Hotel Holiday Resort Lombok^{(4 stars)}

The beach bungalows were great. Large with a four poster bed, sofa and armchair and the highlight a huge open bathroom! Great! Everything was clean. Well, you can see in the bathroom, that everything somewhat older is, but was not dirty or disgusting. Very tastefully and beautifully! The view in the morning and in the evening - a dream!

We only booked with breakfast, which good and sufficient was. At noon we took 2 times by the pool in the restaurant eaten. It was both times delicious. Takes however somewhat long, but you can for as long as again on the chair and got answer. The burger was a the best, which we ate (better than some in the USA!). Staff are very friendly.

So some of the previous reviews we cannot reconstruct at all. We have not a single unfriendly or lazy coworkers met. The people Lombok are somewhat zurückhaltendener than on Bali, but the staff were very kind and spoke good english, some even a few words of german, which they proudly made. Sometimes it echoes from the forest probably so, as one inside shouts?! We felt really comfortable.

By the pool there is total peace and quiet, no music, great. Chairs are enough there, the may of the quality a bit better, but i've already seen worse, no drawback. Umbrellas large and new. Somewhat annoying it is, if you are only in the vicinity the shower goes, so to the beach there, you will immediately be of traders assaulted: towels, bracelets and any other trinkets is a offered. Even if you only shower. Simply 'no thank you' say and is good...

We have 3 days in a beach bungalow as a conclusion our Bali vacation booked. We had the feeling, that the hotel not fully booked, making it an peaceful oasis made. Especially after 2 weeks Bali \u263a. I would definitely advise the beach bungalows to book.

The hotel is somewhat outside of senggigi, with the taxi in a few moments, however everything is easy to reach. The hotel is directly at the beach - sound when falling asleep included.

Our bungalow was tastefully decorated and a little worn. On the terrace there were two chairs and a small table. From this location we like sunset observed. There is a coffee machine and daily two small bottles water. In the closet there is a safe. A flat screen-tv is available; as well as a telephone and a small fridge.

As already written: there are three restaurants. We booked half board and we were happy. I am sure there are on the island better restaurants ( cheaper, etc.) , but it was ok for us. The rinjani restaurant offers indonesian kitchen, in gecko bar barbecue things ( rather details) and in the restaurant there was local and international dishes. We enjoyed the restaurant to eat, not only because of the beautiful location.

Also here we must Stefan ( review July 2012) disagree. The staff were normally friendly and helpful. All of the staff speak English, some even a little German (but not important). The rooms were cleaned daily and the beds often newly covered, our cleaner has the beds daily beautifully decorated. He has daily asked, whether all to our tastes is. Complaints we had no.

The pool is nice palm trees garden located. There is loungers with umbrellas around the pool and the towel you can by the pool counter and get evenings dropped. There is amongst others a ping-pong table and a large chess, which we also use. The palm trees garden daily from gardeners well-kept. Foliage will be removed, etc. It was interesting to see, as the gardener the palms climb. Access to the internet is available. However was the reception at the bungalow rather weak. In the lobby was a good connection possible.

The holiday resort is a medium-sized hotel with three own restaurants. Accommodation can in the room in the garden chalet or at the beach bungalow be booked. There is otherwise yet room in gardenchalets on the other side of the street. We had a beach bungalow with breakfast and booked half board. The cleanliness was very reasonable. We can have the poor review from Stefan from the July 2012 in many points contradict. The design of the bungalow was tastefully decorated. The open bathroom was clean and beautiful. Certainly you could here and there the one or other point of criticism can - if you wanted. Because of the bad review from Stefan we had before the vacation still at short notice tried to change. This had not worked and we were glad. We liked the holiday resort was very good; price and performance is true.

Outside of senggigi, what we didn't mean were. Senggigi is a plain tourist place consisting of bars, restaurants and stores the souvenirs sold. Because we relaxing vacation without commotions wanted to do, was the location of the hotel for us optimally. The one and a half hourly drive to and from to the airport did not bother us. Opposite of the hotel is a mini market in which one inexpensive drinks, snacks and cigarettes can buy. We have excursions in the south and in the north the island made. The trips by car to the particular objectives were interesting, since you have such a further impression of the island get. The beach not with chairs 'ruined' is, even really good pleased;-)

Rooms are big enough. Facilities with a safe, kettle, mini bar, air conditioning, tv ( only 1 channel in German-dw). We had a balcony, as we were on the top floor were. Rooms were clean and fit.

There are 3 restaurants, but somehow connected with one another are. Similarly, 2 bars available. Happy hour 50% in the gecko bar from 10:00 P. M. and of the pool bar it was 25% from 5:00 P. M.. Food in the restaurant is a bit more expensive as in the pub in sengigi. Per person one must with about 10 €be prepared. Beer is generally on Lombok expensive. In the hotel the large beer with circa 6 Euro. There is alternative like fruit juices and a variety of teas and coffee. Cleanliness and hygiene are not an issue. Cooked national and international. Pleasant atmosphere in the restaurants. For breakfast is usually something for everyone. It was fruit to eggs, bacon and national dishes everything available.

Staff are extremely friendly. We are especially ketut ( waiter in the restaurant) and wawan (bar mixer in of the pool bar) as especially friendly noticed. English is normally not a problem, sometimes also German. Cleaning of the rooms was always at least 10 hours, and was very good. More amenities we didn't use. Complaints there was no.

