We were touring the club bentota in march. The hotel is a bit outdated already but it is always make an effort smaller some repairment works to repair. Special emphasis will be on order and cleanliness on the rooms, the food, as well as in the whole complex put. The entire area, on a headland (between river and sea) location is integrated perfectly with the beautiful, animal artenvielfältige nature. When the construction was especially on local (in the region) occurring materials respected. Particularly beautiful is the very broad-deserted and long flat sloping sandy beach. The vacation was actually very nice, if it weren't for niki tours would have been. We can't understand, as some holiday makers this n. positively mention We were already often abroad on vacation, but like that something is us never happened. So, dear tourists beware n. and the trip mangroventour, should actually just a boat tour are, we ended up but still in an herb garden (spici-garten). Don't go there. The prices are way too high. As we were there to dash and thread has cheated, we got the police turned. N. wanted us to help, but everything was just ... hot air. After we heard, that the brother of n. this spici garden operates, was everything to us clearly. We have half the money refunded, but the trouble is still deep seats. N. will surely be its change name, in 1-2 months means he michi or Paul, thus watched out.
But now the positive. The complex is really nice. The beach almost deserted. It is always waves, so swimming is not much there.
The food is excellent. But very spicy. You always find something. The routes rather in the guide. So high are the price differentials not. The service is good as well. Had a clogged shower, was the same day. The drive from the airport is very long. Almost four hours, as in Colombo very high traffic prevails.

Club bentota is in a fantastic landscape embedded, the shows the drive over the river to the hotel. The buildings are mostly built of wood and fit well in the lush countryside. The whole complex carefully maintained but without the nature to destroy. If you are a sterile glass or betonpalast searches is here in the wrong place. After a week trip we have the peace and quiet and you in our beautiful bungalow no 334 found, with a view into nature and the quiet sound of the indian- ozenan, as we by the travel agent have liked, thank you ... very much. read more

I were with the hotel (proffering) content and the hotel seemed partly also 'caribbean' (palm trees, blue water, waves, kilometerweiter menschenleerer sandy beach.)! It is a 3 star hotel and it is the condition (deluxe room) well - especially win through the cleanliness a better impression-a modern /posh hotel it's just not. But romantic.-)
There is friendliness even without giving any tip - sometimes the employees however by the smear of the guests (pool places) then educated-and vice versa. Tip is however usual - 50-100 Rupees - but everybody has to decide for himself. In the wallet of ... the travel agents (example FTI) is possible guidelines for the amount of the tips. The employees are mostly not intrusive -, and the beach vendors, by a fence from the property are separated. The is very pleasant.
Shopping possibilities: if one with the ferry on the other side of the hotel brought to you, you can after the exit turn right and is on the main street also a small shop with drinks and snacks or if one then still 5-10 minutes further is on the same side of the road a 'supermarket', the enough choice contains and a bank for changing money.
Disappointment excursion possibilities: as here on holiday check from a vacationer niki and Mike recommended were, we wanted to the ' locals' support and therefore instead of our travel agency (FTI) a river cruise when niki booked with visit herb garden. Unfortunately niki a german 'Ayurveda doktor' organized, the us with the prices quite ripped off and we had the 3-10 times the usual prices for these products paid. Massageöl small with kräuterbalsam, 2 fragrant oil small, 2 spice tea and a vanillearoma -but i have 120 Euro paid! The confidence to nik (i) was broken and the oral assurance of the dr, that these products in sri lanke all the same quality (with produktnummern ) and government-fixed prices (reinforced with a price list in the gewürzgartenshop )-then as falsehood turned out. There is no government-fixed prices-where am i supposed to know, as a tourist?! I have the bill and photographs of the products with me! Apropos: a good Ayurveda-pharmacy gives it also on this main road (again 10-15 minutes further from the supermarket on the right-hand side shortly before the bridge over the river). There are the same products 3a 10 times cheaper than in the herb garden and ichhoffen, that the herb garden products at least no fake are.
Perhaps benefits this experience other vacationers, that they carefully and perhaps forbears niki in future such-that was the only annoying in the holiday! Trust is good, but you as a tourist just ignorant, and trusts the guide. Tip: stay away from herb garden or at least from the shop! We then all other travel with FTI -and that was a good thing-we were insured and could not have such a rip-off with the tour operator over the guide (trip) could complain about. read more

