The hotel is directly at the beach in a bay. It is exclusively for adults-centred and is our opinion mainly for couples over 50 years. The hotel has no wi-fi, which is for lots of guests a conversion is. 2 weeks no internet with all, which related to, and the westerners so is accustomed. Very friendly staff, especially, if you have a tip leaves. The supply in this hotel is without objection, however, we had to also times 3 days without butter and the order Mojito manage, because the mint ran out ☺ read more

    Very nice big room in the well-known style of the Karibik. The bathrooms are in need of renovation. Showers in the bathtub with curtain is not so our thing. Facilities etc. Alright.

    There was a main restaurant with buffet and several specialty restaurants. We have only the mediterranean and the restaurant à la carte visits. In comparison to the dishes at the buffet we felt this not as enrichment, apart from you're served. The quality of the dishes was basically not bad, but we have in other 5 star restaurants already experienced better. Unfortunately the food was(in the warming part were) often cold. It was always better to the meat fresh roasts. No well mixed cocktails, except for the typical drinks such as Mojito and Daiquiri. Piña Colada was ready mixed and tasted also sunday

    Very friendly service, especially, if you have a tip. Good foreign language skills in english. German rather less. Everyday the rooms were properly cleaned and every day the towels were changed.

    The distance to the hotel is 1 hour with the taxi. We had TUI the premiumpaket booked, which the private transfer Includes. Is definitely the distance to the airport recommendable. It is an all inclusive hotel. Nearby there is nothing else, except for nature. The hotel lies directly at a bay with a nice sandy beach, however also time high waves, because the atlantic side of the Karibik acts.

It was our 2. stay on Cuba, already at the first visit we had the country and people much to appreciate. Our holiday was a trip to (anm. 'the east kubas' of TUI, thanks to our excellent guide very adventurous was). The hotel general deserves full a 'very good'. Already the welcoming at the reception was very hospitable, with a glass of champagne, as well as a friendly lady, the the registration for a job, while the luggage to the apartment and drove to the room brought to you, as one introduces oneself. The complex is huge, very well-kept, with ... a beautiful garden area (you somehow also in good shape, without, as least in Mallorca, the vacationers with the constant sound of the rasenmähers to 'please'). The flachbauweise is unobtrusive, in spite of the size is the complex well arranged, so that you quickly found the way. Where you always went, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exemplary, a smile, and a 'how can it be?' Escorted a little of the front desk until to the beach.     Had this point in our last review on Mallorca the hotel under the ' 4 suns' stituents, you can just say : really good. The tables in the restaurants were quickly set (and without much rattle! ) , the service was attentive, fast and always friendly. The smile and a friendly word were to some extent the 'status quo', from the front desk over the restaurants, the bar to the room maids and the gardeners. Go! The language skills were for a hotel good, smaller repairs (broken lamp or toilet flush) were immediately (! ) Taken care of. Our maid, our room always tüv or tv monitor was.

    The entertainment was quite varied, but charming back. The entertainment in the evening at the bar was mostly very good (related to the programme and the quality the musicians) and had a very diverse mix of smooth jazz, world music or local sounds. The volume was okay, so that you relax with a drink and conversation. Sunbeds at the pool and the beach were sufficiently available, beach towels were provided free of charge and could be changed as often as you liked (basically a matter of course, but after our last experience...) , also shade were sufficiently, partly in very quaint 'cabins'.     The transfer from holguin takes approximately 45-60 minutes (depending on the vehicle). The hotel is located on a large bay with a neighboring hotel, so that the filling of the beach natural limits. The view of the bay is wonderful, if you like, you can get those after physical activities from the jacuzzi enjoy. The beach itself is fine sand, indeed but rocky areas on the transition to the water, so that bathing shoes really no mistake are (is but also without, if one listened, where you go force). The water is clean, who likes can nearby snorkelling (is not Maldives or hawaii, but a little tropenflora and fauna you can see). Small restriction: natural shade possibilities are a bit sparse, umbrellas are free of charge available provided. We rate here only the benefits in the royal service. The rest of the hotel is great, we have stayed three times over there and will go there again. With our 4. stay but we were very dissapointed - value royal stands in no relation. Here only the royal club! read more

