The hotel is definitely in a great condition and recommendable. Cleanliness is largely written. We had all inclusive, which we also recommend would. The guest structure was internationally mixed and it was a great together. read more

    Room was always cleaned daily. For cleanliness pay attention one very. The guest should feel at home. Since we also liked, as in the entire hotel some tip. This will set you not poor and the staff is very grateful.

    The hotel is very beautiful on a Eiland location. All 15 minutes there is a free boat shuttle to the mainland. ( 3 minutes) There were shopping possibilities in the more immediate vicinity. (very good value for money - good quality) With the tuck, tuck is easily accessible and quick.

    We lived in a bungalow. Quite small, but sufficient, with a small terrace. The tv could the newer technology to be brought ( crt tv ), refrigerator was available, hair dryer also (in Sri Lanka definitely not usual). Daily cleaning, always fresh towels, air conditioning system functioned, although too loud.

    There's a restaurant for the meals (open area). A fish restaurant was in construction, probably will fee will be. Specialities in the restaurant as shellfish were partly at the entrance offered, but had to be paid. Wine was in the all-inclusive offer not included! A simple country wine cost circa 3 Euro. We have found, that the all-inclusive offered by other countries the wine was included in the room rate. The food was delicious, the local dishes like for instance currys, dhal -lenses definitely try! Some meat dishes were tough, the selection of fish could in a country be bigger. Seats in the bar area very pleasant. Beverages limited, mostly to sweet cocktails.

    The staff is very friendly and helpful, expected but always a tip. English was always understood. The rooms were in clean condition, the beds partially lovingly with flowers. We did not complain.

    There were several there, you can always find a suitable place. The loungers at the sea could be renewed. The cushions are worn and partly missing slat rust with the wooden deck chairs. The beach chair area river side was very well-kept. Entertainment was rather discreet and unobtrusive. There were Volleyball, Boccia, darts, table tennis and water aerobics offered free of charge. Other water sports like for instance water skiing are liable to pay the costs. The toilets at the beach should be cleaned more often. One got usually (i. e.. Without tip) only 1 towel per person, this is for the loungers too few.

    The hotel is only with the boat. The is however logistic not a problem, because it to the hotel and is free. The beach is approximately 100 meters wide (at least it was in february so) and you can walk for miles, almost without someone to meet. For excursions to the next town (Aluthgama) you can have a tuk-tuk or taxi (100 Rupees = about 60 cents) or the 2 kilometer walk. There is also a train station in Aluthgama, from to for example after galle for 100 Rupees travel can.

The hotel itself is a clear renovation case. The inadequacies of the room-for example the besenkammergroße shower, the ' waschnische' and not larger toilet compensated the staff by friendliness. We can say, that it a dream holiday was. The overall impression of hotel, country and people round ended up the full picture from. Already the hotel is wonderfully situated, as well as the entire area. The food was simply top. Who naturally only burgers and co expected, should the complex avoid. Quiet time exotic treats admit. It is worthwhile, for the health. The boys at the beach you can fully confidence. We had the luck niki to meet. We had have fun with him, a great trip to kandy and much of the country experienced. Smooth exchange also your ... money, have only trust, everything worked without any problems. We will in any case again next year in this club and it already today hardly expect. read more

It was a fantastic vacation in a very nice hotel with very friendly and before coming employees. The beach was clean and kilometer-long, sometimes almost deserted. Otherwise I have rarely eaten so well. The offered food was very diverse and varied. A tip is perhaps, if you excursions bay for example with night, rather with native ones book instead of the travel guide. Is a lot cheaper, you could get the same and also a guide for everyone, who speaks German well and much told and explained, and the people are grateful. You should definitely go on excursions, because you ... can get a lot of Sri Lanka see and learn. Daytrips best on the mainland side on your own and with a cab driver demands, the for good money for example also to galle. Be careful if you to excursions photograph left, always purse. The people offer to you to photograph, demand but afterwards money. And, you should in Sri Lanka times small trains and train and you should mangosteen ate! Is an experience worth.-) read more

