We had a wonderful stay in this charming renovated Dutch colonial mansion. The rooms were enormous and tastefully furnished by the owners who went to a lot of trouble to ensure that the guest felt they were in a bygone era.
The hotel was spotless with friendly effecient staff always hovering around keeping the place tidy and offering the guests any service they required.
We had the half board (breakfast and diner included) and the menu was changed daily by the chef who was hand picked for his attention to detail and presentation and taste.
There is a large foyer ... area at the entrance where you can relax and read and take in the ambience of the place. The hotel is situated more or less in the centre of the fort area so it is not far to walk to the fort ramparts or anywhere for that matter.
My wife and I loved our stay here because of the way we were fussed over by the staff who were genuinely interested in who we were and where we came from, there was nothing they wouldn't do for us.
If you come here you will be spoilt and not want to leave,it was like a home a way from home type of stay.
If you want to stay in what I call a stainless steel hotel with all the trappings of the big city then don't stay here you won't find it, instead this boutique hotel offers the visitor a feeling that they are leaving friends when they check out. read more
