Affordable last minute solution

I booked a room just a week before a conference and the price was still very affordable. The hotel room is clean and comfortable. The lobby is a bit abandoned and looks like it was last refurbished quite a while ago. The staff is very friendly but the food at the restaurant is not great. I d only recommend it as a last minute solution as it is also a bit far from the happening areas. read hotel review

A little off the Strip

This was a reasonable Starwood Hotel, rather dated but it met our needs. it was a short ride by taxi to the Strip or you could get the lightrail from across the raod that would take you either end of town. Nice to have 24 hour gym and pool access and great that for $5 you could rent a set of workout gear including shoes. read hotel review

Low-key but close to the action archived

Spent a long weekend here during the college basketball tournament. I liked the location; a low-key spot away from the craziness of the Strip, but you can get there quickly, in about a 5-minute walk, or maybe even less if you cut through Bally's. Hotel has its own little casino in the lobby; mostly machines plus some table games. Conveniently for me during the basketball tournament, there was a sports betting desk where there was never any wait, in contrast to the long queues at Caesar's and other places I visited. And each wager at the sports desk brought me ... a free drink ticket - I ended up with more of them than I could use. The hotel itself is up to the standards of the Westin brand - nice room of decent size; good bathroom; comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was above-average and there was also a convenient Starbucks location on-site. Rooftop pool is somewhat small but I enjoyed it. read hotel review
