The interconti in Abu Dhabi is one of the older hotels of the city and one among many 5 star hotels in the square. The rooms are appropriately large and have either a window to the pool/ sea or the city. Wifi is in the room and also by the pool with moderate speed available. The guests stayed in the pool area mostly german or russian. The hotel has quite potential. By amateurish dealing with complaints and defects/restrictions with the leisure facilities the hotel i would in view of the many alternatives at the travel site not really recommend. read more

    Size of the room is absolutely sufficient and also the condition overall very good. The rooms are equipped with a huge bath with a big shower and bathtub, as well as a separate side room with a toilet. Balcony is most rooms not available. There is a large flat screen tv (including ARD, ZDF, RTL(?) , as well as a water kettle with tea and instant coffee.

    Friendliness and atention of the staff basically very good. Good service also by the pool. (among other things. Complimentary drinking water in small cooler) Room cleaning and dealing with complaints in our case unfortunately rather mixed. The shower in the bathroom there was leaky and water for the shower in the entire bathroom run. A first complaint at the front desk ran unsuccessfully-you said, that the problem of establishment, but nothing happened. (apart from the complaint on the next day in the system than done deposited.) With the 2. complaint on the next day at the front desk was therefore assured, that 'right' someone would come with us the damage to inspect and repair to begin. After two hours (!) The waiting in the room was nobody appeared and so there was the 3. complaint, that we simply ask the room change should. The room was technically, was on another floor and had another housekeeper. This understood it unfortunately not (obviously months?) The glass floors of a small regales the dustbin. The sight was when the light for a 5 star hotel quite unusual.

    The offer for itself extensive, but with weaknesses: Hotel features a pool (including pool bar), as well as a small private beach. The pool is already a bit dated and when diving you see clearly, that the border and on the floor of the pool already many small tile missing. In general the complex therefore slightly neglected. Around the private beach is currently a construction site all the way to the revaluation of the land- the use the beach was so declined. There is tennis courts and a gym (with sauna, steam room and hot tub-which unfortunately was out of order)

    Running time to the airport is around 30 to 45 minutes and costs about 65 aed. (~13 Euro) The hotel is at the sea and is only by the hotel's harbor from the (private) beach separated. 15 minutes on foot (alternatively: hotel shuttle - is however because umwegs not faster than on foot) is the Marina Mall with shopping possibilities (including Carrefour in the basement)

The hotel 'interkontinental' shines through his central location, its outstanding and professional Service, with a varied and tasty kitchen, rooms with a fantastic view Skyline views and the sea and is therefore certainly, that we absolutely nothing was missing. read more

The hotel lies at a Marina with berths for about 100 boats. At the Marina includes a beach section, from the you with a approximately 150 meters broad estuary views of an artificial island with man made sand piles has. Under beach holiday with a view of the sea we understand something else, using our photographs can everyone as there own picture of the hog. Currently there is still under construction, there will be a pool area, restaurants, and a new beach bar. The construction is through high wooden walls optically tucked away, but the heavy equipment you can hear ... but. Another construction spot gives it also at the entrance of the Marina, here is another building. The hotel itself we find great, everything seems to be dignified, is clean and in good repair. Our room had furniture in dark wood and had a very comfortable double bed with really good mattresses. In the spacious bathroom, with sink and bath there is also toilet and bidet (through glass door separated again), and a spacious shower. The facilities of the room include safe, minibar, and a flat-screen tv with amongst others ARD and ZDF, and swiss RTL. And for those who need it: iron and ironing board is there. We spent our days by the pool on the terrace on the 3. floor spend. It was mostly enough chairs, only once it was really cramped. It was at the time of the Abu Dhabi triathlon, since the hotel was fully booked. The pool boys, the previous stays in this hotel still without being asked the desired beach chair with towels changed and a cooler with 2 bottles brought, have deteriorated. We had to us even take care of you and the things get. Otherwise is the service in the hotel and restaurants nothing to complain. A highlight is sure the buffet in the restaurant selection, which one as a part of half board you could choose between lunch or dinner to enjoy. There is a great selection of appetizers, soups, salads and main courses and the desserts are also great. Even at breakfast there is a huge choice, there should be something for everyone. Otherwise one could also in one of the other hotel restaurant food, where you can also in the open sit. Tip not far away the etihad towers. In one of these 5 skyscrapers is a jumeira hotel. And the hotel has an observation deck on the 74. floor. From there one has a really great view over Abu Dhabi and the sea. The drive up costs 75 Dirham, but the entrance fee is a verzehrbon for the lounge at the observation deck, so for coffee, cakes, soft drinks or afternoon tea be redeemed. And on the way home one can time the ritzy stores in the two untergeschossen the etihad towers standing. The is a small mall, but there are only luxusläden for watches and jewelry or clothes and shoes. read more

