Hotel Gran Bahia^{(3.5 stars)}

The rooms are pretty small and ageing however they are clean, the bathrooms are like the rooms, but the we had known, as it is not a very new hotel is. We had the safe for 10,-Euro/week rented and had also wireless internet, all not a problem, the front desk everything was faster than fast organized! In the bathroom are clear signs of age and use to see. That doesn't mean, that it not clean was, definitely not!

The restaurant by hotel, and apartment house-guests use, in 2 layers there was the dinner, for breakfast not, because it was quiet, especially if you like we early revolt and around 8. for breakfast went, lovely and quiet. Dinner there was at 18 and at 19 o'clock, the rate was enough to completely from in peace to eat. The food was very plentiful, fresh and delicious. There was in the week also a buffet with mallorcan food, everything was very clean and also lovingly decorated. If something was empty, it was really quick new, fresh meal filled up without one point should have been. The waiters were very nice and friendly and from time to time was also time for a short chat. For soft drinks we 1.65, -per bottle paid, this was on the room bill written and paid with the departure. The atmosphere in the dining room was calm and relaxed and the food there was something for every taste, fish, meat, vegetables, pastegerichte, potatoes, really important... Aijoli and plenty of olives, so everything was delicious. The dessert buffet offered for example separated. Types of cheese, fresh fruits(figs, bananas, oranges, grapes, etc.) , dates and cakes, small pies and three sorts of ice cream, oh, not the pudding and creams to forget, so really wide choice. The only 'gefahr'stellte for us only isolated, very hungry retired people, the concern had to starve and almost panicky the food threw, oh well, there were also, my husband got a morning coffee to cross, as the hasty gentleman behind in him weiterschieben wanted and valentine at the moment a ' vollbremsung'vor fright made... Suuperschnelle infrequently btw, thanks! Was kind of funny, is not seriously what happens' grins'

On arrival we were really friendly and the lady at the reception radiated friendly and not fake. Every of the staff spoke very good german. Our requests for wireless internet and the safe were immediately and without any problems done. We arrived in the room and and the internet 'ran '. The whole atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed, friendly, all the same with whom you had to do. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had nothing to fault. On our morning of the departure we the front desk pointed out the drain in the bathroom floor mounted (was loose), and it was immediately recorded (with room number, etc.)

When 26/27° c and sunshine, almost no clouds we were at the beach to find, since we a beach vacation wanted to do. The water was wonderful clear and still very good for swimming, not too cold. The beach was every day with specific räumfahrzeugen'combed'. For 2 beach chairs we had per day 5,-Euro paid, an umbrella we didn't need it. At regular intervals there were showers with fresh water (against sandfüsse ). It is worthwhile once snorkels and fins to use, there is always something to discover.

My husband and i were from 4 october-11. october 2012 at the gran bahia. Ok, the hotel is outdated, but still worth the price. The rooms were quite small, which we but functional and very comfortable found (decor from the 80., you should probably renew). Our balcony was in the back of the hotel and were only in the evening for a cigarette used, therefore was enough not spacious enough space for sitting totally from. The average age the hotel guests was about 60 +. The hotel was mainly german tourists booked.

The beach was right on the doorstep, only a couple of steps and we were at the beach, right down at the hotel was a supermarket, so you had to not even long run around and find. To Alcudia it was about 10. minutes by car. From the airport we are by bus about 50 minute drive (a, or unload). Evening was the main street with shops, cosy bars and pubs right around the corner, without however too much 'remmi demmi '! At the beach promenade very nice cocktail bars, the really worth a visit are (we were with great pleasure in ' pirates, Jamaica ☺. There were at the front desk many excursions were offered, from the partybus to Arenal to action or culture ( Jeep Safari is always recommendable, for me a 'must', you can see much of the beautiful countryside and it is not a boring trip).

The apartments are by the size quite good, the very old-fashioned establishment. The air conditioning is very loud and could therefore at night not to stay.

The cleanliness in the restaurant was good. For dinner there were always two wine glasses on the table, but you have a beer ordered, one had the choice, either drink from the bottle or wine glass use. The drinks bill you could easily collected on the day of departure pay.

