In other words, simple, clean well run cheap hotel
Once again we would do not book this hotel, there the rooms with numbers higher than

Exceeded my expectations absolutely fulfilled. Had a standard bungalow almost at the southern end the hotel. Beach/water 15-20 meters away. It was nice and quiet. I found the way, even though hampered, not too far. It is certainly a certain distance to the restaurant and to the front desk, but could but also no one in the hotel directly on the terrace look. Bungalow was alright, clean, nothing broken. Not only yesterday built, you could tell, but has fulfilled my expectations. Tv/fridge/coffee maker were not available, also because of the ökoanspruchs of the hotel, i could also time 2 weeks ... do. Clear, the hotel with this equipment even more stars and it would also significantly more expensive. The location, separated by the channel, i found very good.
What i disliked was the please no plastic bottles to the hotel to bring, in the restaurant these but also sold-this is inconsistent.
Water you can Anthony, directly in front of the hotel buy, if one not from these water dispensers refill wants. Refill is free. I myself this water dispenser suspect.
You can book excursions in the hotel or Anthony. Would recommend as the wilpattu national park, this is nicer than for example yale national park and not so overwhelmed. In yale it is partly as on the highway. In addition in the hotel there is a Ayurveda center where you can relax.
I was there after 4 weeks round trip very relaxed.
I am with the choice of the hotel content and it can recommend with a good conscience. read more

Very nice location, directly at the beach, friendly hotel staff. Food of high quality! I a great time spent, however, during the entire stay the air conditioning not working properly staff was a 'hard', could the problem however also not solve = temperature day & night on 30 degrees. On the internet you have the impression from an island of peace / ökohotel, the usual commotion (entertainment, live bands, etc.) Finds but unfortunately also there instead. Overall is very on environmental care, lights from 22 o'clock almost completely switched off, trash separately, no disposable use, etc. German gästebetreuerin and ... sellers at the beach partly quite pushy. So-called roadshow on the first day predominantly serves in addition, specially offered tours to the man/the woman to bring. Excursions from anthoney (one of the 'pushy' seller at the beach) ☺ are absolutely recommendable. He also runs a small supermarket at the entrance, where you daily necessities to buy can. Rooms are very nice and daily very affectionately (flowers on the bed, etc.) Presented. Sometimes there problems, you do not understand-wi-fi cards were for example every day from about 19 hours sold out. A small rip-off whilst settling the bill (can, of course, always a mistake be): bar paid invoices were on the day of departure again in question. Price level for beverages moderate, but of course at least three times as high as outside the hotel. No or very few prolltouristen! The larger town of negombo (here gives it supermarkets, banks, etc.) Is by tuk-tuk in less than twenty minutes to reach. Overall highly recommended, however i would (as i just my peace and a few interesting tours wanted ) next time rather a calmer hotel gladly accommodated. read more

Very nice hotel but disfunctional serious management.
We had a deluxe bungalow (which is not exactly cheap). On our prior parts us with this at the moment not free was. When we asked why that could be, said one us: there are guests in the house the decided to prolong and so would our rooms not free. They offered my party for one night a normal room and on the next day then in the bungalow to move. For me, the same should be the apply, however already for 2 nights!
As a small compensation offered, for the rest of ... the day of arrival, all-inclusive. We agreed and acted for every a 20 one-minute massage out.
My normal room was ok. But my traveling companions friends was under all sow! Dirty and run down.
The next day they left me to the front desk call and asked how satisfied i with all inclusive was. I said it would be yes very pleasant, but if we had wanted it then we would have booked directly. They offered me: the all-inclusive could keep for the rest of the vacation, if i on my deluxe bungalow do and in the normal rooms place to stay. My friends however may in the bungalow move and should all inclusive when you leave.
We said that we have a common group sieve and not wanted. ( one can eat and drink whole day so much he wants and the other to pay. What a nonsense.)
After heavy discussions with the management, we could both move in the bungalows and kept due to our perseverance for the rest of the vacation all all-inclusive.
The sad is only: we have to very lots of people the same also with them dressed was. The system this hotel. The rooms double rent and double kanta.
Also the travel agents are aware of this problem, but can not much to do.
With a short stay from 4 nachten after a trip as it was for us, the whole thing is quite annoying and annoying. read more

We have a standard bungalow with a view of the sea booked. Bungalow was quite worn-out and very carelessly equipped. Besides extremly far away from the main building or beach. Additional payment on a deluxebungalow definitely recommendable. Deluxe bungalow much spacious, new and tastefully decorated included very nice bathroom. read more