Was very skeptical. Concrete block from the 70. Wanted before the trip even transfer, am glad, that it did not work. The intercontinental is a first-class hotel. Big room, large bathroom, bath and shower, separate toilet, bidet. Wireless internet in the room including (liege still there on the bed and write this report), a view of the sea, page of the city is also not bad, since skyline views Abu Dhabi. Top clean, very friendly and especially professional staff. Advantage of a business hotel: the wonderful pool area is not crowded, no crying children, very relaxing and peaceful! Many arabic-speaking ... guests and unfortunately also russian business and conference guests will. read more

    Very professional staff. Everything else to claim would be rude. Very friendly. English should you can, here and there one understands german, but if a swabian speaking few complained, that no german understood, then i don't know more a... Room cleaning perfect.

    Pool area very nice, fine dressing area with showers, schließfachern, toilets, found okay, very neat. Sauna area. Large, halle, but, as so often in southern countries... Sauna is neglected, small, 5 saunasteine on an old oven, dingy. Preferred hotel manager : the sauna and the steam room are ancient, filthy and are in no way the style of the intercontinental. Is ridiculous, that signs peace is asked, but from above (gym) trolls disco music from the screens. Together with music in the sauna area, we have a little amusement park feeling. Conclusion: pool area hui, hotel pfui.

    Small beach on the lagoon, behind a Marina. Until the middle of the year, an additional pool area built. Of course you can hear at the beach the noise. Am not dead. But by much nicer pool area. Airport Abu Dhabi... No idea. I fly from Dubai, 1, 5 hour transfer. Plenty to see during the journey. On foot you can not much to do. Take a taxi... Very cheap. To the shopping in 10 Dirham... 2 Euro. Drive to the mosque 25 minutes... 32 Dirham.

    Big room with modern tv and 3 german channels (ARD, ZDF, RTL). Nice shower, and a large well furnished bathroom with a separate toilet room. Mostly enough drinking water in the room, coffee was free in the room, we also always after the strandgang in the afternoon beaming use.

    We mainly used the standardrestaurant at the meal times is met. Here you have to say, plenty of choice and something for everyone there. However after one week also good time facilities left to be desired. There was partly theme nights such as' indian 'or' arabic buffet ' but also always international dishes and delicious grilled meat. The atmosphere was okay, the times however also very crowded, so we 2 times for a table about 5 minutes had to wait.

    The friendliness, we have very different experience. During the meal times in the restaurant one can only say, class and very accommodating. In contrast the pool area. Here you will not be served and need to wait. An order which surely not was cheap, comes rather disturbing the service of, unbelievable! In the reception area was very properly discussed and they were always helpful, good sunday The cleaning of the rooms was so la la. So for a 5 star hotel it shouldn't happen, the forgotten water tissues or the bed edges on tore clean wiped. In the hotel english perfectly, partly on the front desk even speak german.

    There was a fitness centre with well-equipped, modern equipment. For the hotel there is a marina. At the beach, which was very neat and with white sand pleasant to celebrate, there were enough free towels and and they had very probably relaxing peace. At the moment the seashore but renewed and by new buildings updated which optically a future pleasure promise. It is certainly a good thing, it's a pity that the building project still was not completed. Disturbing it was (even if one can hardly believe it) absolutely not! Very relaxing, we were except for one day, otherwise every day at the beach and the great water for cooling.

    Taxis were always from the hotel from available and the place was quickly and cheap to reach. Each drive, until to the other end of the city, cost only between 2a maximum 5 Euro. As shopping mall (very many available) we would Marina Mall the best name, where appropriate, the Abu Dhabi Mall. To the airport it was about 30 minutes, or roughly 40 kilometer on a well-developed, definitely jam-free traffic autoschnellstraße. The hotel is on the edge of the city at an offshore lagoon to the sea.