The staff are very friendly and all spoke respectively understand good German. The' cleanliness' in the rooms was the worst what we have ever experienced. On the day of arrival we asked ourselves, if it was the maid even through are. We had not the impression, that correctly cleaned. The continued on the whole week. The only thing which made, were the beds and the towels were changed. The tub to actually not to use. The fittings were very fossil and rusty. On our request at the front desk, why not cleaning of the rooms happened, they told us, that the apartments, tuesday and fridays not cleaned. In the hotel description in the room but was, tuesday and saturday. The lady explained to me, the changed. Unfortunately not in the information sheet. We then however at least fresh towels received

The pool is a joke. But the us did not interested. The loungers are already very early in the morning with towels reserved. At the beach there are unfortunately no showers.

We had an apartment booked, which by the size was good. Unfortunately was our apartment exactly on the corner, which means half view of the sea and otherwise exactly a small intersection. Which certainly not the worst was, but under us and just over there were a café, since wurdmorgens at: o'clock from the tables and chairs navigate zurücken and good and proper roof on - respectively pushed towards, sleep was over. At night the garbage pick up, from the bus to mention. The breakfast was sufficient. The downside was, that you with every cup coffee the machines had to wait in line. We have it then leave and top breakfast. The dinner was tasty, still varied. Fruit there was just from the can, apart from a bowl with apples, bananas and neckterinen, not even melons. Thus had dinner also taken care of. Everything in vain paid. The safe costs 10 Euro the week and 3 Euro deposit for the key. Remote control for the tv 12 Euro deposit.

The beach is right next to the hotel. But it is very narrow and crowded. The loungers are hardly enough. Direct in the house is a supermarket, baker and café. In the area are plenty of shops, cafe's; bars and restaurants.

The first offered rooms have we because of its small size complained and we were given a larger room on the 6th floor given... However but with a very small bath. With the legs on bd adhering to the toilet to go, is yuck! A small washbasin without storage - make up or cream we had to on the bettablage store. Bathroom fittings lime deposits. Oh yes, a tv, approximately 20 years old, dirty and in campinggröße with 5 or 6 programs there was also. The balcony was already described= too small for two! It was cleaned daily - nothing special.

It is now happening... 3 + stars should actually be ok. However not in this hotel! The dining room is not welcoming and could also features hot, because food you could not really! We booked half board and the food was more than bad! We had to every day eat out! Evenings there were salad / lettuce and immature tomatoes... Yet in the water buoyant and kohl grated covered with leftovers from the previous day or soup always. 3 hot dish to choose from-always cold, like spaghetti with red sauce, aqueous Gulasch, pressfleisch breaded, blander fish and mashed potatoes out of the bag... As fensterkitt. Aqueous sprouts in the summer... Very delicious. To the dessert is also not many a = finished products= cakes, pudding and homemade wassermilchreis, as well as ice - which we for security reasons didn't try. Two käseklumpen to cut. The food a la minute a grill in the restaurant before the eyes of the guests be prepared... Nil return! We have in many hotels the same category already experienced differently. In short... A selection of cheapest and worst convenienceprodukte.! Cold dinner, which actually should be hot, is a no-go! Since leichtverderbliche food, the microbiological point of view in a short period of time noxious are at least 60 °C time should be! No wonder, if the warmhalterechauds not working properly. The breakfast was similar. Coffee from the machine... Disgusting. Aqueous juices from the machine... Disgusting. Daily 2 types of sausage salami and so-called ham (pressfleisch ), scrambled egg out of the bag... Naturally cold. Fresh roasted fried eggs... None. Sausages, bacon when offered again cold. In dough baked cauliflower for breakfast... Or was the eve desired. 2 sorts of cheese or some finished products from the very poor kitchen diverting attention away. Boiled eggs with green egg yolk... Was probably not more completely so freshly? If there was something hot should be, the at the buffet made available table-ware back seize. Since it offensichtich not enough dishes in the restaurant and warm and stained as it from the kitchen area came at the buffet has been made. Buffet-decoration... There was no! We are still bad, when we remember the food!

The waiters can not for the bad food - but the unfriendly restaurant manager and the unmotivated effective chefs. The other employees were hard working. A ray of hope was the barkeeper Paolo in the hotel bar... Extremely friendly and helpful!

Pool - there was a with artificial grass umlegt-if you like it :-) The fitness room also has its best times behind itself.

The hotel is already outdated and the desired view of the sea in very small balcony - a balcony its name actually not worthy - really beautiful tight. Two adults find hardly any space. ' strong' tourist would not at all on the balcony come, because the balcony door is not very wide ( room 617). Our room was big with a small spanish wardrobe. The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels were changed as needed. We booked half board and the food there was normal meal times - more on that later-. To the nationality the other guests we can't say much-we were rarely there. The average age we estimate on 65 years.