The hotel has our (by reviews angelesenen ) expectations fully fulfilled or exceeded. Therefor our tip: please check before what you book and have their own expectations be clear.-)
The bungalows are two categories offered: standard and deluxe. If you very comfortable like, should for one of the freshly renovated and compared to the standard bungalow a bit more luxurious equipped deluxe bungalows decide. If you're looking for a dreamlike beach area and accommodation with wortwörtlichem 'view of the sea' sets, the is probably with a standard bungalow better advised. This fall direct comparison the deluxe variant rather rustic ... from (no tv, no kettle, rather 'worn'), but despite all the best clean and tidy.
This assessment takes place from its own experience: after staying in a deluxe bungalow upgraded were, the however not our idea (in direct adjacent to the main building), we were allowed on the next day on its own initiative in a standard bungalow in directly at the beach move.
A large plus point: the courtesy and hospitality of the staff (from the cleaning staff to the guest service): without exception every member of staff had a warm smile and a friendly greeting on the lips. Best example: on arrival at 7 o'clock in the morning one placed for us unbidden and absolutely accomodating not used room available, to to shower, us rest and to move.

We were with two friends of ours after a round trip on Sri Lanka and before the far flight on the Maldives, for two nights at ranweli.
You had us kindly a bungalow with common entrance and two rooms each with a large terrace and view of the sea given.
It was not a deluxe - bungalow, but the most beautiful and largest room on the whole journey.
Maldives included. After the rather strenuous round trip this was a peaceful oasis.
We had luck, that the 2. evening a saturday and we enjoy a candlelight dinner under the starlit sky ... came.
Our travel agency had us the hotel most warmly recommended. I would the hotel also immediately again, for a longer relaxing vacation, if the sea not so cloudy and boisterous would be.
For the short time it was not a problem, the Maldives waited for us.
I am in the waves cracked and was nicely around was whirled, but swimming and snorkeling it is not possible and i would for a longer stay missing.
Gladly i am thinking of the relaxing stay with fine buffet and delicious drinks ( Piña Colada with fresh kokosnussmark ). The choice of beverages in the all inclusive was very much better as to the Maldives. read more

The hotel is very idyllic location somewhat remote from the touristy between a river and the sea. It can only over a small holzfähre be achieved, the river with the mainland links.
Why the hotel only 3.5 stars, does not have itself us opened, may is at the standard rooms (altogether 38). We had a deluxe bungalow with a view of the sea booked, the air-conditioning, ceiling fan, lcd tv, safe, radio, fridge, kettle, and tea and coffee bags had.
We had booked half board, but with the broad breakfast in our opinion after sufficient.
Predominant part of the ... guests comes from Germany, but also english, french, and local (on the weekend) are including. The average age is around 45 to 50 years, children are more of a rarity. read more

Have first a 4-day round trip and afterwards in ranweli checked in. An isolated and quiet hotel where you really great relaxing can. A beautiful green facilities with many mangroves and palm trees and dreamlike sunsets. Have a deluxebungalow and were with this very satisfied. Our roomboy mendiz our bed every day great with flowers hergerichten and the room was always very clean. In the entire hotel is very much value on cleanliness and friendliness put. The food was always good, we personally the currys not so i said but we have nevertheless always something delicious to eat found. Have ... booked all inclusive but it is enough definitely half board from. At the beach and at the pool there were always vacant chairs and the pool boy/lifeguard was immediately handled beach chair mattresses and towels. If you want to go on an excursion or a massage custom should this over Anthony book, he has a small store in front of the hotel and is considerably cheaper as in the hotel. There are mostly german vacation guests what very pleasant is. The chipmunks are very tame and like gladly rolls. The familiäreathomosphäre in this hotel is really great, which certainly due to the size and the departure very difficult. Very nice hotel for a relaxing vacation in a wonderful botanical garden with colorful butterflies, many birds and sweet chipmunk directly on the ocean, to simply feel good. Friendly staff, good food (currys were not too hot). Bungalow was cleaned daily and the bed with flowers. Excursions bay be good and cheap at Anthony, everything worked well. Unfortunately was the sea water not so nice, as expected, rather brownish and therefore not so inviting. The Ayurveda-offers in the hotel were excellent. Altogether it was really enjoyed and we recovered very well. We can bungalow complex recommend. read more

The hotel is very well-kept, the staff very friendly. The gastmanagerin spoke very good german and always has an ear to lend for their guests. Our bungalow was not renovated yet, still local nicely furnished, until to the sea there were 30 steps. It was a beautiful quiet holiday. Nice and entertaining. The weinnachtsmenü simply brilliant. We were satisfied all around.
Only by the river directly beside the hotel was the water dirty with pflanzenresten, twigs and treiholz, so that bathing in the waves no pleasure was. The but 2 days heavy rain caused. But also besides that the water is always cloudy. The excursions were all well organized and informative.

We were three adults and it was cramped. When it rained was the content of my open suitcase wet. The room was worn, the air conditioning loud, the fan also. The food was ok, for breakfast there was always the same and unfortunately only coffee and tea, milk and two juices. Room service was quick and courteous. We felt so comfortable. The standard bungalow was toward the beach. The beach was clean, for swimming not suitable, for small children not at all, since there are strong undercurrents is.
