Hotel has a lot of potential, but by the operator / owner still be retrieved. Despite good gastronomy and pool the 4 stars are not worth. A classic three star hotel and still good. Very nice hotel. The first days we were the einzgen guests and also had a huge breakfast buffet. The service was super nice. Our request for an extra pillows was already met after breakfast back in the room. Food was always great. We had half board and low tide in the evening a 3gänge menu, always two alternetiven main course options. we had a very relaxing holiday and will definitely go back to this hotel again. read more

We had a very nice Wellness vacation. The facilities are for such a small hotel very extensive. A sauna, steam bath, massage and beauty department. We have stayed in bigger houses are no longer offer. The wellness area is open throughout the day, sauna afternoon when you return from excursions. The restaurant's cleanliness level is excellent, the service staff was always friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in a quiet side street to the park. A cross-country ski run is right next to the hotel, Alpinski ten minutes walk, toboggan run five minutes on foot.

The hotel sonneneck we can only recommend it. Absolute peace, nice spa with spectacular panoramic views. Whoever needed party and fun are in the wrong place here. Breakfast and dinner every day were varied and tasty. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms in pristine condition. read more

We booked the hotel through the TUI, in the internet, quick! We also knew we accommodated in the neighboring building, but we thought it next door! Quite the opposite, within walking distance, about 10-15 minutes. We took the car! Room was very ok, bathroom had no shower, bathtub only with integrated shower! Took a bit longer the water was warm, first was only brown water! Breakfast not as extensive as described, you should get up early to see everything! read more

Looked as nice in the catalog. Also the booking over the phone I felt pretty good. On arrival and move into the room. The rooms were bright and clean, bathroom also ok. The view is beautiful. But we wanted to the spa facilities, including a sauna, pool, steam bath and jetted tubs. Pool very cold, sauna only at certain times, the very inadequate. The indoor pool overall cold. We wanted a nice luxury getaway for skiing in Braunlage. The hotel is far from Braunlage. Unfortunately the hotel was not quite the criteria four stars. After two days heating fully turned on got to us high 19 C. The gentleman at the front desk did not understanding of this problem. The pool is with 27 C. For kids to splash around too cold. In a hotel of this category I expect the all existing saunas switched on. At the reception only one to bell and for early risers 8:00 isn't serve breakfast. 10:00 PM is sleep in ... this 4 star and you'll get a drink or similar. The rooms are very spacious and the whole area nice. Unfortunately we did not felt that the staff is interested in their guests once again. Bottom line is, if we had booked a 2 or 3 star hotel, everything would be okay, but for the four star there were too many flaws. read more

We booked this hotel in the fast. We knew that this in the adjacent building, thought but there is just next door. Nothing, a 10 -15 minutes was announced. Went to the accommodation, the next shock. The whole hotel, room, bathroom - it was a complete rip off cold. The untwisting of heating brought nothing. We felt like we were staying at a deserted cabin. Reported it right, but they brought a lot. Rooms were not warmer than 20 degrees. Breakfast was a Vital-breakfast which was unfortunately not spent." You should get up early so that you can still ... full access. In this hotel saved lots of friendliness, heating. You should, in a Wellnesswochende something else. We had booked the dependance building for three days, three stars, but it is quite disgraceful. The cleanliness of the restaurant was found absolutely unfriendly and arrogant, shower moldy with a worn tear enem hose, old, worn stained, dirty sheets. We stayed in the dependance building.
The first was the untidy condition of the property on. In house attacked an intolerable smell.
The rooms were functional, albeit old furniture.
The bathroom could use a renovation required (from the water and then it was only lukewarm). On the first evening I had to run the water for a long time until the brown broth was clean.
Otherwise our room was clean, if also not used impression.
The breakfast was okay for the price. Although there was only one sort of bread rolls and every day the same meats, but it was ... also orange juice, cereal.
On the whole the hotel was okay, in the brochure indicated three stars but totally inadequate.
The branch has the same owners nothing to do with the hotel sonne merman together.
Very good was the restaurant next to the hotel sonne neck. It is very comfortable, the service was excellent and the prices good. For children there is plenty to play and explore. The food came fast at the table and the service was friendly. read more

