Hotel Shangri-La Sydney^{(5 stars)}

It will be different room categories to on the one hand, the size and the furniture in the rooms and on the other hand the view different. We stayed in one of the four "Horizon Premier Grand Harbor View" on the 31st floor with a fantastic view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Rocks, Circular quay and the Sydney Opera. These rooms are located on the corner of the building with three large windows on two sides. A panoramic view is therefore warranted. There are several other room categories at Horizon Club, all in the 30 -35 . floors. The "Horizon Premier Grand Harbor View" are 60 m2 was also quite large with décor (closet with electronic safe, ironing board, iron), small UPHOLSTERED suite, coffee, a desk with telephone and internet access, double bed, flat panel TV on a TV-furniture and bar cabinets (mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities). The room is carpeted. The air conditioning can be adjusted. The decor is classic modern and made a very good impression. The large bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and sink and the usual accessories, round the good picture this room type. The privileges of the "Horizon Club rooms" were private check-in at Horizon Club, every day 2 bottles of water and fruit in our room, laundry and cleaning one of Anzuges or dress on arrival, Schuhservice, continental breakfast and evening cocktails in the Horizon club lounge, daily newspaper, free Internet access (broadband or wireless)

In the restaurant "Café mix" on 1 . Floor serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dinner buffet for AUD 68 hasn't really convince us. The Vorspeisebuffet and the hot buffet had no enough choice. The dessert buffet was more versatile. The value for money left a lot to be desired. The interior is modern and in warm brown/beige tones. On Friday night was the restaurant of many groups (Christmas dinner) and so very, very loud and busy. The expected quiet and sophisticated evening much so deep into the water. On the 36th. Floor, the "Alitude restaurant" with exquisite Australian kitchen (not used). Also on this floor is the "Blu Horizon Bar". In the taxiservice, "The lobby lounge", where you can get cocktails and drinks. The Horizon Club rooms for guests is available on the 30th floor a lounge, where the breakfast and evening cocktails can be taken. The breakfast buffet (06.00-10.00h , weekends until 11 :00 to 17 :00 ) is small but fine with many Leckerreien. Fresh fruit juices, cereals, and fresh fruit, salmon, cheese platter, sausage, breads etc. During the day light snacks, fruit, juices, soft drinks, coffee, tea, etc. Served. Between 18.00-20.00h there are free drinks (incl. Wine, sparkling wine, spirits etc. ) With a small hot and cold buffet.

The check-in at Horizon Club was friendly, personal and very efficient. Upon arrival at 11 :00 to 17 :00 we could already move into our room. The suitcases were immediately delivered to the room. The room was cleaned twice presented. In the lounge of the Horizon club you very friendly and courteously, for breakfast or at the evening drinks as well as the purser service desk. In the restaurant "Café mix" we were not satisfied with the service. Lackluster staff, long wait to order, long wait to delivery the drinks, buffet was not always replenished and dishes were only lukewarm. Also the Zimmerbatches unsatisfactory, the elevator for the respective floor share. This worked frequently not and you could therefore the room and the lounge at Horizons clubs not walking distance. During our 2 -day stay we had the electronic cards let the front desk 3 times encode new.

In the 2 . Floor Alysium spa and health club with indoor pool, spa, and fitness center. An outdoor swimming pool, with a sun terrace would have been nice.

Large city hotel with 36 floors and 563 rooms and suites in the best location in Sydney. The hotel is very well maintained and facilities makes a clean and neat impression. The modern high-rise and the interiors are today's needs of a luxury hotel.

The hotel is located in a historical quarter The rocks on a slight hill between Sydney Harbor Bridge and Sydney Opera. The Circular Quai (junction of ferries, buses and trains) and to the Rocks and the George Street (main shopping street) it is a few minutes walk. Access to the hotel is by the above locations from partly very steep and for elderly or handicapped people quite strenuous. But a taxi costs not much. Top location and best view, no other hotel in Sydney this can offer.

We stayed in an executive suite with separate living and bedroom, from all rooms incl. Bathroom was huge, great views either on Harbor bridge, the opera house or Darling Harbor. Maybe not top modern furniture and decorated in an understated elegant in beige/green/brown tones and contrary to other reviews, carpets and furniture perfectly well-kept, also in the rest of the hotel none.

Buffet breakfast in the café-mix standard for a 5 * hotel accordingly, on the other hand, but nothing out of the ordinary, relatively much action by many business people very nice evenings in the Horizon club with delicious canapés and finger food, pleasant nice service.

Mostly very nice, especially at Horizon Club, if a little disappointed in spite of many previous Please and email contacts for a room on the upper floors at check in then but "only" 13th floor assigned a mixed friendliness with the staff in the café mix, partly super nice, but others were rather smelly.

Free access to internet in the Horizon club, swimming pool, relatively large, beautifully designed, fitness center available, not closer.

Not in the most Einrichtungsstand, but in terms of cleanliness and maintenance was nothing to complain about the location makes up for everything.

Probably the best location, with the Sydney has to offer: top views both the room and the Horizon bar/club, right on the old quarter the rocks and only short walk to the ferry and the Opera House, also Darling Harbor, business/shopping district taxi still within walking distance to the airport is about 30 minutes. 45aud, taxi to the fish market about 12 AUD.

Although the rooms maybe not brand new, so you are also to 100 % of the 5 star standard. Our room with a view of the Opera was very roomy, absolutely clean, well insulated from hair and had about the robes, and to all the right paraphernalia, tea and coffee. We have always rather wounds, in such hotels that you have to defend yourself against your window, that the bedsheets were changed every day. Who does probably at home ...

The breakfast buffet was also very good and met our expectations of a 5 star hotel.

We only the service at the front desk, from the concierge, and breakfast in use. Everything was great and this house adequate.

The hotel is a large, typical city hotel deluxe with everything that belonged to it. The clientele consists primarily businesspeople, what does the atmosphere quite good.

There is a better location in Sydney hardly. The view from the rooms with "Opera-view" of the Opera House is simply can't be beat. We had booked it and also in full glory. The action is about 3 minutes walk away, what our taste just the right distance.

The room was large, the views are spectacular. We spend lots of time on the window for sitting! The furniture was older and also some screws had gone astray. The bathroom was large, spacious and clean. The room cleaning was good.

This one sun is too much, but is not Sightseers will find. We had a room including breakfast. The condition of the dining restaurant was already described. For the record, Stained furniture and on the carpet were all kind of food the last time. The table we were seated was never clean. Coffee cups there was only 2 for 4 people and had to be complained about, as I didn't like the lady lipstick before me on my cup of! The lychees were moldy, the rest of fruit didn't look better. The eggs were cold from the kitchen and the bacon was on the part fat. On the clothing of the staff I don't lose word. After these experiences have no other restaurant nwir tried more in the hotel. The breakfast was not only one day so catastrophical but all 3 days!

The front desk staff was friendly. Sure DERTOUR their reservation with upgrade in German makes the people can't! Our complaints concerning our room was at least after a few minutes settled nicely. The concierge is spectacular!

The hotel is very centrally located. The public facilities are clean, but show signs of use. The breakfast mention I later!

The location is fine. Traffic noise we stayed at the Grand Harbor view room on the 9th. Floor didn't notice them. There were plenty of shopping possibilities and restaurants.
