A very nice hotel with a good price-performance ratio. We were very comfortable. The friendliness and competence of the staff i would like to stress this point again. In the nearby China-restaurant was delicious and inexpensive food. Exercise caution in the crowded buses, if you don't want to be victims of gewieften crooks. All in all a very recommendable hotel Rome. read hotel review

Booked this hotel for 2 days, for a city trip, booked. The location of the hotel is good for all the sights of rome to reach (bus, underground, tram). The hotel looks from the outside not particularly from, is inside but very well maintained. The rooms are functional and clean. Unfortunately no german tv channels, but we didn't need it. The electrical system functioned only with a pin at the key. The rooms were cleaned daily and tidy. wireless internet works well only in a few rooms. Although you can do without the breakfast, because there is only jam and ... honey, in addition hard 'rolls'. About 500 meters away from the hotel there is a supermarket. All in all a cheap hotel with a very good price-performance ratio. read hotel review

The small hotel from the outside is not the best impression and a bit unusual the reception one floor up, but the rooms are ok partly freshly renovated. Breakfast is for city standards and the staff general. Friendly. The location is great, if you have a Hotel Leo express arrives not far from the train station. From here you can reach everything great, tourist buses etc. Rome is always worth a visit. read hotel review

The hotel is located on the Piazza Vittorio Emanuel, circa 8-10 minutes from the central station of rome, the Termini and about 54 minutes from the nearest subway station. The nearest tram stop is 2 minutes to the right out of the hotel, metro and train station to the left. The hotel is very winding, therefore, everything well arranged before. Everything was super clean and well-kept. Wi-fi - code was free of charge available at the reception, 2 Euro per person hotelsteuer for Rome you have to check out at the front desk to pay. Our room was very large, dsas bathroom was at least 4 star quality. The furniture in the room was 2 star standard: tv, a chair, a small table, safe (key against a deposit 5 Euro available at the reception), 2 bedside tables and a closet and a bed. The bathroom was relatively new and very clean, modern furnished with additional bidet.

  • Gastronomy

The breakfast is rather sparsely, many different kinds of jam, honey and a sort of relatively geschmacksneutraler cheese. Rolls, in its own cellophane bag Lidl-more grain and wholewheat bread in several variations and wrapped cookies available croissants. Coffee/dte water /Cappuccino and two different juices from the machine. The atmosphere is moderate. Since the two vending machines unfortunately almost continuously noises make. Here would be a radio great, so that the ' automatenmusik' not increases disturbing noticed.! Best ingredients for the breakfast even in middle supoermercado buy and with the nice older waitress came to keep in the refrigerator during the day when you leave. Then one does not need on of nothing to do.

The front desk staff, the two men, alternately service had, were always very friendly and especially competent. There are big single blade log maps to go at the front desk, which i loved. The room cleaning was reliable and good, although the roommaids have not seen. The lady, the only the breakfast service was very attentive and run the 'in' alone very good.

From the airport, take the train journey with the leonardo express about 30 minutes, then. 8-10 minutes from Termini to foot up to the hotel, or with the tram line 14 or 5 drive. Walk from the station of the express train from the Termini left out and left the street. Don't be surprised, it takes a bit, to a road to the right to Piazza Vittorio emanuell goes on, before some roads (certainly 10) to right, but it is enough once about 1 kilometer straight up to a branch to Vittorio emanuell to go, then turn right and at the Piazza Vittorio emanuelle the first left. After about 70 meters you will find the hotel on the right hand side, 100 meters away is a very good great Mercado on the right side, the everything for breakfast leads, what the heart desires. Evening, we could well in the Trattoria italiana food. From the hotel to the right, until you reach the crossing with the great Mercado, then turn left and up to the next crossing. On the corner is the Trattoria.

We stayed in the adjoining building of the hotel with a room to the inner court, therefore very quiet. There was in the 3. floor of a house further rooms, the private flats, but by a different entrance are separated. The room (room 304) was very spacious (double bed with small table, small desk, chairs), as well as the bathroom. Towels were changed, if one put them on the floor. Unfortunately there are no german tv stations. According to the hotel staff needs a german transmitter from the hotel to be paid for.

