This was a nice lodge in Masai Mara. Unfortunately not the best location, she located near the parkeingangs, this leads to longer because of the restaurant. The food was good, the beverages (even water) costs even full board extra. The beverages could to the room and at the end be paid. At the day of departure the credit card machine however not, so you should better a little cash to bring their own.
The bell boy did a bit disturbed. They were always as much tips for the carrying bags was included to obtain. This led partly in addition, that ... for the last 5 meters again another institution the luggages snatched.
I would this lodge again, probably however rather another for better location (perhaps the keekerok lodge). read more

The way to the lodge is very bumpy, as almost all' streets' in Masai Mara. This lodge has double bungalows with small terraces. The room is big enough and at the whole double bed you can have a mosquito net drag. The bathroom is very big. There are towels, shower gel and shampoo. Also the brush your teeth water bottles available. All meal times ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) there is buffet-Form. We enjoyed it. A pool and enough chairs there are also. We stayed for two nights in the lodge, but had no time the pool to use. A ... guest lounge there is a massive fireplace, by several sides works. Evenings you can sit comfortably and a ( unfortunately very expensive) cocktail. read more

It was our 3. Lodge in our large Masai Mara Safari. Also here there were many porters and everyone wanted a suitcase par. Since our lodge a bit further away was from the reception, we found it this time pleasant, our suitcase not drag had, so for us was also the tips justified. The staff, no matter wether operation or front desk, it was always nice and in case of any problems we got immediately assistance. The bathroom is however spacious, but the lines for water must be determined bathroom be changed. As evenings all showered, was the water a ... little tight. But also this is Afrika, we have just second day later shower. The Masai Mara with its whole animals has been fully compensated. If you don't there was really has missed anything. Here a few animals, the we next near saw: lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and so on also here we would have liked to have stayed longer. We had a great driver in the 8 days, he was called Wiliem -Osama and the animals from far and made us attentive on the. The water in the pools on the lodges was always very cold. But there is also in the July winter, unfortunately only up to 30°C on the day, evenings it was still 20 °C. for the Africans it was cold. The food has tasted good and there was also a large variety available. The Hyänenfütterung was also interesting, but we will then have a the next morning on our safari seen, without Anlockmittel, it was much beautiful. We felt in Mara Sopa Lodge felt really good. read more

The lodge is very quaint laid out. The bungalows consist of two rooms. For every room there was a small terrace with table and two chairs. However are the premises very badly soundproofed.
the food I felt quite tasty and the variety you are here hard-working. In the afternoon, you can enjoy coffee and tea self-service. For dinner it is in the restaurant because of lack of lighting a little dark, but they can also really cozy work. read more

Good lodge in a beautiful panoramic location. With our 2104M highest located lodge. Scores with the situation in the Massei Mara. We stayed for two days. In the evening after dark is a hyena feeding instead. You can watch a higher terrace. We saw about 15 hyenas and three jackals. Since the complex is built on a hillside, you have to climb many steps, so not suitable for disabled people. The bungalows (two units) are arranged on a long way and are typically African eingeríchtet. Mosquito nets are like all other lodges also mandatory. The decor is good, just a ... safe we missed (like the other lodges also, except Lake Naivasha). In the evening there is a show of Massei-warriors. The pool was relatively small, but the view nicely laid out. read more

We spent two days at the lodge. Since the end of the rainy season was, was the condition of the road to extremely bad. Also in the Masai Mara, the minibus partly problems. The lodge at the edge of the park, we drove with the various safaris always at 1. Part of the same way. We still saw a great many animals. Volt A. the lions were very plentiful and very close!
In the evening there was a nice performance of a massai-dance.
The food was very extensive and varied. The grilled meat was delicious.
When we were there, there ... were a lot of Indians in the lodge, the obnoxious on the day.
The room was very nice-everything was OK. read more

The sopa-lodge was the last stop of our large Kenya safari. We were here for two nights. In comparison to the other lodges lacking the perfect view from the room, including in Tsavo East and amboseli-nature.
Therefor of the Masai Mara-national park with great impressions. The big five were not a problem. A trip to Tanzania to the Mara-river with crocodiles and Nilpferden. Highlight was the Cheetahs-Mom with two young right on the edge of 'competition' without a single-jeep!
In the area many monkeys around, the much more pleasant the baboon for example in the ol tukai-lodge. The pool was ... very nice.
Worth mentioning the hyenas are feeding and the fact, that my white Russian with coco milk was. ☺ read more

In the context of the Masai Mara Safari were spent two nights without any complaints in this lodge. In the immediate vicinity there is a Masai village, which is reachable within a few minutes walk. Through the altitude of the lodge of about 2000m the air conditioning was also bearable for Europeans. read more

