A true jewel downtown San Diego. About this hotel from, there are many restaurants and bars as the petco park easy to reach on foot. One is near the harbor and in the evening for a lot of entertainment. On the beautiful roof terrace one can enjoy a round of in the pool rotate at sunset the hustle and bustle of of the city watch and have a drink. Between 17 and 18 o'clock there is a 'wine hour' instead. There is complimentary wine and light snacks. In the morning there was fresh coffee and various newspapers free. The staff ... are extremely helpful and fulfilled every request immediately. So i was for my birthday a map and a bottle of wine compensate. We were already twice at the solamar and will visit again. The hotel is relatively small compared to the surrounding, but is this nothing. read more

Very nice hotel for partygoer in gaslamp quarter San Diego. Bars, and shopping possibilities easily accesible on foot. Beach reachable by car or public transport (about 30 minutes Coronado beach). Hotel pool with a bar in the fourth floor. The pool is pretty small and as a focal point for bar. Noise from the rooms on the pool side with loud music till two o'clock in the morning. Noise on the street by bars (especially at the weekends). The hotel's restaurant jsix overpriced. Price/performance rather bad. (Valet) parking at the hotel $36 a day. read more

The Kimpton solamar in San Diego was our fourth stop on route from San Francisco, Santa Barbara, on liter A. to San Diego. The hotel made a very neat impression. Only parking was a problem. Parking cost is per night-36 US dollar. Not exactly cheap. Directly opposite there was parking for 25 $per night. Not a bargain, but OK. You pay for in San Diego everywhere for parking. So remember, if you come by car. The hotel was very well kept and the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was on the fourth floor and invited to relax. He ... was unfortunately only too warm. Evening transformed into the pool lounge on a party area. Unfortunately we had a room right next to the pool, so we had to go the one or the other, later to fall asleep, especially on the weekend and this was the case. There were more younger people staying at the hotel. The location was great. Right next door was a baseball stadium and the popular gaslamp quarter. Here you will find all of the restaurants and shopping possibilities and can stroll around in the evening without hesitation. Really very nice. highly recommend the beach in Coronado, where you have a stunning bridge arrives. Here you should go to the silver beach. But always remember, that the water really is very cold. I can recommend a trip to SeaWorld and the zoo. Both were day trips. Entrance costs 70 $for adults and SeaWorld zoo entrance costs 40 $. But that one was really worth it! Is actually a must! All in all, we both found San Diego really worth a visit and is therefore to be recommended! read more

Very centrally located hotel in the old town from San Diego; the famous' gaslamp quarter ' is only one block away from the hotel. The rooms were very elegant furnished and very clean. Minibar and snacks were at reasonable prices available. We had a room on the 7. floor with a view of the pool and the pool bar, that on the roof amount the 4. floor-yet we have nothing from the music or similar belongs. In the morning there is free coffee in the lobby and in the late afternoon, white and red wine, also free of charge-available. Not ... included in the price are the parking fees – this beat with 36 us -$ per day to book in the more immediate vicinity are free public parking spaces available. Who a few meters like to run, also a few Dollar save. read more

Already when checking in you feel almost like at home in this hotel. Check in was quiet, warm and competent. Here we were already to benefits, such as the morning free coffee and complimentary wine tasting in the early evening attentive. The lobby decor is modern and very comfortable. Our room was spacious and modern. A flat-screen TV was available. The room was very clean, and was cleaned thoroughly every day. The pool and pool bar are located on the level 4 Floor on the roof terrace and also made a very well-kept and great impression. During our stay we ... vouchers for an American breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, which we took advantage of. The breakfast was very good and included coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice, 2 order eggs, bacon or sausage, fried potatoes, and toast. All in all a brilliant hotel. Small tip for baseball fans: The hotel is just a 2 -minute walk from the Petco Park. read more

The hotel is located in the "Gaslamp Quarter" from where you very good walking distance of the harbor. On the fourth floor offers a swimming pool with bar and lounge. Very beautiful with a great view. Also for a small "sag" in the evening great. We did get breakfast vouchers. These can be enjoyed in the restaurant next door (Jsix) redemption. There was a small fruit salad, a coffee and a danish pastries, fruit juice (delicious every day freshly baked) Alternatively you could for only $5 something from the map choose. The hotel was very stylish. I enjoyed the room ... absolutely loved it. Very nicely decorated. It was as said was good walking distance of the harbor and to the "Gaslamp Quarter". In the immediate area were numerous shops, bars and restaurants. You can book tours at the harbor. Hop on hop off" as we had a car and navi equipped we took a brochure and the walk itself funky. An easy way to visit San Diego in its USA holiday glass-fronted bathroom, you should plan my opinion quiet three nights. It is a very nice town with great harbor, beach, gardens etc. And of course great climate. Also the place to "Coronado" is very nice.