  • Gastronomy

The breakfast was as often already described - german for us somewhat habituation needy (rolls, packaged whole-meal bread, different jams, Nutella and honey, packaged cheese). We have us in the close supermarket with sausage set. The staff was so friendly and this for us in the fridge of the hotel kept. The breakfast room is not very comfortable, but clean. If one has pitch and only against 9:00 a. m. to the breakfast, it could be, that you have to wait for a table, since the number of tables with the guests when fully booked condition match.

Bad, how often described - the area is not. From the airport one drives the cheapest with terravision to the main railway station Termini. In the airport you can to a switch from terravision (on the right side, facing the exit of the bus station) the ticket also just for the return trip - buy (8.00 Euro). Careful: at the return trip at the meeting place of terravision you have in the small cafe from terravision a boarding pass for the bus to get. With the metro is otherwise, everything was good to reach. All tickets for public transport sold the hotel at the front desk. The metro was easy, since there would be only two metros is (red and blue). The plan with the stops there is a download on the internet. From the train station is only one stop to the hotel ('Vittorio emanuele '). We are but from the train station to the hotel to foot gone. Has about 10-15 mins. There were three restaurants' around the corner ', but the one (on the left side) is not cheap.

The rooms were for a 2 star hotel really very generous. There was a large double bed, and a work desk, a luggage rack and a flat screen tv on the wall (only italian transmitters). Mini-bar or fridge there were unfortunately not. The bathroom was relatively large with a shower, a bidet, toilet & sink. Everything was very clean, everywhere there were tiled floors. It was relatively cool in the room, still was at 35 °c outside temperature the air conditioning system necessary. For the air conditioning system you pay extra 5,- Euro per day - but was however in the summer in all cases, the worth the investment! 2,- Euro per day one must take into consideration also still extra for the additional in Rome plan. The hotel gets for this hotel category (2-sterne) definitely the full score!

The breakfast was the only, rather negative point. However, one should just a 2 star hotel in this regard did not know god what do. There were rolls (italian ' kompressorweckerl') on the tables. Everything else picked up from the buffet. For the coffee, there was a machine - the coffee tasted: well... Multivitamin - and red orange juice came - picksüß - from the automat. Otherwise there was in typical italian style all packaged: croissants, butter, jam, honey, nutella, caper cheese. Otherwise there was no cheese, no ham, etc. although no cereal or something like that.

The service in the hotel is very good. The staff, especially at the front desk, are very nice and can give advice on all possible. It is also spoke very good german. Otherwise english od. italian. The room cleaning worked very well, everything was very clean. The cleaning staff 1,- Euro per day on pillow behind. On the departure day it was unfortunately not possible the rooms are a little more than to the very last day available check-out at 11:00 a. m. to keep. Was probably because, that it very well were booked. The luggage until we were able to our evening departure without problems with the front desk.

We arrived at the airport Rome fiumincino and drove with the bus (nonstop around 4,- Euro per person for 1 distance) to the main train station Roma Termini. It could have been a train given, however 14,- Euro per person. With the bus was you in about 45 minutes to the main train station. From there we drove with the taxi (7, -) to the hotel. Walk would be about 15 minutes was, what we however with the luggage didn't want to. As it was late, we didn't want to the subway (1 station Termini to Vittorio emanuele) take. The hotel is located so near the train station. On the one hand a great location at Rome to explore (from the train station there are all possible subway & buses, also the hop on/hop off buses go here way), on the other hand - as in almost all the cities - the bahnhofsnahen were not necessarily top addresses. Should say: many beggars, trash in the streets, etc... In the streets around the hotel and work (shops) apparently many asians and indians. Street vendors vatch a on every corner of your hats and umbrellas, etc. for sale. In front of the hotel leads also a tram line past. Metro ticket (100 minutes in 1 direction valid) costs 1,50 Euro per person. The underground network is not very well developed. There are currently only 2 lines (metro a & b). The lines c&d are currently being built. A day ticket for the subway, tram and bus costs 6,- Euro per person. We drove 2 days with the citysightseeing-hop-on/hop-off buses around : 20,- Euro for 24 hour / 25,- Euro for 48 hours With these buses you can get very good an overview of the city give. The location is what trips to the objects of interest is very good. The 1 sun deduction for the rather dirty the train station.

