We chose Utopia for our first holiday as a family with our seven month old baby and it was perfect. Great and varied facilities all within easy reach, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. The range of swimming pools and the accessibility of the beach made us feel like we were in a different resort each day. The water slides are a source of fun for people of all ages (and great white noise to keep the baby asleep). The food is great and there was so much choice it also provided us a great opportunity to let ... the baby try a range of things. We were the only English residents (it was low season) so we had a great time meeting people from other countries and it was nice to be a novelty for once. The snorkeling just off the beach is also incredible. We had never seen such a beautiful array of fish so close to the shore. The rooms are huge and well built and most have a balcony overlooking the grounds or the sea. Ours had both. The room was well cleaned every day. There is activity in the evenings but if you want a quiet, early night, that's also possible. There is a mini bus to the nearest town twice a week so we were also able to get a flavour of the local culture outside of a paradisical tourist resort. At sunset each day, they sprayed the whole hotel with mosquito repellent. While effective, we weren't sure what the repellent contained so made sure we were in our room when this happened. read more

    We had a family room - which entailed two huge rooms with an adjoining door and one bathroom. It was clean and very spacious with high ceilings. We also had a lovely balcony over looking the grounds and were very close to all the faciltiies.

    There are four pools, a beach and a number of water slides. There was a lot of entertainment and other facilities but we couldn't make use of them as we had a small baby with us.

    The hotel is 15 minutes drive from the nearest town and nearly 3 hours from Hurghada airport. It is surrounded by beautiful desert. There is some litter in the desert.

Here you have clear priorities what you want!, it is very important that broken paving/tiles replaced, railings freshly painted and lose, from the holder broken lamps be repaired or you could enjoy the outstandingly beautiful reef with its diverstiy, the lovely warm climate, and the absolutely friendly waiters?! Especially worth mentioning the top clean the toilets by the beach, even lovingly decorated with flowers! The only negative thing was the constant hum of the dieselaggregate, depending on the location more or less to hear, as well as the right vocal italian tourists! Desire: tourists, no matter wether snorkelers, divers or ... bather, is considerate with the reef around, so that we had also still in the future can enjoy! read more

We have been the 2. time at utopia and this time as a family. We have this time very lots of people met due to perhaps 50% utilization of the hotel at this time. The local traders and the lifeguard, as well as the people quad bike safari from the penze next door. Unfortunately has this time an accident our vacation something clouded the doctors also check in two hotels. In penze here many a time is called good was the doctor the worst, it has our insurance abroad at all did not interest sonndern just as much Euro we ... have! In the morning we have at the front desk at utopia asked, whether a doctor in the hotel is the afterwards immediately into the room came, an ambulance ordered a radiograph (unfortunately in Hurghada) to leave. The doctor was the whole time us fed we were on the day from a neighboring hotel the hospital. The treatment was very good, the only thing which you have to complain about on this day, the egyptians are very slow especially, because we the only were in the hospital and the whole fun with and back 14 hours lasted for 2 pictures. The service from the doctor, as well as afterwards on arrival after 21:00 o'clock in the hotel was excellent. We would have if we wanted food and drinks without as payment to the room received. Otherwise super people, great accommodating our injured opposite \u263a we see us in june again. read more

The hotel is not bad but unfortunately somewhat older. The garden was not well maintained. The complex general was not on preceding endorser. The swimming pool could some be cleaner, however i have to say i was not in the season. The beach was huge and a piece of of which also clean, otherwise everywhere you look-mist. The food was good you had a wide choice. Conclusion for a week it was ok. read more

The hotel was rather older and therefore it was already somewhat renovation needy. The garden is beautiful. The guests were 70% divers. Otherwise a good mix of italians, walking, german and dutch. read more

    The rooms are rather functional furnishings. We had 3 a bungalow. The room was big enough and the beds perfectly alright the bathroom is very small and old, there was no hair dryer and the shower with curved shower curtain rod, which gladly times on a sticky remains. The rooms but were cleaned daily and the towels changed.

    The restaurants were alright the plates were partly already cleared away, before they were empty, which was a little intrusive. Since we were there during off-season, there were always enough free tables. One had to never line up. The kitchen was local to european, one became always full, however the choice was partly somewhat limited. It is during the main season surely also differently. In the afternoon there were even daily ice cream. With the drinks, which you yourself must, it always went very quickly.

    The service in the hotel was alright the staff was for the most part very friendly. A complaint, that the beach once urgently should be cleaned, was met. The rooms were always very thoroughly cleaned and the garden was very nice.