The beach in front of the hotel is separate only by the promenade. The promenade consists of bars, dining room-hamburg, curried sausage, pizza, Schnitzel - gladly and often offered, perfume stores and shop's. The village itself has no spanish flair.

Our room was very spacious, the bathroom and the balcony also had a nice size. We had a partial ocean view and were able to Alcudia look. Everything was somewhat older and the bathroom accordingly also a bit calcified, which did not disturb us however, since it was clean. We were prepared, since we had before already many times had read. If this would have disturbed, we would have something else booked.

With the restaurant we were satisfied, as well as with the divided time for dinner. Better, as if all at once. We were always excellent, so we had no problems a good table. Here the staff was very hard and after each course the plate was cleared away. With the food we were also satisfied, it was always very tasty for us. The selection was also sufficient. I don't know, what some tourists always had to complain about. Some want to for little money only the best.

The staff was friendly, but not overley. At the front desk were all very nice, in the restaurant were the employees in the stress, and i think, the friendliness the enthusiasm of work simply forgotten. But the spanish were always a bit stoffelig, in comparison to other countries (Greece, Turkey). At the bar at night, we always liked it, one has us served in a friendly manner and times a few nice words changed.

The pool area was at the apartmenthaus. Here one had only luck a beach chair to get, if you before breakfast towel spread. We stayed there from our balcony from watching. On this matter could upset. Some put your towel early from, the chair maybe in the afternoon to use. So what that is unacceptable. The area was not very big.

We can all the complaints not understand, because we felt at home and we were happy. You know, what you bay and also have to consider, that you ' only a three stars house has, which the price was also still appropriate. Since you can not expect oneself pure luxury and must already times a few drawbacks in purchase. If you all the very best like, must one stop a bit more spend money.

The location is unique. We have however not the beach is right in front of the door selected, because the us was too crowded. Mornings at 10 o'clock already little space. We are always about 30 minutes to the Playa de Muro and could completely relaxed beach chairs, with some distance to the next visitors. But for the evenings we enjoyed this unique location. Beautiful promenade and everywhere you could sit and enjoy a drink.

Our room was on the 6. floor. Estimated 10 meters ². The furniture was very old and sparse. The closet very small, festinstalierte hangers. There was no clothes outside air. The bathroom very small, almost no counter space. Fixtures were calcified and unsightly. The withdrawal does not work. The cleanliness left much to be desired. Towels were changed daily. The balcony it cannot be topped. It fit straight two chairs on it, one can hardly move. A new coat of paint would be necessary. But there was a side sea view. The safe in the room was rusty. The tv in miniausführung and asbachuralt. The remote control only for a fee and no use made. A really neat verängerungsschnur makes sense, since it was only in the bathroom and bedroom both an outlet was.

In the hotel there was a dining room. Aparthotel a restaurant. The dining room rather too small. The dinner in 2-layered system offered. You had to decide on the time of day. Mainly tried german dishes to offer. Once weekly local which we more spoken. The german dishes we found not so great. More variety in the fruit would be nice. The cleanliness in the dining room was okay. The atmosphere rather as in the school. Drinking went on invoice every evening and at check out.

The staff worked very hard friendly and nice. German not a problem. The cleaning of the rooms left nothing to the imagination. Additional service only at a charge.

We didn't take advantage of the leisure activities on offer. Twice weekly live music or dj. We have quickly the long sought. The music rather for elderly people. The beach very narrow but clean. Chairs and an umbrella for a fee. The sea water pool very small, also the complex with chairs. One had no chance to get a beach chair. Because of the retirees already very early the towel is thrown.

Average hotel, in our opinion no three stars. The hotel complex clean, but here and there renewals needed. We had the half board. Mostly german guests (seniors)

Nice location, beach by the waterside promenade. Shopping and entertainment directly on-site. Excursions only by bus or car to reach. Airport Palma about 60 kilometer.