Entertainment was not available - was not necessary also. Table tennis and pool there were. Beach volleyball court was also available, but no players. Access to the internet with wi-fi was available, but only an access code per room. Another code is at the front desk. Chairs are abundant. After the beach relatively narrow, and the gezeitenhub relatively strong, there is at the beach no chairs. On the adjoining lawn but there is loungers, where you with a few steps at the beach is. Beach is on your doorstep. Airport transfer was with one and a half hours a little bit long. Shopping in the nearby located sengigi is a bit boring. When you have the opportunity, you should before or after in Bali shopping. From the hotel after sengigi you on the best with the taxi. The drive cost one and a half Euro (15000 rup.).

We had a garden-chalet and have before by mail the hotel were told that we would like to the room on the ground floor would have, near the pool. This wish was also fulfilled, while us the possibility given in direct pool location a room to refer. The size was really great for three persons. The closet and the many drawers in the room asked us enough possibilities for our clothes and so on really great. TUI writes the no safe for this category in the room returns, but it is not more. We only booked with breakfast and can also only rate, because we apart from that always outside from the hotel ate. For breakfast there all possible breads, sweet bits, different asian dishes, muesli, cereal, marmelade, juices an egg station, the everything was freshly made, even eggs you could boil. Tea or coffee was served. The employees were as far as on the ball, you should only consider the August Ramadan and Lombok mostly muslims lives. A bit more time need the then, but one is on vacation and not on the run. Apart from that it was clean and the tables were quickly cleared and again newly restocked. During the day you could for little money at the beach a pineapple or mango cut. Very delicious.

Immediately after our arrival, you at the front desk us the possibility a up grade given. For 8 Euro per day we would have a room directly at the pool come may. After we but different room we have looked at, we are in our booked garden chalet on the ground floor we could have stayed longer, because that was the open bathroom had and only 10 steps more of the pool away. In English you could communicate very well. There is a small supermarket right at the hotel, but outside the supermarket is logical way cheaper and you can here in 2 to 3 minutes runs. The cleaning of the rooms was the only point of the us pleased. Our boy has not a single day time wet out swept or the dust on the glasregalen away,. We complained about it but not, since it was not so bad. The room was for three persons big enough and it was sufficient space for clothes and so on a safe was also available, as well as a fridge you could fill yourself. Daily but also three small bottles to the room brought. The air conditioning worked well, although we rarely needed. The climate in Indonesia is different like in Thailand. It's not so hot and humid.

There is entertainment no in the hotel, a kids club, for the few young guests. For the internet there is a code per room at the front desk. We could even by the pool in the net and also in the room it was not a problem to go online, the only downside was, the only one the code could use, with three persons something stupid, especially if one a daughter with the then very long in the net moves. The pool is really very nice laid out, loungers are a little bit, especially if the hotel once fully booked there should be. The holiday resort is about 5 kilometer outside of cake. It is a means of big hotel, which really nice designed. Cleanliness on the complex is important here. There are a variety of room types and you can the complex with breakfast or half board book. The guests are from all around the world and in all age groups. It is a quiet complex, getting a bit old however for relaxing perfectly suited. Some reviews we could not at all understand. They were friendly all of the girls at the front desk to the gardener, but as one says nice, as you in the forest purely walk, so walk there again. There were tourists who believe are the king and so behavior they then also. Really awful. A hotel bad, because you are not at the beach beach chairs is totally incomprehensible for us. Perhaps they should have better with its destination and its selected hotel and better informed. If you want to sausage and cheese for breakfast not do without can, you should probably better vacation in its own four walls to spend. Asien is always worth a trip, but you should already open for the culture and the people. As mentioned the complex is located outside of cake on a very narrow beach section. There are no possibility at the beach to beach chairs, but you can with all organizers reading. The next town is about kilometers away, but that was never a problem, there were always taxis in front of the hotel and for about 1.20-1.50 Euro one comes fast to the place. Here lots of restaurants also a free rückfahrservice and if you back a table was reserved also free in the hotel picked up. Excursions you can in the hotel but also book in that place, which not a problem is. There are many private driver even speak German and their island show. The excursions on Lombok are a bit more expensive like Bali, but for German still cheap. Shopping is not the hit, but that was not an issue for us. The island is still very original and in comparison to Bali very much quiet. Whoever wants to party is totally wrong. The new airport from Lombok is located unfortunately 90 minutes away from the hotel.

We had a beach bungalow booked, which in my opinion very worth it. The location to the sea is simply a one-off and the view or the sunset on a clear day view towards Bali and gunung Agung simply gigantic. The rooms are big enough, the tv program on normal standard (inclusive HBO, star movie and all European Asia channels). The bathroom like us still. The showers outside was a hit. It is to mention again: the holiday resort was opened in December of 1995. For this age is the complex in good condition. Especially the garden is as I have already mentioned a feast for the eyes. In Tropenzonen must hotels earlier be renovated as in our opinion, this is done a lot what we in 14 days vacation not at all to face get. The you should even consider. The prices in the restaurants in senggigi were with meat dishes sometimes even higher than the holiday resort. Concerning the service, all our expectations from our earlier stay the holiday resort is exceeded. This risk we are conscious and didn't regret it. All service employees were fun, inciting in the pleasant Kind, efficient and customer service oriented. Kudos! Our room boy Budy turned on the first day personally before and let us do, that if we had a request we could say to him should. The laundry was perfect on the same day without expressage again returned. Once licked our water tap in the bathroom, after the message and our return was the half washbasin as a couple apart taken. In short: it was perfect! Also in this area simply only note of 6!

This holiday resort features a beautiful beach section, this is normal wide for Lombok and very clean. The guest structure was in October -at the beginning of the low season- well mixed, mainly through Australian and Europeans. The new airport, the bandara Lombok Internasional, is now since the beginning of October 2011 open. This made possible by the longer Piste future flights with larger machines to Lombok.
