impossible. A healthy Schlafposition couldn't be taken due to the bad mattresses. read more

I was on a business trip for 2 nights with breakfast in the hotel to pot of. The hotel made a good impression, intimate, rustic. The room at the top floor of the cultivation was very spacious. The decor of wood looked though comfortable, but at least a bit stuffy. There's a small television. The shower in white is good and clean. There was a buffet for breakfast, unfortunately a bit dark basement. The quality and the taste is great for me. As I was out for the day, I can't say anything to the restaurant. The menu sound but ... very good. The surroundings: A ten minute walk from the train station. From here regular S-bahn connection toward Ludwigshafen Mannheim, Neustadt, Kaiserslautern Schifferstadt is a small village, there isn't much to see. Unfortunately there are in the town itself except train no regular bus. The next supermarket is 30 minutes but the S-Bahn are several great excursions possible. Especially Neustadt an der Weinstrasse is highly recommended. A beautiful old town with small streets and many Weinschänken. My conclusion: for business or short stay ok. read more