The complex was fantastically located between a river and ocean. To the hotel one comes only over a free boat transfer, but during any time of the day and night worked great. You can but also excellent at the beach along after bentota walking. There are beautiful small bungalows as well as room in the main building, the hotel is nice spread around on the spacious area. We had the normal bungalow room for us completely fine were. The hotel itself is a clear renovation case. The inadequacies of the room-for example the besenkammergroße shower, the ' waschnische' and not larger toilet compensated the staff by friendliness.
The food has -especially the curry dishes-always tasted good. The service in the restaurant is excellent - we have never been in a universe inclusive restaurant was so quickly served.

We can say, that it a dream holiday was. The overall impression of hotel, country and people round ended up the full picture from.
Already the hotel is wonderfully situated, as well as the entire area. The food was simply top. Who naturally only burgers and co expected, should the complex avoid. Quiet time exotic treats admit. It is worthwhile, for the health.
The boys at the beach you can fully confidence. We had the luck niki to meet. We had have fun with him, a great trip to kandy and much of the country experienced. Smooth exchange also your ... money, have only trust, everything worked without any problems.

It was a fantastic vacation in a very nice hotel with very friendly and before coming employees. The beach was clean and kilometer-long, sometimes almost deserted. October is not the ideal travel, as the rainy season. From about 14 hours it was cloudy or it rained.
One can kilometres away walk along the beach without a human soul to meet. The sea had while we were there always tidy waves, you could but nevertheless good swimming.
As I neither fish still sharp food, it was sometimes quite difficult to get something to eat at the buffet. But what there was, was good.
At the bar there were also some cocktails free, taste however very sweet and all the same. After a week I could no cocktail ... see more.
The willingness to help the room boys is crazy! Even really tip on the bed and one on hands carried. But also without tip is very helpful.
The paths to the rooms and the terraces the room are covered. However with some holes. When it rains, it was difficult on our terrace to sit, as it is in some places by dripped. read more

Very nice bungalow complex in the middle of a palm forest, right on the long, lonely and sandy beach, you only by boat. The waves and the current were very strong, to swim less suitable, but for fun great!-)
There were also always enough loungers available, cushions and towels you get from the pool attendants.
At the beach you will immediately from the beachboys mentioned (the always know who is new) and you get excursions offered. We are not.
The tables in the open restaurant stayed at the very large and rich buffet in the middle arranged. There was ... always some local and apart from that international food. For breakfast there was mostly English kitchen ( bacon, beans, sausages, eggs, toast.)

The rooms are in one-to two-story bungalows and are provided with all over terrace or balcony.
Hair dryer, air conditioning, tv with German wave, safe and ceiling fan are available. The rooms are big enough. The sink is also in the room, are separated only the toilet and a very large shower.
The service and the staff are very good, expected but always tip.
There are numerous excursions.
The transfer to the airport takes at night about 2 hours. It can but also the (empty ) highway driven, these costs 400 rupees (not even three Euro). Then the journey takes about one and a half hours. read more

The hotel 'club bendota ' is very recommendable. The location is eibnalig, the rooms are very clean, the room boy is often little nice things such as the the beds especially prepared. For all nörgler and complainers if i search i think always something negative.
The hotel is very beautiful. It is a bit winding but i found that very positive. The rooms are clean and tidy and a star hotel in Sri Lanka accordingly. Food, as well as the beverages and also the staff everything was to our satisfaction. The audience is mixed in age and nationality. And if the location had any complaints here, for me a skipped sometimes. One finds purchase possibilities in front of the hotel sufficiendy.
Tip: either one runs 5-10 minutes to the right to Aluthgama ... or for 100-200 Rupees = 0,80-1,50 Euro a tuc tuc is a real experience and you should go on it raved about his. read more