    The royal restaurant and the royal bar were the biggest flops! In the restaurant daily the same card, all dishes with a side dish mashed potatoes, carrots, tinned mushrooms, balsamic vinegar. Food was cooked unlovingly, had on the first evening a fillet ordered and got a 0.5 centimeter thick hockey puck. Two days later i ordered the steak again and said even '2. opportunity' for the fillet and i got... Ragout! After that, we were as almost all royals normal food. At the drafty and not cosy bar the same beverages as in the main bar, the paradisus-nothing more for a lot of money ☺ Quite on the contrary, wanted on the first evening a special drink (Havana Club 15), answer was' we have not, only downstairs in the main bar '. Amazing. Expensive area there would be no money for an expensive rum on a budget. The better the offered in the map drinks were 'in the moment nicht' since. Two weeks ☺ Drink you liked a coffee at the beach? Gladly, on main beach of the hotel, in the royal area has the beach bar no coffee maker...

    Location, well... The top of the adjacent mountain the paradisusanlage. The small beach was nice and had which from the Maldives, so, it was quiet. But a lot of seaweed and further inside lots of seagulls - bath shoes do not forget! The rest the hotel we mostly with the club -Cars dangers, everything very far. The car then always the ' end of Cuba' ordered, so far was off the beaten path...

The Rio de Oro is already getting a bit old. Nevertheless highly recommendable and wonderfully located. One has the possibility, several beaches to bathe. Unfortunately only, that you at the main beach the stones from the water clears (with a little effort could have been a wonderful beach), so you have to be careful, that you are your feet are not violated. The hotel complex is very extensive and varied flora and fauna. Gladly again at any time! read more

Very extensive complex nestled in beautiful nature. You can go for long beautiful walks with view of the sea or also to the mangroves and many types of birds. You met everywhere large crabs, lizards and sometimes a queue. It is everywhere very clean. One bay all inclusive and really not disappointed. Mainly English, canadians and spanish. Some German.     Bungalows with 8 units. Big room, good beds, furniture a bit run-down, bathroom needs so slow be renovated but still everything was decent and clean. Big balcony, safe, mini bar filled, every day water, coffee machine, iron-and board, hair dryer, toiletries, many towels. Beach towels in the room-in the clubhouse to be exchanged.     A buffet restaurant with different motto evenings. Showcooking with pasta, fish, meat. Good quality but unfortunately sometimes only lukewarm. Hummer, scampi, geräucheter salmon there is every day. Here you can also eat lunch. At noon there is a snack restaurant at the beach(à la carte). Very good sea view and cuban live music. There, there are salads, sandwich, fish, meat. At the pool there was a snack restaurant with fresh pizza( very good), pasta, burger... Then there was for evenings 4 spezitalitätenrestaurants (with vorreservierung and à la carte). Japanese with showcooking was very good, el patio was also very good (international -definitely Hummer try). Then there is still another cubans and an mediterraneanes restaurant-we weren't there. The food is everywere very good, there is nothing to complain about there. Everywhere sparkling wine, cocktails, wine and all drinks as much as you want.

    Higher with view of the sea. To the beach you can go several steps down. Next place is guadalavarca about kilometers away-costs 5 cuc with the taxi. There, there are nothing to see except a small souvenirmarkt the every day take place and a beach with locals. Airport approximately 1 hour away. Excursions you can book, unfortunately is it in this region not lots to see. We were to Santiago de Cuba(3.5 st. And the same back) and to holguin. Here one sees in any case something from the right Cuba.