    The pools are beautifully and cleaned daily. The larger pool was heated. The slides were not always at, there nebensaison, but ok. There was enough chairs and cushions, umbrellas and so on. Unfortunately the loungers and cushions also already somewhat older. The beach is directly at a coral reef and it was beautiful. Wonderful for swimming, swim but also snorkelling and diving suitable. Everything is possible, even diving, without a boat be. The underwater world we could even without goggles want to see. Who gladly to times a few meters at the beach runs, can these good, if the wreckage did not disturb. Bathing shoes are but it was an advantage. The entertainment team it was difficult, since it was the post-season. Unfortunately was the 'over-animation' only very rarely to moderate the evening to see and there was always rather bad mood. Momo has the torn out. The entertainment for kids was open, but that was all. Totally dirty, no materials except a few aborted colored pencils and zero Elan the animatorinnen. My daughter was for 2 hours times there and in this time an old cardboard with colored pencils painting must. The playgrounds are nice, but in some places a little be careful, as this already somewhat older.

    The complex lies in the middle in the nothing, however therefor direct at the beach. This is because of a beautiful coral reef. Right next to the hotel is still a 5 star hotel, of which also the beach with use. What in Egypt rarely, you can at the beach walk along, if the wreckage did not disturb. To the next shopping possibility it was about a 20-minute drive. In front of the neighboring hotel is also a small bazaar and we in every hotel here a few shops. Direct at the hotel is the diving base.

For three stars a recommendation, in the hotel is so much wrong, clear mistake in the management, no plan the hotel, very obstructed, once beautiful hotel. Unclean green, with manure, hotelabwasser the plants and green areas fertilized, smells mächtigt, trash, no, because the responsible but probably was not there. The cats adhere to the opening times of the restaurants. Pom. -get there in the morning at 7 o'clock, no spoons for pasta (spaghetti), 3 times with water diluted beer at the bar before the disco. Plates were cleared away if you cutlery still in the hand, ashtray after every cigarette ... emptied (a smoker at the table). Pool is ok. Beach not fast enough cleaned, lots of trash to 2 days rum, reef is okay, but depending on the wind and water level littered. With the present staff are the hotel complex not reasonable or maintained. Friendly staff, but not really bad. I was now already for the 2. time at utopia and was even this time again, with the friendliness of all of the staff, a kitchen in the not in the upper league cooked, but with fresh products tasty were working on it! Except the arrival(4,5 hour ) everything ok. The hotel is definitely in great shape. The staff speaks german and english, is helpful and always very friendly. The food fresh and delicious. May be a bit repetitive but you had enough choice, so that everyone becomes full. The complex is in a good state, also constantly by gardners looked after. The beach is a bit too far away from the hotel but a little movement after eating is also okay. For snorkelling only one, a dream'. The entire day get a 2 + from us. Gladly anytime again. read more

First we had a bungalow where no warm water was available. Probably broken. We complained and they gave us immediately a different room a higher category offered, without an extra charge! Disturbing we found the behind the hotel the electricity generator. This was especially at night you could hear it. The evening entertainment was not too professional. But the beach animation was okay. Altogether the hotel has a great service. The selection of dishes was good and plentiful. All inclusive you can literally, as alcoholic drinks there are free.     The distance from the Marsa Alam Airport is about 1 hour, Vm main building are about 5 minutes to the beach the hotel is huge. Which i liked a great deal there are shops for shopping but the owners are not intrusive as i already often in Egypt experienced. Excursions i didn't made. Transfers you can from the reception book but you should a hotel key with since the security thinks they would make contact in the knast (my experience)

Although we in the somewhat older bungalow area used, the bathroom (dark joints, flooding after showering) a bit to get used to, we had rather the charm of the hotel enjoyed than in the newer area. But there one must evenly also the african standards include. The bed linen was clean, water was refilled amply and towels changed daily. As you can on a little dust on the other decor be overlooked. The location is very quiet, entertainment in the evening sparse, but we knew that in advance and wanted the also sunday To relax and get some rest so ... the optimal. It had a super great reef for snorkelling and a great diving school. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very good food. It would be nice, if you safe in the room and not only at the front desk would have. Safety-related (electrical, stolperfalle on the footbridge) one may sometimes not so closely, but also you can get by. Alone because of the reef and the peace we will definitely come back read more

If cats for the food want and a long journey (over Hurghada 3-4 hours) does not shrink from that should this hotel, with its great reef, treat yourself. A shorter journey is on massa Alpine possible.