The rooms ( had zimmer602 ) are rather small and little, finely. Old and worn. A roar -tv in monitorgröße and 5-6 German program. Balcony tiny. For single room it would be ok, but as a couple the not at all. ( estimated level: 0.80 times 1.80) But very good view from the 6th floor over the sea to to Alcudia, very nice! The bathroom: small and old. Toilet, washbasin, bidet and bath tub. Very limited shelf space for 2 persons. Calcified and stumpfmatte mountings. Bed: double bed saggy mattresses. Wobbly/noisy with the sport ;-) Remote control for the tv against deposit (12 €) Safe for a fee (10 €P. Week, 3€ deposit)

Breakfast: toast, rolls ( typical of the country), croissants, cheese, ham (squeezed ) marmelade, honey, scrambled egg, roasted mini sausages, fried breaded cauliflower (who likes it), 6 minutes eggs, muesli, cereal, yoghurt, fruit basket, machines coffee/ choco, machines juice. Dinner: soup/stew, bread, salad bar with vinegar/oil, almost daily noodles with various species tomatensaucen, daily fish, daily 2 different meat dishes, daily vegetables ( dead ) almost always fries (7 times in 10 days) once rice, 2 kapü. Desserts: always some törtchenhappen, fruit basket pudding, canned fruit, and ice. Choice enough for dessert. Drinks go during dinner on the bill! Shortcoming at the table-ware: came with the flush not afterwards (perhaps times a few plates etc. More shopping) Buffet was always refilled, was never empty. Drinks

They all have their job, no question, some more and the other less. If you with them they were done and nevertheless were guests nothing special. One was just completed. Washing machine supposedly for a fee ( not used) Cleaning of the rooms: superficially, under the bed for example was also on the 10. Day the dust of the on the day of arrival there was to see. Towels were changed daily.

On 23-09-2012 for 10 days arrived. Over Alltours booked. Half board 1322€ for two people. Average age 60 years Too many German guests The hotel normally has already gotten very old, only the entrance area/ front desk/ bar make a really neat impression. There was probably modernised. 2 houses: once the hotel with a dining room and bar and opposite the apartment house with sport, sauna jacuzzi, pool and a bar.

Absolute wonderful location! Directly at the beach only separately from the promenade. Beach is clean, 2 loungers and a umbrella on day 10€ fee. Lots of bars/ restaurants and shops on the promenade. Beach bar/ restaurant ' Cacatua' is very recommendable. einkaufsgassel with many souvenirlädchen easily accessible on foot. Bus station 200 meters from the hotel reachable. From there good connections to Alcudia, Palma, Porto Cristo, and so on for a fair price

We had a double room in the apartment house changed. The room was superficially cleanly and practically furnished. On closer look at there were a few corners, the not cleaned. In our room was a new air conditioning inserted after the current (drilling) dust to judge, cannot long hergewesen are. On the downside was, that the balcony on the street side was. The nightly noise was very high.

We booked half board and for a three-star hotel were the gastronomieleistungen adequate. My expectations were by the previous reviews not so high. I have to however say, that the food, which I found, not the worst. The selection was enough. About the taste one could argue. Negatively noticeable are me, the offered drinks at the breakfast buffet, like water or juice - simply not enjoyable -. Otherwise I did the katienenartige atmosphere not promised.

The staff were always very friendly and willing to help. Speak for the complete staff, as for the receptionists and -men, the cleaning staff and the service staff in the dining room. The cleaning of the rooms was cleaned every day (at least the beds were made every day). The towels changed daily, provided that these are the bathtub/ shower put.

The hotel description and equipment corresponded to the pictures. The entrance area was very inviting. The furniture was very convenient. The use of the elevators was a challenge. They are very small and temporarily broken. As a passenger you will already times' in the elevator put '. That is during our stay several vacations happens. We had however a double room in the apartment house and the use of the elevators bypass.

The choice of hotel for a beach vacation is recommendable. The directly at the beach is great. The distance between airport and hotel is about one hour ( by car).

next to the living room was separate bedroom available. This rooms were spacious and functional. In the living room were 2 sofa beds, a table with 4 chairs, a flat screen tv and a flatter coffee table. In the bedroom was a double bed a chest of drawers and built-in cupboards. Air conditioning was in every room. This worked well. The kitchenette consisted of a sink with cabinet, a fridge ( which however often alone opened), 2 hobs and a microwave. Also was for 4 persons dishes, cutlery, glasses and so on available. The bathroom was very spacious. There was a bath with a shower curtain, a bidet, a toilet and a washbasin. The mountings had already better days experienced. They were partly green tarnished. Silicone and joints of bath tub were partly should I say dirty, discolored or moldy. Can it not say.