Very nice bungalow complex in the middle of a palm forest, right on the long, lonely and sandy beach, you only by boat. The waves and the current were very strong, to swim less suitable, but for fun great!-) There were also always enough loungers available, cushions and towels you get from the pool attendants. At the beach you will immediately from the beachboys mentioned (the always know who is new) and you get excursions offered. We are not. The tables in the open restaurant stayed at the very large and rich buffet in the middle arranged. There was ... always some local and apart from that international food. For breakfast there was mostly English kitchen ( bacon, beans, sausages, eggs, toast.) Everything delicious!:-) The rooms are in one-to two-story bungalows and are provided with all over terrace or balcony. Hair dryer, air conditioning, tv with German wave, safe and ceiling fan are available. The rooms are big enough. The sink is also in the room, are separated only the toilet and a very large shower. The service and the staff are very good, expected but always tip. There are numerous excursions. The transfer to the airport takes at night about 2 hours. It can but also the (empty ) highway driven, these costs 400 rupees (not even three Euro). Then the journey takes about one and a half hours. read more

October is not the ideal travel, as the rainy season. From about 14 hours it was cloudy or it rained. One can kilometres away walk along the beach without a human soul to meet. The sea had while we were there always tidy waves, you could but nevertheless good swimming. As I neither fish still sharp food, it was sometimes quite difficult to get something to eat at the buffet. But what there was, was good. At the bar there were also some cocktails free, taste however very sweet and all the same. After a week I could no cocktail ... see more. The willingness to help the room boys is crazy! Even really tip on the bed and one on hands carried. But also without tip is very helpful. The paths to the rooms and the terraces the room are covered. However with some holes. When it rains, it was difficult on our terrace to sit, as it is in some places by dripped. read more

    Very unusual location on an island. Is only with the hotel's own boat service to reach, but easy day and night. No traffic on the island, therefore extremely quiet and secure even for children and seniors. Beautiful landscaping, huge, clean sandy beach, very shallow, so even for children and non-swimmers.

Nice ageing hotel area with significant flaws in the service and management. Criticism and wishes were taken but without any success. Sometimes had the impression, the guests disturb the ability of employees. For example if the shifts only once the staff the hotel's boat transporttiert and the guest 40 minutes at the front desk wait must. Service in the service seemed with a few exceptions sluggish, almost beamtenhaft with duty. Beach was perfect clean and beautiful. The swimming pool not anymore. The food was monotonous and little varied and this also applies to the indian dishes. read more

We were for the first time in Sri Lanka, but we would in any case choose this hotel again. Cleanliness and service and the staff's hospitality leaves nothing to be desired. The food was versatile and tasty (be careful with the fish curry offered on, very spicy). Currency exchange not in the hotel the course is very inconvenient, better Harry the beach vendors, the best course and above all extremely reliable. Daytrips and mehrtagesausflüge best with Harry book, good price and the best service. We, 3 couples, only good experiences with Harry made. Again thank you very much Harry;! ... Souvenirs you can also with the traders cheap purchase. Massages in ayurwedazentrum of the hotel are recommendable. We were from 01.-20.09. 2012 club bentota. Gorgeous area between situation and indian ocean. Very quiet, since only the beachboys and a few salesman at the beach stop. Audience very mixed. Lots of young Russian couples, German, English and other european guests. Very few children. Come at the weekend the locals from Colombo for one night. There can it already sometimes noisy. In the first week the hotel was only occupied by half. Then it was pretty busy. They always somewhere crafted and the rooms and complex in shot to be held. At the start it has every ... day often for half an hour rain. The 2. Week mostly only at night. However the temperatures always remain the same. read more

    The rooms are probably the biggest fault. The problem is in our opinion at the air ventilation. Because of the high humidity felt always somewhat damp at. If the air conditioning then walk sweat the windows. The balcony door you can absence not open, since otherwise the chipmunks in the room romp around. We then when we in the room were the fan turned on and all doors open. After a couple of days it got better. A door with a fly screen would probably help in some way. It was difficult, because after every shower the air humidity was very high.

