Was totally surprised. Review from the hotel is not exaggerated. Had even bathrobe, bathing slippers,
Whirlbadewanne.
Food was very diverse. It is missing to one at nothing. The waiters are very attentive. Kos and the

The hotel really is recommendable. The employees are very nice and willing to help. You just feel great. The vacation period in the hotel were, there was by the pool enough chairs and you could get a good rest.
The food was very tasty and varied. For any taste was something there for everyone.
The complex is extremely nice. Small comfortable small house, everything was well distributed. The complex is very inviting and clean.
But the most I will probably the friendliness all staff in our minds. Wether at the front desk, or the waiter in the restaurant or at ... the bar. You were always with a friendly and honest intentions smile welcome. There were always a few nice words changed. Everybody was hard, that we feel comfortable.
Of course a typical beach vacation want to do, that is on Kos certainly disappointed. The beaches are no long sandy beaches. There are actually always only small bays with gravel.
But since we with the hotel were satisfied, we have the pool area preferred.
At the end it only remains for me to say: thank you Hotel Platanista. We had a great time with you. And should it eventually again to Kos devious, I will definitely stay here again in this hotel again. read more

Platanista is a very good hotel. We surely can recommend it. Although we always prefer to have diner in different restaurants around, we had diner each day in Platanista. The food was amazing, the location was nice and the waiters (especially PANTELIS ) were so kind and friendly.
Swimming pool is clean and pleasant. Rooms are also very clean. Airco is super. Well maintained garden.
One remark: WIFI should be free and available in EVERY room. But this is the only remark we can give.

We had as a family ( Mother with two teenagers) a very relaxing and pleasant holiday in this hotel. Only drawback: the hotel was the first night overbooked and we had to into another hotel avoid. It was not pleasant, as the other hotel however half a star more had, but as a huge all inclusive-hotel very noisy and crowded. But the Platanista we were generously compensated: we got bicycles for the whole week and taste more beautiful beaches towards the Kos (city) head. Otherwise we could a safe at the front desk used for free and had a room ... upgrade on the poolside. The rooms and bathroom are a bit small for the Dreipersonenbelegung, however therefor very tidy and clean. The food ( half board) was absolutely delicious and diverse. The service in the restaurant was very nice. Also at the reception we were always polite and. There were not so many Germans in the hotel, more Belgian, English and Dutch. A good mixture. The two pools were also great and clean. A nice animation team has amongst others water aerobics and water polo offered. The beach was about 200 meters away from the hotel, only the road down. As already often described, there is at this island side gravel -rock-beaches. Here you can on the Sandsackstege but wonderful and without pain into the water and great in the sea baden. We wished we could have stayed longer. read more

Very peaceful location however on a small hill,

Everything was very nice. The whole hotel area was enjoyable. With the a pool there was a integrated jacuzzi and a pool bar with hump in the pool in it. The only negative was the beach. Unfortunately the with sand and in the water liked it rock. All people were then so on hotel pool. Apart from that we would come back to this hotel. read more

On 9-07-12 about 13 hours we have in the hotel checked in, quickly unpacked everything and in the nearby tavern Nestoras ( we can really recommend) gone, in order to eat something. After a good hour we returned and the video camera in a drawer done had, was gone. With the go out we have the doors reviewed and the key with us and luckily the handbag with the camera, money, identification papers and so on you can for certain say that someone with a replacement or master key into the room old. The front desk and the stellvertreternde Manager ... were immediately informed. The conversation was quite short: we should again thorough search. That was everything! The guide locally also informed and also has the incident manager weitergleitet. From the hotel management but we have nothing more heard: no opinion, no consultation, no apology.
As we at 14-07-12 again 'visit' had (the handbag in the obviously nothing was in it anymore), lay with all zippers open since, we wanted only to go home.
We find for a 4-star complex such a incident is unacceptable. Probably is the hotel management in a deep sleep and should soon be shaken up.
A recommendation for the next tourist: if you the rooms 201-204 to be allocated, the abgeschirrmten basement corridor are, please eyes and ear good open.

The medium sized hotel is located on a lateral road nearby of the city Kos.
To the small beach section (Gravel, or coarse rocks) must one a much driven on street cross-for families with small children rather unsuitable.
As a starting point for individual excursions you can this hotel choose.
The hotel is generally clean, in the hallway our room was several-day-long the same dirt.
The state of the hotel is good.
Here live rather older guests from Germany, Holland and England.

The Platanista is a clean and relatively new, medium hotel on the outskirts of the town of Kos city.
breakfast and dinner ( half board ) are a nothing special extensive buffet. We were middle. End of October, as we were ( dad, 50 and son, 13 ) with the latest guests. Most people were over 60, mostly Europeans. read more

all in all made also public areas very good impression.
it is however not a design hotel, but a pleasant homely designed complex. By the division on several houses works it not so large.
Peter may about 420 guests in the hotel stop.
end of October were mainly regular guests there (generation 45 plus). Lots of Swiss people, English, German. Very pleasant Structure, quiet and polite.

Small very well run Hotel. The guests were here as a person and as any number as in the big hotels. The food was very varied and very good quality! The hotel is not new, but the rooms are newly renovated and very clean! The air conditioning was new and worked perfectly! A wonderful hotel for swimming and relax. Very well maintained facilities. Large and clean rooms. We had the half board. The food, in the morning, evenings was good. Buffet were very mixed and plentiful. The staff were in the entire hotel very nice and attentive. The nationalities were mixed all quiet and reserved. We can only recommend this hotel. read more

Very good, clean Hotel, with an excellent choice of food. Beach across the road in about four minutes to reach.. Swimming only with bathing shoes are recommended, not suitable for children. Large stones in the water, the more difficult the swim. read more

For us it was a pleasant and relaxing vacation. You can walk to the city in about 30 minutes. By bike or moped in CA1/sandy beaches are the two until an hour to reach. We will come back again. read more