    We stayed in a junior suite sea view with a wonderful sea view, outdoor shower, bath tub with jacuzzi... The room is very large, divided into a living and sleeping area ( to summarize room). Also the bathroom is huge with two washbasin. Simply super! The room service was excellent. In the cleaning of the rooms there are no faults. The rooms have air-conditioning devices and ceiling fan, large walk-in closet with safe, mini bar, the refilled daily will, coffee machine. The balcony is big and beautiful.

    The staff are super friendly, not pushy and you get every request. All speak English, spanish, some also German. Big praise our butler reynaldo, the always on the spot and despite some language barriers (we could badly English) to us each desire fulfilled. Big praise also at Edgar, the at the front desk works. He speaks German, English, spanish and is a quiet sovereign man. Unfortunately in the hotel there were too many chefs. You would the rest of the staff more private games room and a lot would better work.

    All pools are very clean and nicely laid out. The pool the royal service section is smaller, but with three level distributed. Simply great made! The entertainment in the main hotel consists of shows and live music and are very recommendable. The royal service section it is discreet to, but the good lady at the piano, I found very pleasant.

    The royal service section has two private beach bays with beach bar and drinks-service up to liege. The hotel lies an hour away from the airport. You should, in our opinion in any case the upgrade to the royal service make, because the benefits the stay clearly improve. The beaches from the RS are Postkartenstrände and the food in the restaurants was very good and recommendable is El patio with the lemon cheesecake as a dessert:-) ( another tip for the men, long pants were definitely Duty and one should sufficient carry forward, the best thin Stoffhosen!). The rooms are in good condition and the bathroom with jacuzzi and outdoor shower is an experience. read more

The hotel complex is really beautifully arranged, you can go for long walks undertake and everywhere we met geckos, or crabs (at night), it really is an adventure...:-). All areas in the hotel are very clean. We had the royal service booked, and had our own pool ( with other royal service guests). The hotel is for guests from 18, therefore there were almost only couple there. read more

    We had a royal service luxury suite. This room was very big, it was everything in it that you need, unfortunately there was only a shower, which I didn't like. But there is also a bath tub with jacuzzi.

    There is several restaurants, the food was everywere very good, except the teppanyaki did not taste us, the meat was much too dry, but the show and ambience in the restaurant were beautiful.     The staff are very friendly and not pushy at all, but you get every request. Of course everything was a bit slower, you are in Karibik and sometimes you did not everything there ( for example ketchup), but that is on Cuba stop sunday Wasn't a problem to us. All speak English, but we could spanish, this is of course the best. The cleaning of the rooms has always worked well, except for a few details. Cleaning the laundry was good and quick worked.     The two pools are very beautifully designed. But we were only at the pool the royal service, get mach again and again details food, naturally in vain, there is balinese beds, the very comfortable are. The pool is very clean. At the beach everything is very well maintained, the water is so clear, that no goggles needs.

    The hotel is directly at the beach, for the royal service there are 2 beaches, one of them is very small and there is no shade there, we were once in the morning and had this beach part for us all alone. The airport is far away, an hour drive! The hotel itself has one or two boutiques where one everything possible can buy, outside of the hotel there is nothing, you have to with the taxi go. There are some excursions, we were at the beach at the Columbus for the first time had invested, the is located in a nature park, actually this park is not really worth a trip... Entry expensive and boring.

Our 2 wöchige Flitterwochenreise spent we end of May/ beginning June in Cuba this luxurious hotel! The whole day you were from the staff pampered, whether fruit by the pool or the couch shipped drinks, as well as free catamaran turns, a jacuzzi with first class view of the sea and chilled sparkling wine. The whole drain in the hotel is simply consistent. The animation is not pushy, but it is offered and is! Housekeeping service in the room is very good, problems fast fixed. 2 malige visits in the room by cleaning staff for 'decoration' in the form of ... Blooms, or towel figures, as well as another Aufräumaktionen in some tip or material things, are pre-programmed! The service in the hotel is in the lobby to find. There are 2 computer's. for 5 CUC/ 30 minutes you can internet use. We spent our honeymoon at this dreamlike hotel and must say, that it simply a dream was. The complex is really nice to nature and because of the size one gets never the feeling the hotel have lots of guests. You get at any time of the day a space by the pool or at the beach. Food and drinks were also very good. Clear recommendation. read more