    There's a restaurant. Breakfast (7:30 to 9:30) lunch (12:30 until 14:30) and dinner (19:30 until 21:30). The food was simply top. Early you can omelet/ fried egg by the cook was freshly prepared. Afternoons and evenings there is always a large buffet. Salads, soups european dishes, curry dishes, as well as a cakes- and obstecke. Some dishes are made from the chefs direct at the buffet prepared. Half of the tables are for smokers. Some beach chairs right on the river. The waiters are very hard and the beverages on the table. But be careful, no food left unsupervised let stand, since the many chipmunk it otherwise relish. Also at the bar you were served very nicely. There are arak, Wodka, whisky and Gin, as well as two cocktails and afternoon coffee and cake.

    The staff are very friendly. The roomboy has the room always very well cleaned. If we had a concern was immediately rectified. Otherwise runs at the bar during the day discreet music. For children not so much is offered. And for party goers the hotel is now times not at all suited. There are two table tennis, a billiard table, as well as a dartboard.

    Location is really wonderful. Beach very wide. We were every day in the water. Lifeguards at the beach watch out which one not so far into the sea is, as the current can be very dangerous. To the left you can walk for miles. Great for excursions, since most sights in a few hours to reach are. Otherwise is a cruise very nice. You will see a variety of animals in the mangrove forest. Also the market at the monday in aluthgama you should not to be missed. Fruit, vegetables, fish and favorable spices of the vendors offered. Also a train trip on your own is already an experience. We are by train after galle and saw the dutch fort inspected. Then still with the tuk-tuk to the dream beach of unawatuna (5 kilometer). There, there are great restaurants. 15:30 goes it then again back. Travel time about 75 minutes for 100 rupees in the 2. class.

We loved it here. The location is brilliant, the complex not too big and not too small. The staff any time friendly and helpful and also cleanliness is largely written. Only for swimming the 5 kilometer long beach because of the constant large waves definitely not suitable, but for swimming nevertheless ok. Gladly come again... :-) read more

    The rooms were very clean. Every room contained standard a kettle, as well as tea and coffee. Air conditioning and balcony/ terrace. TV there is also German wave. Unfortunately our first room to the river side. On the opposite side the river is a disco, the again and again times the entire river treated to music. That was totally annoying, especially, when we for an excursion at o'clock mornings get up and the disco-noise until 00:30 went. Apparently the hotel is here powerless and the noise not stop. On our complaint we got a room to the sea now, where it a lot silent was.

    There was a big restaurant, a bar and a ' minitheather ', at the evenings more often demonstrations were. Behind the bar there was another room, where afternoon tea and cakes was offered. The food was at all times top. Also for people, the curry are not as enthusiastic, there was always something ( for any taste). We also have a lobster dinner booked, it was fantastic. There was for every two (!) Hummer, additionally crawfish and much more. Everything was lovingly and romantic on the jetty arranged. ( unfortunately came not enough people for the boat trip with lobster dinner together).

    The staff were very friendly, communication in English was possible without a problem. At the cleaning of the rooms there was nothing to moan about. The laundry service we had taken into account. Everything worked fine, the bed linen was really clean. On complaints ( see room) was from the side the management reacted immediately. As usual runs with a little baksheesh some better. Amazed we were only on arrival, when the bell boy for the 100 meters wide carrying with 100 rupees not at all and with 200 rupees only reluctantly agreed to.

    Beautiful and shady spots at the beach were always sufficiently available, you are by a fence from the sandy beach separately, the good barrier for souvenir traders functions. To into the sea to come, you need to have a very long and broad sandy beach cross. There is however as good as no one (no shade). We were with great pleasure in the sea ( exactly clean as the beach), however was the while we were there rather which for good swimmer, because it was next to the waves a relatively strong undertow on the floor. As an alternative there were a pool, especially for the children. We were never in it, but it was always something going on. Access to the internet was nearby the lobby possible and he worked out very well. For about 200 rupees you got a rubbelkarte, with the within 24 hours a total of 1 hour surfing. Animation we didn't take part in, but it was actually always something offered, especially beach volleyball stood high in the course.