The whole hotel area was very clean. The rooms were 2 times per day clean. All in funktionstüchtigem condition. We had a room on the 15 floor, the lift needed honestly a few seconds! The hotel looks inside right Nobel from, a nice architecture, very nice design. Throughout the hotel there was wlan the access code we directly after the check-in were received. Even at the beach you had wlan reception from the seafood restaurant. We had booked half-board with breakfast buffet and alternately lunch and dinner. The you could choose freely without prior notification, that was really great! The ... guest structure was mixed many germans and french, british, a few businessmen, and local. Russian guests i did not and i also no guests negative. Especially the you and pick-up service to and from to the airport with the from the hotel the cars (BMW 7 to and from Cadillac escalade to the airport) alone for the two of us pure luxury!-) read more

    The room was more than sufficient for two persons. Simply huge!. A large hallway with a built-in closet in which an iron and ironing board was, a safe, bar with hangers, and slippers. A large mirror was available. The room had a really big bed, next to a sofa and a small area with a kettle with various teas and coffee. The highlight was the huge picture window overlooking the corniche, etihad towers and Emirates Palace. At night just wow!. No noise, since the road at night not so busy. There were always enough water bottles in the room present and it every day water bottles refilled. The bathroom was also very spacious with a separate shower and bidet. On the large desk had a plasma tv a few german channels had. In the room there was also a between-plugs for the plug sockets on site. The air conditioning worked very well, the phone next to the bed could one the entire lights, as well as the air conditioning taxes ☺ all furniture and the whole equipment in perfect condition. The rooms, as well as the whole hotel area with the outdoor area was very clean and well maintained. Just a nice hotel, the five stars rating!

    There was a main restaurant on the 3. floor we always had breakfast and alternately lunch and dinner. The selection of different meals, warm, cold, hearty, sweet, local and european was more than adequate. We could not even try everything. 2 times per week there was a theme buffet. At the breakfast buffet were meals adapted to the different guest structure offered. A time with mexican food and a time with seafood dishes, sushi, etc. English breakfast, oriental food, lots of fruit, cereals, eggs in different variations from the chef. For asians soup, hearty, warm dishes, pastes, croissants and so forth at noon and in the evening there was always alternated warm dishes, several salads, fruit, chocolate, cakes and so on there was nothing left to ask for. For breakfast there were different juices, coffee and tea free of charge. For lunch or dinner you had a soft drinks per person free of charge. Since the tables in the restaurant at the weekend many local visitors to be reserved, because they have breakfast there or dinner it may happen that you a few minutes to wait for a table. We had however the whole week was only 1 time for breakfast. (circa 5 minutes waited ) the restaurant is very clean and evenings there was a very pleasant atmosphere with candlelight and the view of the city. In the hotel but there was still a yacht club, a belgian restaurant. The lighting of the restaurants in the outdoor area was really nice and the smell of shisha pipes staggered such a right in the world of the orient. The food in the restaurants themselves i cannot judge (i did not eat there). The preiskarte was in the room. The prices were already happig. The seafood restaurant by the pool was rather unimpressive.

    In the hotel, at the front desk and the country itself is english spoken. There was a staff at the front desk the german was but not always on-site. But as it is not as motivated as the other we didn't so often at it. The room twice on day very nice cleaning staff cleaned. Service was really super. Change of towels, bottled water, tea and coffee every day refilled. We are very early and normally we would have after the check-in a few hours our room wait, but our room was within a half hour ready. The luggages us already at the entrance decreased and the room brought. The wait was coffee/tea in the piano bar are offered. In the meantime after about 10 minutes, another employee and asked, if everything is okay and, if he can be of help. All, that means the entire staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Really great, great service!

    The location of the hotel was for us it was simply perfect, a great starting point. Emirates Palace was just a stone's throw away, we are at night on foot on the way, very quiet. The corniche is quite in walking distance. Taxis are with the concierge to order by a few seconds was also already one in front of the entrance. The doors were opened, gentleman like like it belonged. There are, provided from the hotel, a free shuttle service in the direction Marina Mall at certain times. Then you can super from the Marina Mall a public bus in the direction hotel swallow, costs 5 Dirham (circa 1 Euro.) Bus station directly in front of the hotel! Taxi costs about 20 Dirham more. To the central bus station is about 25 minutes from there you can take the public bus to Dubai go. Buses are perfectly alright, ride about 1,5 hours tickets are available at the bus station to purchase. Cost 40 Dirham. To the hotel le royal Meridien it was about 15 minutes drive by taxi. The public beach was also nearby about three minutes with the bus.