Since we as honeymooners arrived, we got of the organizer and from the hotel management for our booked bungalow a much better offered included round-the-Clock room service. The room was twice a day lovely and tidy, and the bed flower arrangements decorated. Pleasant was, that it is a without children hotel was - so no shouting and geplärre. Food and drink were in every restaurant excellent and well seasoned. The staff really everywhere super friendly and helpful. The pool area - simply magnificent. Only, as it is a all inclusive-hotel was use many holidayers, mostly English, Schotten, Irish and Canadian ... the ' free alcohol'-we both are absolute not drunk. The audience was what the age mixed and everybody was peacefully, so that a harmonious together was also during the EM. To mention would be the hotel's own disco - absolutely great and a good contrast to the usual allabwndlichen show program. Music requests were performed will there gladly received. From the beach I was unfortunately a little disappointed, as he too coarse, wavy and descending was. Then so do the wonderful pool area from the hotel use. In any case it was the dream vacation of my life and we will definitely again once there flies. read more

We have spent our honeymoon over there and it was dreamlike! Want definitely again there! It is however rather to relax etc. Suitable! If you wanted to experience something (also outside of the hotel) should rather in the vicinity of Havanna or Varadero! I would however the royal service area again! I hardly believe, that it was worth it! But that everyone should know! read more

A super -hotel, where to eat, quality, cleanliness nothing to fault returns. Also the staff are not on tip from, makes its service in friendly and always funny way. One could absolutely feel at home. We inhabited a small bungalow with outdoor shower to the garden back. Can only be recommended! ¨ really quiet location, proximity to the beach and the center the hotel complex located. The beach even. Rather disappointing. Very small hotel's own beach section, the very quickly over-crowded and thus a atmosphere from Mallorca-beach mediated. The entrance into the water. Also rocky and uncomfortable. Bathing shoe recommendable. ... If you however good on foot is, so you could off the beaten track this section good alternative find. A dream beach is located in the spa area. It is admittedly, this section only for spa -guests is (spa -treatment starting at € 80. 00/expensive entry to the beach), but since in Cuba the law prevails: the beach is for everyone. You can directly after the SPA_Eintritt a path to the spa -beach take. Worked really good. What we do not evaluate was, we did not visit and therefore not measurable. read more

We can the detailed ( positive) reviews the other tourist regarding service, room, complex, cleanliness, beach amongst others follow. However a few personal advice 1. for the beach or pool a sports water bottle carry forward. These can one itself at the pool-/ beach bar with drinks refill. Apart from that you have to like we often run. (0.20 liter cups are served ). Now and then also someone and brings something. 2. Definitely to the weight of the suitcase on the return flight eighth. Several German had to at the airport pay, before you make your suitcase back ... received (3 kilogram = 50, -€).     The service was by far the best we in Cuba experienced. ( had in round trip in various hotels) The staff from the cleaning lady to the staff in the restaurants languages perfect English. The cleaning of the rooms was every tomorrow without any complaint. ( the woman was very nice and asked each morning as it is, whether everything fits and so on) As a small bonus we could on the day of departure, although actually subject to a charge, during the day in our room stay. ( our tour operator from TUI negotiated)

    We were just at the beach for swimming, snorkeling. Which animation it by the pool was I can't say. The beach had certain areas the very rocky were, however also sections with perfect sandy beach without any stones. We were a lot on the' house's reef' snorkeling, since this within a few minutes to reach. Evenings there was next to the bar always a small show with dancing or music performances. Very good, with a delicious cocktail from the bar to look at.