For the number of guests was the dining room a bit small. So a part of the guests at: o'clock and the other part at: o'clock to eat come. To eat I would like to first say the following. At the hotel it is a three stars-complex. The I when booking known. Thus expected I no luxury meal which I not at all I would like. Me came it however sometimes before, as if one some in amended form already times seen or had eaten. Choice and quality could have been better. Atmosphere in the dining room never came on as the majority of the guests after a short time this room left. To 4 days we are also not more to eat gone.

The staff were friendly and polite. At the front desk they spoke perfect German. This could in the dining room and the room service not expect. Here agreed with hands and gestures, as well as fragmented with a mixture of German, English or something similar. The rooms were 5 times weekly cleaned. Towels were always changed. However at the very infrequently, as well as other details for example toilet paper was saved. At the front desk I had told me that our coffee machine was broken. When I 2 hours later to the room was a new there. The worked great.

The somewhat too small pool with about 40 loungers was in the apartmentblock. The floor consisted of kunstgras. Sports and entertainment were not offered. Apart from that I can't say anything about that, since we were always at the beach and the pool never used.

The gran bahia, a hotel and a apartment complex. Altogether about 170 hotel room and 44 apartments. We had an apartment with a view of the sea and half board for 9 days rented. The front desk, the lounges, as well as the staircase made a clean impression. The complex only by German tour operators offered too, so that it only German speaking guests was. There were almost all age groups available, although you had to say the majority were over 50. (as we)

As mentioned compensated the location of the hotel for some. Over the beach promenade one was immediately at the sea. ( approximately 20 meters) the flat sandy beach into the sea is lovely. One had however quite early at the beach for a beach chair and sun screen to catch. We had decided for the whole time two loungers and a umbrella to reserve. ( the costs however 10 Euro per day) In the immediate area are supermarkets, restaurants and plenty of shops to stroll.

Small room with simple décor. There the furnishings also so old it the building I can have nothing to add. The cupboard door nearly fell out, unfortunately! Of course, and not differently expected noisy. Otherwise see above

There is no restaurant, only the dining room, the part. Clearly too small was. They trouble for the waiters, what however not quite work. One night was the dining room sometimes complete, since no more place was available. The bar is only very rarely someone visited. The prices are however small, as well as in the dining room the drink prices very reasonable. The food was in sufficient quantity available, however only in small selection and very boring in taste.

The staff were rather more for the waiters. A happy 'olla' include not always the good sound. ( unfortunately). The head waiter was also during dinner not irritate, that you just ate. He did urgently the room number and name on his getränkebeleg and presented this then also next to the plate so that one it immediately ausfüllte. One could inform oneself with all, usually speaks German and/or English. The room was except for the aforementioned spaces (see above) cleaned properly. My request was the room against another problem-free exchanged. We wanted to introduce view of the sea and not the seitlichsten view of the sea directly on the elevator!

We have the spa area not used, he should be available. The entertainment m hotel limited to two evenings in the week in the bar, live music. We have however didn't use, since we went out to were. An internet access was at a charge possible. Beach okay been cleaned daily. Loungers with umbrella 10€ per day for two people. By the pool ' no opportunity'.

The hotel is, as already from the outside and entering the hall looks, clearly older. The reception counter has so many scratches on, you involuntarily hopes, that the rest of the hotel not in a just such a condition is. The interior of the lobby, also from the 70 ''s clearly more functional and really inviting. As complex you can outside area rather less describe, the tiny pool ( sea water) is maximum for the few and the already on the eve of towel-beleger reserved loungers enough. The pool is furthermore not in front of the hotel, but before the neighboring house ( apartments). This hotel looks much younger! The rooms are very different, friends of us, after we arrived, saying: 'we live in a box'. Then after complaint, especially the completely saggy bed, turned off. The rooms were too many clean. However must one here from the limescale on water tap ( probably more months old ), as well as smaller mold on the ceiling and the green patina topped rod shower curtain foresee. The rooms are small and simply furnished. ( I didn't know, that it still crt, in such small dimensions is). We had the half board, breakfast okay, dinner, well; not really. We rarely tasty, the ausqahl is rather small. It were too many German there, a few English and other nationalities. The average age was a bit higher (40+) Altogether the hotel has not deserved three stars, I think, that a (German) currently would be appropriate.

The hotel lies directly on the beach promenade. The done, as far as one in ca ' n picafort which can discuss is within touching distance. However is there nothing to be heard, as at: o'clock most pub at the beach be closed. The location can only be rated as great!