    The hotel lies on a peninsula and is just over the river bentota, so with the hotel boat, to reach, but very often wrong. After 2 weeks round trip finally arrived to relax. Great hotel in great architectural style and ambience (only 2 floors). Hotel lies between the river and sea on a headland and is by boat -shuttle bus ( constantly and perfect ) reachable ( therefore very quiet. And important-no railway line as usual along the coast). The food was delicious and varied. Pool - and bar area are equipped with great garden furniture equipped. All inclusive cocktails are very simple and taste never the same ( even if you the same order-please improve!). Chairs are at the beach still in the ... hotel area ( so peace for vendors). Super extensive beach with strong undercurrent (always red flag). The rooms are cozy with a terrace, but very humid (we could a maximum of 10 minutes the patio doors open-then we had damp floor tiles ( air conditioning should in constant operation loud maintenance-we are nearly froze, until the air conditioning higher set). Cleanliness the room was top. read more

The hotel has approximately 150 rooms ( superior-deluxe-and family room). The hotel is only with a boat from the bentota river from reachable. Every 15 minutes you can enjoy the free shuttle service of the hotel use. It has already been other reviews mentioned, that this hotel is not new anymore, but it is currently much renovated. The rooms are not just large, unfortunately only a few shelf space for clothes ( with 3 persons a problem). ... International audience, many germans and other europeans. Weekends storms the locals with its children the hotel. Unfortunately is then the pool, the pool tables, table tennis and darts always occupied. read more

    We had a deluxe room, which is a two-story building was. Facilities: desk with two chairs, tv ( Deutsche Welle), telephone, ceiling fan, air conditioning, safe ( free in the closet ), mini bar, hair dryer, kettle with its things like tea, coffee, sugar, milk powder and 2 mugs. Wardrobe had unfortunately too few shelf space. Unfortunately were 2 pillow ticks moldy, but on request replaced. The bathroom was with a shower/ toilet and a washstand decorated, small but very clean. Nevertheless would be also a grunderneuerung necessary.

    The restaurant offers a very varied kitchen. The local curry dishes are somewhat spicy, for those who do not like this, there were always sufficient european to eat. In the restaurant there was a pleasant peaceful atmosphere. Dishes were quickly cleared away and it is used tables were immediately cleared and newly renovated. Unfortunately also here one small downside, if lots of guests at once for dinner come, it could happen, that there was no free space and have to wait. At the bar very nice, friendly service, partially even with good German language skills. Beverage selection was sufficient. For breakfast, there is only one type of cheese and only one type of sausage, but enough other possibilities full. Mirror- and scrambled eggs, omelets, bacon and sausage, pancakes and fresh fruit. If you like it, can, of course, also singal breakfast. Afternoons and evenings there are chicken meat, fish and beef. The prepared sauces were also very good. As side dishes there was daily red rice and white basmatireis, potatoes and noodles. Furthermore, there was also a salatecke and daily different soups. Also there were a wide selection of fresh tropical fruit for example papaya, small bananas, pineapple, melons and once also fruit. The dessert corner was very dangerous. Lots of small, sweet törtchen, creams, jelly, ice, baked bananas and small cakes, the one to the wegnaschen seduce.

    The staff were very friendly and accommodating, sometimes it might be a little faster operation, but at the end it was okay then. In the hotel hardly speak German, therefore, English language skills were definitely necessary. The rooms were cleaned daily. You got daily 3-4 bottles water to the room provided. The beds have been lovingly with various flowers. For my birthday, the bed with a birthday greeting from flower petals and the towels to wonderful elephant shaped. A great idea. The laundry service we used and can say, that this good and relatively cheap.

    The pool is small, but sufficient ( except there are at the weekend the locals a ), an animation there were while we were there almost not at all, what we didn't mind. Various possibilities to do water sports are offered in the hotel. There were enough shady spots with beach chairs. The cushions were however also not the newest. Towel service has unfortunately also not always that works well, once was the pool boy for tea, sometimes for dinner. Almost always waited people, your towels changed to get. Whoever spörtlich wants to be active, for those there are the possibility pool, darts, table tennis or beach volleyball to play. For reading rats there was a library with books in different languages. There is a water sports center, which we didn't make use of.

    The location of the hotel club bentota it cannot be topped. On the one hand is the beach at the indian ocean and on the other side of the hotel flows the bentota river. The transfer from the airport to the hotel takes about 2 hours depending on traffic. On the other side the river is the towns aluthgama. For shopping you have to take a boat across the river drive, which every 15 minutes free from the hotel over runs. The beach before the club bentota hotel is very wide and fine sandy. The waves at the beach were partly very high and are not to be underestimated.
