The Quinta is a large complex with mansion from the 17. Century. Initially, a chapel, in run the time to a veritable church developed. This is not public, but only the guests the Quinta available. The main building consists of various salons, all very tastefully and stylishly furnished. In a salon is possible photos the spill. King and his wife, a few years ago here stayed, with the owners the Quinta. The double rooms are in the back area and could be a little bigger. However we had a patio door with a small garden, so that the room but ... again, a little bit extended seemed. Apart from that top furnished and equipped. Owner and staff with style, the latter even with livery! The complex is huge. Includes some garden, in which owner in the breeding of all kinds of tropical fruits tried. Also has a small forest the property. In the front part is a summer house with pool, football and table tennis. There is a large (about 6 times 13 meters) outdoor swimming pool with a view of the Atlantic ocean, the we used. Below is a good equipped fitness room with steam bath. There is also a tennis court. This compensated then again the somewhat small room, as there is really only for sleeping halt. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. Alone freshly prepared juice and fruit salad are a pleasure. From here are well excursions to Angra and all other sights the island make. To the meal one traveled the best to Sao Matteus, a former renowned city architect, on the port the restaurant is Beia Mar with plenty of fresh fish. Reservation is advisable. For us, at the end our inselrundreise the hotel was a bit to upscale. We were, alone Kleidungstechnisch, not ready. If you are lodging, one should already a tuxedo bring in the salon with the owner a sundowner take to be able. The but also, despite Jeans and T-shirt, very nice to us. read hotel review

You will be greeted by friendly as the museum tours. Most of the Landhotel is then but only to look round. The pool with sea and sea view up to what it promises to other facilities are blocked. To the rather skimpy breakfast it is recommended to go early but space is good to go for dinner, which on terceira yes is possible. But a car is necessary. Rooms are small, with a small garden to the rear of the hotel are probably better than those to the courtyard. Bathroom is good but you can't drying. The closet was a ... disaster. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful, but not all of them spoke foreign languages. But be careful in your Konsommation, the figures the surprise. The glass of wine, the otherwise mostly about a Euro, cost proud price a flat. read hotel review
