The hotel was a auswahlhotel a sternreise and my expectations sufficiently fulfilled.
There are different room, for a room to the roadside and apartment room in the courtyard. The rooms to the street side are very noisy, as it is the main shopping street in Reykjavik and are partly hopping car parades pass. If you like quiet has, is in the courtyard in good hands.
In the courtyard there was a outside area, with small round tables and rattan-backs -chairs beestückt was. If there the weather permits in the area in the backyard on a drink a, or simply the ... day off.
In the stay the breakfast was included.
Further guests in the hotel were too many German and English. read more

The hotel is very central, one reaches on foot the whole city center. Pleasant was, that it (at least in the summer) in the pedestrian area is, therefore, the noise from the street within limits. We stayed in 2 different rooms, in the first us proud told we a studio upgraded were, which however as tiny Privacy turned out. The 2. room (' normal' room?) which we inhabited was then spacious and even had a couch and a seating area. Somehow not completely logical. The rooms were apart from that however reasonable. Of the serving staff there was only a ... only young lady friendly and helpful. Another older lady and a older Mr, the partly at the front desk sat, had customer service still not heard much. The gentleman did not greet once and the lady had a extremely unfriendly tone. read more

The hotel lies in the middle of the main shopping street of Reykjavik and is a ideal location for explorations on foot, as well as by public transport (the vibrant bus lines drive about in the 20 to 30 minutes tact and are really on time). We had a quiet, large double room to the yard side with a small, fully equipped kitchen, also the bathroom was clean and spacious.
Not so outstanding was the breakfast buffet with 2 different toast and whole wheat bread (which many a time rare and not always immediately refilled ), 3 types of sausage ..., 2 sorts of cheese ( always the same), 2 sorts of jams, muesli, 3 types of Quark/ yoghurt and fruit. Warm meals were not offered, also no eggs.
Surprisingly, the TV was good with German programs stocked, we would have not really expected. read more
