Station proximity and facilities top, but in all in all never five star superior. When we arrived there was no porter, for the luggages taken care of. But no end of the world, the stairs you could manage. The check in and check out smoothly without any problems. The room (number 135) was slightly over stairs or lift. But despite elevator one must again a few steps walk, so this room nothing for persons with mobility problems. The room was tiny, but quality furniture. Numerous stains on the floor, dripping shower and spots on numerous points in the bathroom. Plus ... point the warm floor in the bathroom. The breakfast was more or less bad. Little choice, comparable with the next door liegendenem Inter City Hotel. Egg dishes should freshly prepared be, however you had to this panhandle. Whether i tea or coffee wishes, i was not at all asked. Our clear it had the ladies not planned. 3 persons at the table, a was a ' greetings from of the kitchen' serves, the other ignored. I can't explain, but always came the idea: 'never 5 stars'. You read always complaints of vacations in 5 stars hotels in Turkey or Egypt and then you're in this star hotel and says this. The Steigenberger metropolitan is a good 4 star hotel-it has actually five stars, how these were achieved is however still a mystery to me. The hotel scores extremely through the fußnahe location to the frankfurt main station, everything else is as mentioned a classic 4 star hotel adequate, and the room size very questionable since extremely small for this price range is. The numerous aufzugsmotoren and air conditioning in the courtyard are extremely good to play.
The staff were very friendly and helpful the certain touch a 5 * professionalism then nevertheless to be desired left-everything very lax handled.
The ... ' wellness and fitness area ' is a joke - a mini-sauna, to just 65 degrees, everything very closely, perhaps fit maximum 3-4 people in the entire premises. There are hostels, the better offer.
Impossible is also the entrance area - 8 stairs and not automatically lead to opening door make fun with two large suitcases, the concierge is only from and when to be seen. read more

12 meters² for 5 stars are outrageous! Water tap apostatizes, stains on klo and bath tub. Although higher class booked, no response at the front desk for a different room. Bathrobes to have also only einheitsgrössen - the front desk does not help there also!
Staff the work out of the way! (doorman converses with known passers-by, instead of to help; applies for staff at breakfast)
Moderate breakfast buffet for this price!
At least whilst checking out has front desk the criticism and clear the price reduced! read more

The hotel is for people on business trip suited. Good connection to the main station, as well as all public transportation. Front desk A check very friendly and skilled. Doorman is only sporadically at the entrance, therefore no 5 stars-front desk, luggage up in the lobby over several steps (there is no ramp for the trolley past). Rooms okay, bar and restaurant me peersönlich good. Breakfast with egg dishes à la carte very good, friendly serving staff and pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is for city tourists less suitable. In the vicinity little attractive restaurants and shops. For duchreisenden train or ... airport it is a wonderful place to spend the night. In the complete I could however no five star hotel shows here is missing the cut. read more

Unfortunately a very poor service in the restaurant. Rude and flippant.
Ordered came way too late or not at all. Without apologizing. And the, although the restaurant empty was incomprehensible.

The hotel lies directly opposite the main station. Decor and atmosphere etnsprechen a good Steigenberger-standard. However are 5 stars, Wei currently by the dehoga lent not appropriate. The parking is a disaster. There wasn't even the possibility to park in front of the hotel, in order to unload luggage. You have to park in the parking garage of the station and take your luggage across the train station to the hotel. Also the parking costs 24 hour for 25, -€. On a mail five days before date of arrival, with the issue of the parking, was not answered. The room was extremely small for a five-star hotel. The shower water ran out. On the first day the ordered boiled egg was forgotten. On the second day the ... coffee they forgot to bring, only after asking we were given a pot of coffee for two people.
The buffet was only refilled on request. All in all, you would expect from a 5-star hotel. read more

We stayed for two nights over new Year's Eve with two other couples in the hotel. Since we had bought a voucher, was the price for the received performance ratio okay. However, the hotel is not five stars (representation). The breakfast and the service were very good, but without enthusiasm factor, as in a hotel. The staff at the new Year's Eve was weak and the event impersonal. I would like to mention 'wellness area' the sauna is very small and has maximum space for four people. My rating would not negatively over, but with five stars I expect a ... little more. The hotel is a good four stars hotel and therefor to be recommended. read more

We spent the turn of the year 2009/10 in this hotel. This arrangement with buffet, dance and a night incls. Brunch and late check-out until 15:00 we had on eBay.
The hotel is located directly across the street from the train station, the check-in went smoothly and was to our request for a smoking room. This room was not very big, the carpet was full of stains fire, the bathroom walls heavily stained, the supplied bathrobe full of holes.
The very disappointing, but it was almost the only point of criticism. Meanwhile one is used it as a smoker ... in the furthest corner, although the same price.
The late check-out had also so its tücken, the rooms was only until 12:00 programmed card, who later in his room didn't come in. Unfortunately, we were not told this before. Our train back later, we wanted to use the late check-out and had to remain in the room, because now once you couldn't get in anymore.
But otherwise everything was very good, service/friendliness buffet-facilities-room service-front desk.
A five stars hotel, the cleanliness of our room has its star with good reason. read more

We had a one night including 6-course menu and buffet breakfast booked through eBay/bargained for-this resulted a very good value for money (we had practical only the menu and the stay included breakfast).
Front desk and check-in was very professional and friendly-we have received on arrival directly with all necessary information.
The room was for the official hotel category a bit on the small side (if I 'normal' have been paid, I won't be agreed)-but everything offered here in this category can be expected.
The bathroom was very attractive and of adequate size.
The small sauna area was disappointing by ... too few beach chairs in the area (only four chairs!)-disturbing was the very loud noise of the water pump or fan in the aquarium.
The new Year's Eve menu was excellent, the food was of excellent quality, optimal prepared and served by a very attentive and professional staff.
Live piano music to the company played we thought was very pleasant.
For us it was a completely successful beautiful evening.
The right, if you want a quiet, benefit rich evening-other guests were disappointed, because they had more 'atmosphere' expected-but the description of the offer was clearly to read, that the enjoyment and not in the mood '.
From the breakfast buffet we were a little disappointed-but it is a matter of taste-and whether you consider it as pleasant experiences, if all the hot food to be ordered and then to be served.
I can pick you want, if I did not also the warm dishes (scrambled eggs, meatballs, bacon, pancakes etc.) even at the buffet, everything from a quick bite to try and what I especially liked can easily.
Everything had to be ordered, then in a very good quality of the food-but it was a fairly long wait connected with, until it was served. read more

We enjoyed our stayed in a 6-steigenberger course new Year's Eve menu and it was just great. A beautiful hotel with a much better kitchen. One of the best meals we have ever eaten, for a special occasion a real highlight. Very centrally located, checking-in was a pleasant procedure. read more
