(luxury-?) Hotel with significant weaknesses!

The Sofitel is not far from the ferry and airport on a beautiful white sandy beach. Both flight-, as well as schiffslärm are not noticeable. Unlike a incomprehensible comment a other writer is the beach very probably good to use, as there were hardly any corals and the sand very fine-grained is. You can also very good into the water without riffschuhe to use. We had a luxury beach bungalow booked. Here is worthwhile the (small ) extra charge, as the bungalow right at the waterfront and not 'just' in the 2. row with partial poor view of beach and ... water! The bungalow was well equipped, the nicest thing was the open garden shower. The last night we have in one of the superior over water bungalows. However we liked the strandvilla better, as you on this over water bungalows but right limited and actually no more than on the terrace or snorkeling can. The snorkeling however is an experience, as the over water bungalows of many corals and fish surrounded are. The extra charge for the one night was acceptable 85 Euro. Now to the less pleasant details the us the stay troubled and statement in the title led. As we very much both privately, as well as business travel every year some 5 star places to visit are the following negative things notice: Transfer: There is no from the airport from the port a shuttle to the hotel Check in: Receiving annoyed staff we should at 36 degrees our suitcase even the strandvilla bring, without knowing where this, in a new still unknown resort, is. We had to get itself a driver with golfkart organize. At the check-in there was, as in many pauschalurlaubhotels tokens or vouchers for two beach towels and two snorkel-always. So much for the trust of the hotel in its guests. The towels were not brought, but had to by the pool will pick you up. On the final day had to the towels again by the pool delivered. The exchange for the towels received vouchers, then had to whilst checking out be dropped. A terribly guest-unfriendly and above all cumbersome procedure, in a 5 sterne house differently, were to be handled. Restaurant: Because we booked half board had was breakfast and dinner with us, not however the beverages! Neither water nor other soft drinks. Only for breakfast were coffee and different juices in the price included in the price. Furthermore was in the main restaurant 'pure ' the food 'à la carte' not included, but only the dishes at the buffet (buffet only at the weekend, in the week menu with three appetizers and main courses). Came again fast the feeling a pauschalurlaubhotels on. In a good 5 stars hotel you should as a guest the choice, between map and buffet to decide, without an extra charge. Whereby it is to be marked, that the guests in a 5 star hotel for dinner not a buffet supplied should. In the 2. restaurant 'k 'was as entitiled' à la carte ' meal, however with unverschämtem extra charge, depending on appetizer (1.000 xpf per person), main dish (2,000 xpf per person) and dessert. This procedure we thought were for a 5 star house and unworthy. After a complaint with the restaurant manager solved the situation sovereign and satisfactory by giving us one evening in the restaurant 'k ' without an extra charge invited and we in the main restaurant 'pure ' also all remaining evenings 'à la carte' food. Also the stage in the middle of the restaurant area included colorful discolicht and loud (after a few nights annoying) shows reminded us of a pauschalurlaubshotel somewhere on Mallorca or Canary Islands. Definitely not fit such activities in an alleged 'luxury' hotel. Unfortunately there was, except for a few exceptions, hardly english-speaking restaurant staff the 'pure'. This is because, as was explained to us, that (despite low season) there much laboring and less permanent staff is busy. In the better restaurant 'k ' spoke the staff a good english. Which we liked was the always hard-working, friendly and professional sommelier of the hotel. The wine list was with an estimated 200 sorts of above average well stocked. Even at breakfast there were a few weaknesses. Unfortunately there was only paper and no cloth napkins, that dishes fit often not together, often missing the small coffee spoons. Unfortunately was the smoke permitted, so that we had during the meals often from neighboring tables above average were. Room: The beach villas were, except for a small something, wonderful. Because of the beautiful island we have the flatscreen tv hardly used but there was, until on cnn, excluding french transmitters. As part of the accor group is the Sofitel of course a french house, however you should in such an international holiday destination more than one international channels offer. The villas were near to the beach and were bright and friendly designed. The strength the wi-fi connection was good and the price with circa 5 American Dollar/hour bearable. Unfortunately there was just on the first day two complimentary bottles of water. Also on demand was the water not replenished, one had to the mini bar buy. This procedure is a 5 stars hotels, especially in such a hot area, unworthy. Check out: Furthermore we have the possibility the ' late -check out' used, this was at a reasonable price of circa 50 Euro offered. In short: Generally can be said, that we moorea found very nice. The southsea really want to discover, must definitely Aitutaki in the cook islands to visit. Who ' only ' Tahiti and moorea saw, the original and true flair of the south seas missed. Moorea and Tahiti are now much too touristy for a unforgettable südseeaufenthalt. Real südseegenuss you can for example on Aitutaki enjoy. The best with a private lagoon and snorkeling tour. Stay in the Aitutaki pacific resort, a true luxury hotel the ' small leading hotels of the world ' group. read more

We have a wonderful week as a part of our honeymoon at the Sofitel spent. It is a very nice star hotel with about 100 rooms/ bungalows. There are gardenbungalows ; beach bungalows and overwaterbungalows, which very nice in the large gardens are embedded. Everything very clean. The guests were mainly couples from France, Italy, USA and New Zealand but also a few families with children. read more

We had a luxury garden bungalow in 2. row with almost direct view of the lagoon with the overwaterbungalows. The bungalow is very nice and decorated up to date. The main room has a huge bed which we from the lagoon could see. There is a tv, a table with two chairs, a large armchairs, as well as a refrigerator/mini bar, and schränkchen with drawers. Adjacent is the accessible kleiderzimmer with a safe, iron and ironing board. On the other side is a great large bathroom with two sinks and a shower at. The toilet is extra. Lagoon is a terrace with seating. A super bungalow.

