Dorint Hotel Dresden^{(4 stars)}

Size of the room good, sufficient space for bags and clothes, bed wonderful with cosy duvets and a pillow, and small cushions, 2 armchair with table (functional), 1 desk with chair (as well as), 1 flat-screen colour tv with lots of programs and intuitively easy to serving remote control, 1 mini bar (well stocked-naturally liable to pay the costs ) with a fridge, the was a small little space for even brought food left, in-room safe (literally!) , telephone, various technical connections (which we didn't use), good current, denser curtain on the curtains. Bathroom spacious with surprisingly much counter space, and extra heating (the needed we also after icy east in spätwinter this year!). Great water pressure in shower (= in the bathtub with glass separation to the room) and sink, 3 large mirrors, magnifying mirror (extra lighting would have been nice), hair dryer (this could have been a bit more 'power' may have), soap dispenser on the shower, and extra shampoo, shower gel, body lotion (!) , soap. The toilet is a bit low. Nice for children, but for older guests, the home may be even toilet-sitzerhöhungen have installed, this could a problem represent. Cleanliness was okay (some dust on the lamps and the daily vacuuming already sometimes overlooked), a 2. pillows would be nice and the television cosier-been (we would however certainly can be ordered-is thus no omission of the hotel). Bathrobe could you at the front desk orders can.

The breakfast buffet was brilliant! From the warm 'english breakfast' with bacon, käsetomate, sausage, fried potatoes, scrambled and fried eggs, pancakes and hot croissants, various small, crisp buns, and bread with many sweet and spicy toppings (including cheese platter!) Even to rollmops, fish salad, salmon with honey-mustard dressing and naturally classics such as muesli with different milchvariationen, yogurts, fruit, red grits, juices, small cakes and so on. There was actually nothing, which did not give it-lovely! The restaurants we didn't visit, but in the hotel bar in the lobby to the happy hour (17:00 until 20:00 o'clock) 2 cocktails a 5,50 Euro drunk. Therefore, that only an employee at the bar worked, so cocktails mixed, served and collected, lasted it a little, but it tasted excellent. :-)

Extremely friendly staff in the whole hotel - everybody was friendly, helpful and smiled much, without that fake made. The cleaning of the rooms worked understated and fast (and daily there was a sweet sweet), the many helper around the breakfast buffet were even in the rush-hour extremely well organized, low-key and nice. Check-in from 3:00 p. m.-in case of early arrival you can leave your luggage safely in a room behind the front desk store. Check-out by at 12:00 o'clock - for the luggage, the same applies. - both worked smoothly. The management of complaints we can't say anything, since we have no reason, we have something to complain about.

From the outside the hotel appears to be first large, somewhat cool and gives no direct atmosphere or cosiness. When entering of the lobby changed this first impression however already positive and so it goes then actually always gets ahead. The Dorint has (according to the web-site) on 244 rooms spread over several floors. We got a double room on the 5. floor with a view of the busy grunär road, their noise as well as not at all disturbed, what me as a sensitive person very much appreciated! At the time of our stay (shortly before easter ) the hotel was well visited-in particular families with children. Condition and cleanliness from the inside good-in need of renovation seemed only a few chair covers in the breakfast room.

The hotel lies at one of dresden's numerous dual carriageway streets, in which often in the middle the tram runs-so also here. The environment of the hotel so you couldn't really as' contemplative ' describe. Distance to the train station on foot about half an hour (with bags ), to the center (Church of Our Lady, neumarkt, etc.) About 10 minutes, to the altmarkt-galerie (over 200 shops, restaurants and cafés) are it 5 minutes more. Same goes for the prager straße with its major department stores, many chain stores and centrum gallery on four floors and an area of 52000 square meters. So shopping -real fun for the, the the like. On the doorstep of the hotel is the tram stop 'german hygiene museum', where the lines 1, 2, 4 and 12 run, with even faster in dresden's old town or another objective for its choice is. Very convenient! Guests can at the hotel-reception tickets bought and a liniennetzplan be taken (great service!). We as a couple came with the familientageskarte to : for 8 Euro we could both together to at 4 o'clock in the morning (in theory!) In zone 1 (this is enough for a city trip perfectly) dresden full city to leave.