Nice lodge in the Masai Mara. Ideal starting point for safaris. Something spacious, so very long paths to the bungalows. There are often failures again, so you should really think of a flashlight. Unfortunately, we had bad luck that, in our room the power outage a Komplettausfall of the electricity was 24 hours and we had no electricity, but only in our room. Unfortunately, the compensate for the problem was probably not PRIO 1 and we had to complain about three times, until the damage has been fixed. The only problem is, that there are unfortunately in the evening at ... 18 o'clock dark and GG half past seven in the morning so bright. Which meant we could complete darkness in shower and getting ready for the Safari ☹
The food is okay, no culinary highlight, but it was not a total loss. In the evening in the lobby, there is a bonfire lit and there are several demonstrations and actions (Masai-dance, etc. Feeding) this is great. To the lodge for a couple of Bush babies life, which is very nice. The complex is guarded by Masai, the very sociable and have a chat with the guests think, so you get to know a little about their culture, etc. read more

We stayed during our 3-day stopover in a safari Mara sopa lodge. The lodge is really fantastically located. The view is wonderful and the whole area is green in green. How to blow hole lodge were a bit annoying but Oh Well.
The food was great and very varied. There was so much choice, that we probably 5 kilogram more on the scales have driven ☺ One day was angeschmissen even a huge outdoor barbecue area.
The service staff was friendly and accommodating. A tip was gladly seen.
The pool was a bit small, but very clean. But as it ... was early May not such a big tourist rush was, we had plenty of space for us.
The room was really nice. We had a huge double bed with screens and in the room we had enough room to dance, so there was plenty of space. The bathroom was large and everything was available. But in Kenya The bathrooms are generally not quite as nice. This was also, although it was in comparison to other Bäders very good cut off. Furthermore, there was a huge lobby with seating in front of the room, as well as a balcony/room access.
In the lodge, there is a small shop.
There was an event every evening for example dance or feeding the Hyjänen Masai.
For the tourist was modeled on the land border a small Masai-village with 2-3 cabins, which you can check out. The days are here Masai-women, which show the houses, as well as sell souvenirs. Women are sometimes a bit penetrating at the sale. If you don't like that, you should see the village not during the day, but at night, when they are gone. We were shown to our guide a real Masai village outside, which reflect the real living habits of the Masai.
In the lodge, there are long-tailed monkeys. We saw these rather in the morning and in the evening. We must be careful not to animal pilferer.
I can highly recommend the lodge and would go again and again. read more

We had two nights ind this lodge. Immediately gefiehlen the bungalows and the complex. Everything was at first glance very well maintained and clean for the most part. The staff in the first evening left to be desired, very unfriendly, forgetful and indifferent.
The food was in buffet form and it made everything a good impression.
In the night it was then unfortunately extremely bad, stomach cramps, vomiting and much, much more. As there are 60% of our party so ended, I am sure the food must have not voted. The next day I limited my food in this lodge ... on dry bread. After we had a conversation with the manager (a very friendly man) have improved the friendliness of the staff at the next evening. They were all nice and the drinks went to this evening to the house. My stomach brought it unfortunately nothing, but it was a very nice touch.
I would be careful in this lodge with the food a bit.
Otherwise we had in Masai Mara sopa lodge a nice stay.
We highly recommend this sapling exclusively for its atmosphere and bungalows farther, but not for the food and the staff. read more

The lodge is a Kurzaufenthält during a safari actually good. There are better, but also worse. But: people on your things! It was like stealing. Before we even our driver warned, this lodge is therefor unfortunately famous. In fact, despite all the precautionary measures, I am 100 euro has stolen, as well as some small Badgegenstände. And the front desk? The languages of English or were very bad 'very concerned'. I hope, the money is at least one benefit needy family. read more

One of the best lodges in Kenya. Sopa chain is really very good. In Masai Mara it was wonderful. Good location directly in a national park. Just ten minutes from the great animal landscape.
Very friendly staff, very attentive but not pushy. My husband has just celebrated my birthday here and it was no problem getting a cake in front of the dinner and after dinner Hakuna Matata the whole staff Jambo song. Super Errinerung. Masai came also.
Some of the rooms are a little way from the front desk and since this lodge is 2200 meters, you will feel ... a small walk, that it is. Is however 24 hour security because of the animals there. The room itself was very large, very clean and the bathroom is also huge.
Pool was okay, one could relax well.
All in all a great stay here.
Nearby is also a Masai village and a school, for 15 euros per person can visit. Masai guide was personally there. Photos are allowed. read more

Very nice-in Africa style-lodge at the edge of the Masai Mara.
This is also the only (small) drawback of the lodge, you will have to go far in the Mara hineinzufahren vast, Mara-river, for example, approximately 50 kilometer stretch. As others have (Serena lodge) hostels advantages-therefor is faster.
Otherwise there is nothing to complain about, except for the poorly sound-proofed bungalows. Great pool with view over the valley, great food (we had dinner-very varied Africa), beautiful bar with fireplace.
In the evening hyenas feeding-but only wild boars.
All in all was okay. read more