I was with my little son alone for 3 nights in this hotel and can really only recommend. Cleanliness and friendliness may some 4 stars hotels staffs. You just feel great. It is not a luxury hotel-this is clearly. But simply small, nice and pleasant. Unfortunately the shower is very cramped. I was so clean, but i think, that larger or stronger people who had problems. It was also no handheld showers available. But perhaps veriert this in the rooms. To get to the hotel, you have stairs go to the reception desk. For handicapped people or people with strollers ... so not suitable. The area is not the best, but not dangerous. Next door is a cheap and good supermarket, a great ice cream parlor and opposite the supermarket a delicious and affordable pizzeria. Transportation is good, but you can to many sights also walking distance (only peter cathedral and so on. Are too far.). The breakfast is for italian conditions also okay. Thumbs up for this 2 star hotel. read hotel review

The rooms are huge and very nicely furnished. The accompanying bath is huge. The shower is large and the allüblichen disgusting shower curtains in vain, since the shower with a glass front is. For the ladies a hair dryer was available. We had a room with a small balcony the courtyard, which the reservation recommended since it to the street even at night could be very noisy. There is also a safe, but it was so small that just a mobile phone and a wallet fits purely. Minibar does not exist. This we didn't miss anything but a little fridge would be appropriate. The rooms are clean and are cleaned on a daily basis.

The Taormina is located on the edge of the old town. The metro station (Vittorio emanuele ) is 5 minutes away on foot. One drives with the shuttle bus from the airport for 5 Euro per person. 40 minutes up to the metrostation (Termini), from there drives one stop with the metro (line a red) to Vittorio emanuele. From the it is 5 minutes on foot to the hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location to discover the town. In the other rich 4 days though to see everything which one in Rome should have visited. We stayed for the 4 days including breakfast 180 Euro per person paid, this is for Rome and the hotel is very good. The next supermarket is 5 minutes away on foot. As are in a few minutes many good restaurants. Right next to the hotel is rome's oldest ice-cream parlor. The shop for an ice business huge. The portion is from 1,60 Euro and is the best italian ice until now we have eaten.

This hotel is wonderful for a city break, as you the whole day on the way is. The hotel is by seem and large poorly sound-proofed corridors very loud. Who for breakfast with packaged jam and coffee from the automat contently give, finds here this is it. All sightseeing spots are well reachable on foot. If you're not long run would like, at the just round the corner all possibilities of the transport. read hotel review

We absolutely the right choice met for our 3 day city break in Rome. The hotel has approximately 35 rooms, is very clean and well cared for and everything was nicely renovated. The staff is super friendly and always in a good mood. The central location is suitable, the most important sights to reach on foot, where you in 3 days anyway not all can see. There were mostly german, dutch, italian and Austrians all ages in the hotel. Not suitable for handicapped people, since there was no elevator. read hotel review

We had a small but lovely room on the 2. floor right on the street. Attractive wooden furniture and everything very clean. Firm mattresses, not saggy. The road noise we have not particularly notice. The windows were good Lowered and we were the day trips really tired. There is also a air conditioning, but it was not needed. Tv is probably only italian, us however also not bother us. Watch i can find at home. The bathroom was large enough, shower, toilet, bidet and sink. All daily cleaned really well and on request the hand towels changed daily. We also had no complaints.

The breakfast was okay. Since we were there in the various reviews a read, what we expected, we were not surprised. Coffee, tea, cocoa, white bread rolls, whole wheat bread, butter, different kinds of jam, honey, Nutella, caper cheese and juice. Everything as much as you want. It was sufficient and good. There are certainly more diverse but complain you can not. It is reasonable value for money in any case. The lady at the breakfast was also always nice taken care of, the everything available and everything was clean.

The staff was very friendly and some of the gentlemen at the front desk also spoke german, english anyway. We had e-mail for pick-up from the airport requested, as we had at 20:00 o'clock landed. The worked great. We have 45:00 Euro paid, were quickly in the hotel, were able to have good food and the pleasant start. Special thanks to mr d. the organised for us has. We had no complaints. It was all ok. There are some local nearby. Hotel exit turn right until the next traffic light and the road to the left up. 'la taverne italiana' was recommended to us by the hotel. Very friendly, good food and cheap. We were very satisfied. At the end we are also in the ice-cream parlor fassi approximately 100 meters right from the hotel. Meeting place for young and old. A traumangebot cold delicacies!

