Due to the numerous positive reviews in the various online forums we opted for this small guesthouse in the heart of the old town of kaleici. We were thrilled by the first clean and quiet area with a nice pool. The front desk was very welcoming and we felt immediately. Unfortunately for some unknown reasons but during our stay the and helpful hostess 'replaced ' by inexperienced to partly rude staff. The service and the cleanliness of the room left then a lot to be desired. The bathroom was not cleaned for days, even the toiletries and towels were not ... replaced. The foreign language skills of the staff were also within limits, which made the communication very difficult. The 'traditional Turkish' breakfast with olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and more olives hung us soon to the neck out. In addition there was white bread toasted and filter hard. Finally fell negative to the hardness of the mattress, the nightly mosquito infestation, with an easy target mosquito plugs, as well as the tiny bathroom with potential flooding. Reviewed positively in our case the size of room, as well as the free Internet access and interference. The neighboring tuvana Hotel, which at the same time, an outstanding star restaurant, would be the better choice former. In smaller budget seems the Otantik Otel a good alternative to be, also with fantastic (and reasonably priced!) restaurant. For individual travellers we recommend in any case a hotel in the old town to book, there was also a wonderful quiet beach at the old harbor (entrance through the restaurant beach mermerli, entrance four euro). At the moment, we would recommend the Kaucuk Otel however not. What a pity about the area. read more

It is not a large hotel, but rather a small area with a beautiful pool inner courtyard and a few rooms. These are very nicely furnished and absolutely sufficiently furnished. Cleanliness and order here very large written. On the inner courtyard there is also the breakfast ( typically Turkish with sheep cheeses, tomatoes, gherkins, Olives, the best self-made marmelade which I ever ate and white bread, melons and blackTea or coffee) and it was really really lovingly cared about each guest cared, however without being pushy. We have always completely relaxed and peace breakfast. Mostly we sat a good hour! ...
there were many different guests since, with us partly Turkish couples, but also many English guests. The main waiter speaks German and good English, so you can really good humored, if you don't Turkish could. read more