There are two restaurants. The main restaurant pure ( for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and the specialty restaurant k (dinner) also a bar. We have only breakfast in pure taken. This is as a buffet with seating on the terrace with magnificent view served. There was everything that our hearts desired. On a egg station were eggs cooked to order, as well as pancakes and french toast. There were different bread rolls, bread, Baguette, toast, cakes, pastries and croissants. A variety of sausage and cheese, more hot food, yogurt, muesli, jam, honey and fruit. As drinks there were different kinds of coffee, choco, tea, milk, water and juices. Everything always tasted very good for us and was attentive refilled. Other meals we did in the two restaurants and the bar not eaten. The menu was extensive and the prices upscale.

The staff were always very friendly and you can in addition to french and polnesisch good communicate in english. At the front desk very good english spoken. The room cleaning took place daily and was excellent. Evening came again the maid, around zuprüfen, whether you fresh towels broke, the bed uncover and the programme for the next day to bring. In the program are always the daily opening hours of individual institutions, whether it something special returns etc.

At the beach there are a lot of chairs and a few hammocks. There was at any time free chairs. At the beach there was the also a small water sports center. Here, kayaks, pedal boats, etc.. Can be rented, as well as diving and equipment be booked. We used it but we found the prices in comparison to water sports center in our hotel on Bora Bora very high. There is a wonderful pool with great lounge chairs, the super comfy cushions have. There is also enough umbrellas. Furthermore there is a spa, which was nice in the complex was integrated. We got a 30 minutes free massage, which a dream was. There are a variety of treatments, reasonably priced a little higher as in Germany. Everything is very clean. For a fee there is internet access.

The hotel is located in our opinion on the most beautiful beach in moorea with a view of Tahiti. The airport is only a couple minutes away but you don't hear it. Twice we saw a plane to Tahiti flies. For the beach we would fully give it, unfortunately there were in walking vicinity no restaurants and shopping possibilities, therefore a small deduction. By car one is however fast in maharepa (restaurants and shopping) and vaiare (capital with large supermarket) by car in about 10 minutes Excursion possibilities are offered in the hotel.

Really beautiful hotel, great room, the most beautiful beach the island located. Staff: almost all very friendly. Exceptions there are probably always. We had problem at the check-in. There are two different types of bungalow directly at the beach in the 1. Row. We had the cheaper booked, however was nowhere mentioned, that this room however right next to the sea beach chairs, but no beach in this area is available. After more than one hour discussion with a loud becoming Receptionist, we then got an other room. This was not in the 1. Row, but a gartenbungalow, but nevertheless ... nice and well situated. The food was OK, although not our taste. read more

This resort is on the island certainly the best! It was renovated in about two years. On arrival we were given juices and cocktails! However the location, the hotel is located on the most beautiful beach. Water bungalows on stake, the lagoon, the wonderful view, just the best! The whole area is very well maintained, and also the beach. The room have a large bathroom with doors to the outside! Fantastic! The food was top notch, it was just everything, on the we were so hot, starting from seafood, fish to meat, also the deluxe restaurant is very recommended. The ... entire staff was extremely attentive and friendly. We had booked half-board and lunch in the shops for shopping (and water and wine for at night), otherwise it is ridiculously expensive! An ideal place to snorkel! A little walk to you will find shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The resort has beautiful tropical plants, lots of palm trees. I would drive immediately again there, but for the price, I'm going on a quarterly basis on the Balearic Islands? read more

We spent 8 nights in this hotel can enjoy no reservation in recommending and were super satisfied. Our bungalow was directly on the beach, but since the garden bungalows are almost directly behind it, you can save the extra for. Size and the condition is very good and the cleaning staff were always quick, but still always very efficient. The location on a small bay and the beach are u. e. Preferred choise on Moorea. Despite the fact that we were all very pleased, I would like to highlight two things: The extreme ( and in our opinion, not fake) ... friendliness of the entire staff, and the choice and quality of the food (both breakfast and dinner). At night we have just the "pure" tested and were always loved this place, what was offered. Just great. This new, upscale "K" we don't know from personal experience, but since everything from the same kitchen, will certainly not be worse. Our recommendation: Fly there + enjoy (yes, yes, I know, it is that simple is not). And the NOTE, that it is not a cheap or cheap destination is, I don't actually here or!? read more

This hotel has now become top level which you can expect as a tourist. A beautiful resort, great spacious Gartenbungalowa in local style, only a few meters from the almost empty beach, no battle for beach chairs, very good, abwechsungsreiche breakfast ( only the many birds stealing around the rolls, if you went to the buffet again), so always cover. We had half board, it was a dream, folklore free buffet every night, in other hotels you pay for 30 euros extra. Garden bungalows from number 400 better location and nicer beach ( left side of the resort). left branch ... of the OWB better too. read more