The next subway-station is Vittorio emanuele the line a (red ) approximately 3 minutes away. At the hotel exit left straight ahead on the other side of the street. The tram line 14 drives right on the hotel past. We have however not used. We had a 3 daily ticket for metro and bus Bought and are sometimes simply got where we were. The train station Termini is also easily to reach on foot. There we the tickets at the kiosk at the exit of the bus terminal bought. The ticket for the Leonardo Express (train to the airport) we immediately worried there. The ticket for the Leonardo Express one must before departure at the platform devalue. Small red-green device on a pillar at the platform. In the train, there is no possibility. Threaten otherwise 100,00 Euro penalty plus ticketgebühr. Ticket for simple travel costs 14,00 Euro.

The hotel Taormina was a good starting point to explore Rome. We were with the price-performance ratio very satisfied. On request we received a room with window to the inner courtyard, which then really very quiet was. The room to the street could be somewhat noisy, as the tram drives past. The room itself was very spacious and clean. Only small deficiency in the bathroom were the lack of storage space. There is free wireless internet in the area the front desk. Also a computer with printer free of charge (for example onlinetickets ). In the vicinity of the hotel ... are the tram stops, and metro. In previous evaluations already many a time the location in the 'asiatischen' quarter criticized. But we were never there felt uncertain. You leave the hotel to the right you get to approximately 300 meters the best ice-cream parlor of rome. Really very recommendable. A bit further is also a large supermarket. read hotel review

The hotel Taormina is in a central location in Rome to find. From the main railway station Termini are approximately 10 minutes away on foot to the hotel. The great location allows, most of the sights to reach on foot. To Kolosseum you would walk around 20 minutes. The hotel is clean, the rooms decorated up to date. At our travel time were guests of many Nation represented, especially english and german. read hotel review

The hotel room was big enough. Especially the bath surprised by its spaciousness. Safe and telephone available. Our room faced the side street and was very loud. The windows are not really geräuschhemmend. The whole decor was maintained, the rooms lovingly decorated (paint, decoration etc.).

  • Gastronomy

In the hotel Taormina only breakfast. The breakfast unfortunately leaves-as with all of our Italy-travel - much to be desired. The coffee comes from the, already several times mentioned, pluvermaschine. We personally, unfortunately, he has not at all tasty. There are two juices, unfortunately also only ' anrührsaft'. Also tea bags stand ready. Otherwise you will find bread rolls (dry), croissants (sugars) and zwieback before. In addition various spreads as cheese, various jam and chocolate spread. All in all a quite sparse facilities and for a good start to the day unfortunately not recommendable. In general we would on our next Rome-visit a hotel without breakfast select, as it on every corner cosy cafes are, the in the morning good deals with, for example, coffee and pastries,.

The staff is friendly. The towels were on request changed daily, in the 5 days our stay was 1 time the bed linen exchanged. Otherwise was the room very clean. The rezeptionisten were always very friendly. Directly to the front desk stands the guests a computer with internet access available, as well as free wi-fi.

With the Leonardo-express leads in 30 minutes from the airport (fuimicino ) to the central station and after 10 minutes foot march one is also already in the hotel. A metro-stop you will find right around the corner. A tram stop is directly in front of the hotel (so unfortunately very loud). Less figure-friendly is close proximity to excellent gelateria ' cafe ' - about 20 meters away from the hotel. The hotel is located in as already mentioned 'asian quarter'. We personally found this to be not so bad, since we also on, for example, Trastevere the one or another weird gesalt over the way ran. At night it was not, in the nearby located park to go. Plus is definitely the central location, the much to reach on foot can.

The hotel Taormina is very close to the station Termini. Great friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms with wardrobe, desk, furniture, tv. Unfortunately, it is on a slightly busy street (via principe eugenio), on which until late at night the trams durchtuckern. Breakfast was ok. All in all very reasonable value for money, which in Rome sure not so easy to find. read hotel review

Hotel very good location. Supermarket a few meters only away. Kolosseum on foot 10 minutes away. Everything else to have to visit the metro or take the tram. Tickets that are available in the hotel. metro and tram 5 minutes away. Restaurants in the area. Hotel lies in asiaviertel. Breakfast is not so good. There was only jam, butter, cream cheese and Nutella. Who the sausage miss it, we went to the supermarket sausage and bought for breakfast forward. No one said something. Coffee is a matter of taste. We are now not the strong coffee drinkers. It was enough ... for us. From the machines and tasted more after water than coffee. However next to the hotel is a café, since we have Cappuccino and Latte for each 1 Euro drunk. Was delicious. read hotel review