A pleasant and appealing hotel. Very clean and big room with a pleasant and very good service. The pool area is not really for small children thought. And the food in the buffet restaurant resembles sometimes a gamble, if one got a table would. Recommendable is the table for dinner to reserve, also with the half-board. The construction at the beach didn't disturb so much. All in all a lovely hotel for one week beach vacation. read more

The hotel is absolutely great what the service, size and furnishing of the rooms and the location in Abu Dhabi regards. The Marina shopping mall is only approximately 10 minutes out -minute walk. Extremely positive striking is the nice, professional staff in all areas of the hotel. Also the size all the rooms and the bathroom is exceptional. From the outside the hotel makes (typical interconti-concrete style) a not so good impression, however therefor all interiors and room very nice and tidy. The only downside during our stay were only the many, loud russians in the hotel. But for the ... poor and sometimes embarrassing behavior the russian (village -) guests can the hotel nothing. For this reason i would nevertheless the hotel recommend a lot!. read more

We stayed in this hotel for one night. Unfortunately the arrival with bus is currently somewhat more difficult, as it works there (new pavements, etc.). The hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately we had a few complications. When we arrived, our light in the room not. We complained it, since after about 30 minutes, no staff gkeommen is, we went into town and hoped to return home, that the problem is corrected. Unfortunately, we had to then state, that the problem still existed. When we a service staff on the etagenflug met, could this right help. Also we had to on ... arrival quite long our luggage in the room wait and the air conditioning we could not immediately off. As had a very nice stay. The hotel has gotten a bit old, however in great condition! Staff are very friendly. Food is fantastic (had half board)! \u263a beach unfortunately still a construction site. The beach on Monte-Carlo Beach Club (Saadiyat Island is recommendable. Ferrari-wold is rather disappointing, except ' the fastest roller coaster the world'! I had a wonderful stay in the hotel had. Staff was always friendly, helpful and always a step ahead. Area was okay. I always took a taxi, it's affordable, not comparable with Germany. The hotel is directly by the yacht port and surrounded by very pleasant and cosy restaurants. I (w) am alone to Abu Dhabi traveled and had no time, fear, and i was also to late nachstunde on the way. We stayed for 5 nights at the intercontinental Abu Dhabi. We really liked the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We really felt comfortable. The rooms are massive. Extremely large bathroom with a bath, separate shower and separate toilet. The bed totally comfortable. We would have love with to Germany taken. With the half-board you can even decide, whether you for breakfast lunch or dinner selects. This is very pleasant, provided for example a day or nachmittagsausflug on the program stands. Also here in the restaurant are the waiters very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent, varied ... and there is something for everyone. The beach until the spring of 2013 increases. The existing construction intrude but not. The beach is with chairs and parasols. Towels are available free of charge. The beach is on the hotel's Marina (small port ) in a few minutes more than reachable on foot. A small tip at this point. If the 'city view' rooms are booked, you have to be prepared with traffic noise in the room count, because the hotel at a busy street and this from the catalogs is unclear. For sensitive people better the 'sea view' room, they have view of Marina and the sea. It was a very pleasant vacation. The hotel we can warmly recommend. read more

The hotel is really very recommendable, if you a combination from bathing and shopping vacation want to do. Lovely is the breakfast directly in the area of the port. Currently already far advanced extension in the beach area (pools and restaurant) - the concept will certainly the guests a great beach area and thus very relaxing offer. Despite extension we could the beautiful sandy beach enjoy, all of the staff unbelievably friendly. Service, cleanliness in the room top, front desk incredibly welcoming - we will be back! read more

Very pleasant hotel, although from the outside not very presentable. Had to switch rooms, because ac broken (room temperature 16 °c). Went to 3 are 'five engeneers' still not. Besides that everything was great. Two receptionists spoke german. Free shuttle to Marina Mall and khalidiya mall With advance notification-worked great. Taxis are available in front of the hotel. Postcards with the concierge at the entrance and the Porto (3 Dirham) paid. Soft drinks for dinner were inclusive with the half-board. Room to the street unfortunately very loud. The Emirates Palace on foot about minutes distance. Private hotel beach with clear ... water - Karibik ambience of course you should in Abu Dhabi 't expect. Very good value for money. read more

Intercontinental Abu Dhabi, run by a german manager, with great staff, the always helpful and nothing to be desired leave. No matter wether the nice shuttle bus driver or the very nice austrians, the at the front desk switches!