The hotel itself is quiet and nice, the rooms are comfortable, well maintained, the Spa attractive. But there are two major defects, which the hotel was not recommendable: a bad front desk, service, staff uninformierte (are preparing to ski lift, for months.) no help for recreation, almost rude, we didn't feel welcome there. (Maybe there two children with us?) but the kitchen is a catastrophe: I had rarely seen such bad meal, snack fat, unimaginative, out of a tin in a four star hotel! Something is not quite substantial. This hotel is definitely not for a four star hotel. Dinner in lonesome atmosphere with a three course menu, which I in any traditional 'pub' can. We spent a few days in the hotel sonne neck. At the reception we managed by the owners of the house very many tips get what we can do, for example shopping possibilities in Goslar or braunlage hohegeiss or trails. If the weather was not so nice, we spent the day in the hotel, and some time at the pool or with a beauty application. 25 Ehejahre are a long time spent and who is happy, would like to have this great as well.
We thought. That is why we wanted to spend the day in our four walls in Berlin and were looking for a cause in this hotel with a bit of comfort and full recovery.
So we found after a long search the aforementioned 4-star hotel with a nice appear to offer ('use'). After consultation with the hotel owner, HR. Rust, we booked this offer with extension of the superior Brockensuite 06.-09. 01.2008 for ... the period. So far, so good.
On the day of arrival we arrived at about 2:00 P.M. in Hotel. Unfortunately, our suite was not yet finished. We did briefly and scarcely the application and got the half-board menu presented, where you had the possibility to stroll, the meat main dining in a fish or vegetarian dish. The same way you had on the following days, but the selection at the breakfast table of. If modified later, even if it was only the side dishes, were almost impossible.
After half an hour waiting we were given our room key.
The suite had two bedrooms, 1 living room, bathroom and toilet. Upon entering the suite we however, that the second bedroom room locked. It was the view, two people, a bedroom, while the entire suite is paid. Our request was made the second bedroom, this means the beds were changed. Beds and pillows were two in number (4 stars?).
The fruit basket and bottle of piccolo was not to see. A further request with the hotelier ended with the answer, we should pave the piccolo from the minibar (glasses?) and the fruit basket after dinner, we could also take on the room. Oh well, somehow wanted no 'comfort' like atmosphere. Although the house itself is very nice (newly built) and the rooms are very clean and didn't leave anything to be desired. But that alone is also available to less stars and corresponding payment.
We visited the pool. Also very nice and pleasant. Sauna and aroma grotto there are daily for about two hours from alternating 16. 30 hours. We were actually from a standing offer considered, but Oh Well. There was also a Jacuzzi tub, which was not in operation. The next demand with the hotelier has shown, you can get at the reception for brands. You have to guess or a guest could something be said. The use of the Jacuzzi after eight €per (about 15 minutes) use costs, you could even learn but only at the final. Your own fault, we had not asked.
The 'superior' -offer a full body massage. This transformed into a massage and bays to an appointment. five minutes before treatment begins the lady of the house and told us, unfortunately, that the treatment was not therefore able to take place, because the staff member would smooth the quality of roads. We felt the statement on the basis of other events at the hotel a bit threadbare and there was on our last day, we had no alternative (pampering?) more.
On request we should be refunded the price. The this was made but when plus. Well, it can happen., But not in a 4-star. Hotel!
Very worth mentioning is the food at the hotel. A cozy afternoon coffee and cake was one of our 'use'. In addition one had to wait for the opening of the cafes (do-5:00 P.M. 14-30). We fit this and could then between two sorts of cake and the usual coffee specialities. We had both in each X-any better vantages Gert.
The breakfast was adequate for our needs. However, hot deals were missing, such as scrambled eggs or sausage. Honey was two days all, there were only on request. Otherwise the offer was without any variation.
Napkins were of the type diner, but only 1 bit per guest!
On the day of our wedding I had for my wife a bouquet on the order. This was the ninth 15 hours Managing Director (the shop opened at ninth 00 hours) brought to the table. A nice gesture of the hotel on this occasion no trace. Well, you just have to save. That applied also to the candle light dinner in the evening (part of the weddings package). The difference to the quality of the half board guests was just,
We mixed with orange juice 1 glass of champagne as much for an aperitif and the Teelichts a large candle ensnared with taffeta and about five decoration stones and sheets, were given. Actually we had expected after reading the other days nothing else.
It must be mentioned, the daily 'delicious 3-course menu'. The soups tasted, but in any case even cooked, but as a result of the well-known branded bags. The pig roll was a totally dry olive with something cheese and ham filled. There was a glob dry rice and tomatoes pieces of pizza, which is heated the jar. Everything was carelessly on the plates clapping, no decoration and pep. Simply a catastrophe! The dessert consisted of two spoons mouse de chocolat, überstäubt with powdered sugar.
We don't know, how enjoyable the alternatives such as matches, vegetables, spaghetti, baked Camembert or saithe would have been?!
The end result of our 'use' to ourselfs.
The atmosphere and the furnishings in the room are beautiful. food, except breakfast with a few flaws, worse than some of a cafeteria. All the guest had to ask. Price lists, for the mini bar are not cause unwanted will quickly.
We feel that the vital Hotel sonneneck everything else than pampered and are of the opinion, that the hotel deserves more than two stars. The price/performance ratio was right here in any case.
If you stay here yet again, we recommend only staying overnight and in the evening right next door 'by' dining. The food tasted great and you are a guest, all wishes were gladly fulfilled the treated read more
